I think Chelsea will fall short as the season goes on but they should secure 3rd spot easily. Liverpool vs City it's. :nervous:

Only watched 10 minutes in the first half(around the chelsea goal) and the last 20 of the second. I saw chelsea's goal, 3 big chances for liverpool, and sturridge's goal

How's the rest of the game go?

City the winner of this week. If they evaded a loss next week it'll be a good result for them. If Liverpool win, well, nightmare..
3 pts difference with 30 games to go is hardly a nightmare. City have a better team and that would not change even if they lost 5:0 next weekend.

Fantastic game from the start to finish, both teams have couple great chances, could have been easily 3-3. On a totally different level with United

The game’s at Anfield - it is impossible for City to win there.

Chelsea started first half better, Liverpool ended it better with more chances. Second half Salah went off, Chelsea were a bit better but both teams played very well. Open game, both teams had chances they should've scored. Hazard was through in the second half but Allison saved, Shaqiri should've scored but fluffed the finish, Mane almost scored but Kepa with a great save.

Brilliant game but at the same time it hurts to watch how these shit bag clubs are playing better than us in every possible way.

Do you disagree that at this point we can only dream about the football being played by Chelsea and Liverpool?
All the while Jose remains in charge, I do not disagree, but Jose will not remain in charge forever. He will be gone before the turn of the year (possibly sooner) at which point we will begin the rebuild.

The next manager will have an extremely talented bunch of footballers at his disposal, he needs only to get them playing at their best. Think positive.

Could have easily won which is surprising given how poor we were upfront. Keita should have started instead of Henderson. Him being captain hinders us massively.

That was an excellent game of football. Best I've seen in some time. Absolutely amazing goal from Sturridge - cnut decides to wake up finally.

City Chelsea and Liverpool all have their flaws so it will be a real tough one to call as to who will end up separating themselves from the pack.

City on last years form are better than anything I’ve seen this year from Chelsea or Liverpool but they don’t look as snappy in possession at the moment and Liverpool are throwing everything forward but their front three is a shadow of last year in terms of form. Chelsea seem to have the bit between their teeth but Hazard aside they look bang average.

Chelsea were the better team for large portions of the game and for the most part had the game under control. It took a worldie from Sturridge (I swear blind the guy retired years ago) to earn Liverpool a point.

We're turning into Arsenal here ffs. Getting giddy about nothing players.

Our players are closer to West Ham's than Chelsea's.

One can hope but I'm not optimistic. It was just as bad with LVG during Christmas, still didn't get sacked.

Agree about a talented squad. I see our squad overall at a similar level to Chelsea and Liverpool in terms of talent. Even if that is a bold statement we are at least 4th best.

You'll be out soon enough.
The worst thing about MUFC is the fact I can see Arsenal in us right from the board to the players.

That in itself is the biggest shame of all.

Quite possibly but I'm not the one wanking over being the 5th best side in the country, guess it's better than your 6th place finish last year though

Chelsea look a bit vulnerable in defence, conceded many good chances vs Arsenal and Liverpool. Maybe because they haven't quite learned the new system yet.

Breathtaking game. Liverpool do not have a single world-class attacker at the level of Hazard, KdB or Agüero and that could easily cost them. Salah has been really, really poor the whole season. He'll still score loads but that'll be because of their setup rather than true individual skill.

The very same group of players that finished 3 places ahead of Chelsea only a few months back?

That they are not playing for Jose at this point in time, does not mean they are finished.

Great game. Chelsea were the better team on the night. Liverpool looked more convincing when they needed a goal to get back into the contest. Usually I find Klopp's style really entertaining, but I have to say I actually preferred how Chelsea set up. Very interesting and eye catching style of play from Sarri. If they had a CF they'd be deadly.

Now we need City to somehow win at Anfield. Liverpool need a bad result or two in what was supposed to be their tough run.

Still think City are the strongest team. Once KDB returns I expect them to start really turning it on.

Fair result in the end. It's clear that Sarri has had a mammoth impact and we're 100% heading in a great direction. But it's also evident that we aren't quite as good in all areas as Liverpool and City are.

If we had a 25-30 goal scorer I think we'd go up a completely different level. We should break the fecking bank and go all out for someone like Icardi and sell Morata.

Love winning struggling because Watford deserved more today, even to win. It makes you stronger.

Nice game between Chelsea and Liverpool. Sarri must be fuming right now though, as Chelsea looked quite in control for most of the 2nd half.
