We don't want to blow teams away, why we only seem to give a feck after we go behind. FIFA probably on our case about it to keep games competitive.
This is a very strange trend. Only when we go behind do we decide, "okay lads, it's time to start playing".
We saw this even last season, when after going a goal or 2 down, we'd come back and win.
We must have a great team spirit to be able to do this in most of our games. It also keeps opponents on their toes as they know that even if they score 2 against us (in the first half), there is a good chance that we'll come back and draw/win the game in the 2nd half (where we are at our strongest).

We were big favourites going into this one. Should have won by a much bigger margin.
Oh yeah? I am learning every day something about this team ranked 7th in the EPL! But it was a great performance. We were "lucky" but we were well organized as well. It thrills me.

Swedish reporter just asked Jose about the scenes at the end. Jose asked her is she knew italian, which she said no. Then he said that she should ask the FA so that they can translate it to her while laughting

Jose post match:

- "The beautiful Italians insulted me for 90 minutes" was the reason for his reaction after the game.

- He also emphasised how the Cristiano goal was made by a CENTRAL DEFENDER - he may have a point :D

- We have "one final" to go, the match against Young Boys.

Fantastic result. Chelsea robbed us a win last month and tonight it was our turn to do it. These things tend to even out over the course of a season so I wasn't at all surprised when Mata scored.

That being said, the last minute winner was a really nice cherry on top of the icing of the cake. I didn't even celebrate the way I normally do, as the ball bumbled in I couldn't help but just laugh out loud!

Wasn't Pjanic the one who played the pass?

BT a bit harsh with Chesney. He has to wait until the ball goes over Fellaini before he can react.

if and its a big if, Valencia beat Juve, then we are in trouble. Now i think Juve will hammer them.

Scholes saying Szczesny hasn't improved since he left Arsenal. How many times do you reckon he has watched him since?

No we played decent against a better side and we kept going until the end and it paid off.

Jose and the players deserve credit for the improvement since the Newcastle game. We are attacking much better and defending a little better each game, just not always for more than 60 minutes.
On the evidence of the last few matches, we don't need to be great for 90 minutes. All we need is a good 2nd half and most teams seem to go down.
Also consider that most teams are not great for the full 90 minutes. There are periods in every match when either team may do well.

Moving onto MCFC - that'll be a very tough match, as they are routinely scoring around 5 goals every match and if they score 4 or 5 against us, we won't be coming back to win that match.

Tbh, I think we played well from the start this time. Our level dropped a bit in the second half, but actually we were at our weakest once Juve scored. They had the game in their hands in the next 15-20 minutes and wasted their chances. But yeah, our resilience showed again, and unlike Juve we were clinical with our chances.

Great to see after all the talk about Jose losing the dressing room, that the definitely haven't given up on the team.

Keep Lukaku out and we will see some slick one touch passing. So many triangles and lay offs and some wonderful nice attacking. I liked how we played through ground even when we were behind.
Stay like this and I will change my vote to support you Jose.

Again, not a dig against Lukaku but we just dont have the players to suit his style. I would be inclined to look for a first choice striker in the summer as Rashford is also not ready. He cannot keep missing chances every game .

Exactly. I can't imagine Juve losing a second European home game, especially to Valencia. Prior to today they hadn't lost at home in Europe for over 15 years.

Haha I was being sarcastic mate. Great win in the end but we were all expecting Juve to spank us.

I still can't get over this stat:

Juventus had never lost a Champions League home game since 2003 before today. Ironically the last team they lost to back then was us
That can't be true, they lost to Real this year.

Amazing result!! United vs Juventus was always a brilliant match up, so pleased we’ve come away with a good result this time.

Thought it was a great display from the start. Didn’t always threaten but it isn’t easy against their defenders.

Not fussed on Jose at the end. It’s just banter, Juve fans have some stick and he has the right to dish it back.

Martin Keown in the last couple of minutes of the game genuinely said it could be Manchester United’s best ever win in the Champions League...:wenger:
