I think the part missed by those who claim not much will change in terms of results regardless of who is in charge is that the animosity towards Mourinho from a large section of the fanbase goes way beyond the mediocre results and atrocious football. His demeanor and the toxicity he brings dividing the club at every level and creating this horribly negative atmosphere is a major part of wanting him gone. Mourinho only makes sense if he achieves significantly better than someone else. If another manager comes in and does pretty much the same results wise, which at this point is a very low bar to reach, they'd still be better just by virtue of not having his toxic self around the club.
There was animosity toward Moyes and LVG as well, it's not like fans were upset they left is it. And claiming fans would be happy with the same results with a different manager is blatantly not true. Imagine if it was Allardyce getting these results, this place would be in absolute meltdown.

I don't understand his point, we didn't lose players and we brought new ones. So what is the explanation for not getting better?
Selective amnesia. He already decided on a narrative and is saying anything to fit it.

The community shield is hardly a trophy. If anything it was LvG’s trophy more than his, I don’t remember anyone calling it a trophy when Moyes has won it.

He deserves very little respect for the way he’s been handling himself here, complete lack of respect and all around negativity.
I used to wonder how could Chelsea supporters give him stick whenever we played at the Bridge for the last 3 years, I now understand, the man is absolutely toxic.
He’s been an absolute failure here, 420m ffs.
How? Did LVG pick the team that won the game?

If we lose today to Arsenal, then sadly I think he should go. We will too far behind the top 4 spots then.

He did wonders with this squad last season but it wasn't sustainable and the regress was only natural. I guess this is want he means.

Few people would agree with him though. Those players might not be the best but they are not rubbish at all. He's doing a terrible job at bringing the best out of them.

It's another in the long line of 'blame anybody but me' deflections.

But surely everyone with a half functioning brain can see how stupid this particular point is. He is basically leading us to think that he is useless which is the last thing he should do.

Part of me thinks he is having a go at the two players we bought and another part thinks he simply doesn't care anymore and is saying whatever comes to his head.
I'm not sure there's any point trying to make sense of it. It was simply a bullshit point.
If anything, he's pointing to his inability to improve players.

He went by the name of Wayne Rooney
Yeah "useless".

Martial: Golden Boy, 17 goals/10 assists his first year same as Rooney's
Rashford: Academy star
Mata: CL winner, PL winner, Chelsea POTY
Pogba: Former FIFPro World XI
Lukaku: 3rd most prolific scorer in the league the last 4 years after Kane/Aguero
De Gea: Best shot stopper in football
Bailly: 3rd best young CB in La Liga when we bought him behind Varane/Umtiti
Shaw: England's future at LB
Fred: Wanted by several top teams, high energy skilled CM

But yeah the squad is useless mate. Jose is the only man for the job, the best we can do is 7th. Shut up with that **** garbage.
I am not disagreeing with the point you are trying to convey in any way at all, but Juan Mata has never won a league title in his career.

It's this.

He knows he's done here, his time at Utd will be looked at as a huge failure, and he's just waiting to get the sack. He kn

He knows none of the journalists will correct his bullshit face to face and he knows he's going to be sacked soon anyway so he probably just thinks feck it, I'll talk any old nonsense and I won't be held accountable for it.

He's genuinely deluded and believes his own bile he spews.

Unbelievably he actually fools some people into thinking it's true too. Heaven forbid he actually improved his squad on the pitch rather than spending his way out of it.

I think that's what Woodward was thinking too this summer. "Jose show me you're still worthy of improving the team without massive investment, before I throw more millions your way"

Sadly? Why sadly? You should be happy to see the back of that useless dosser.
Most successful manager we've had since SAF left, and one of the most successful managers of all time. What have you done in the game exactly?

Arsenal will beat us three nil tonight, with Mkhi scoring the winner. He won't celebrate given how much he loved United as a boy but he'll turn slowly to the dugout, raising a middle finger to Mourinho. The meek Armenian, wiping tears from his eyes, showing the world what he thinks of the parasite who destroyed his dreams.

Just confirming what I said earlier. He thinks improvement can only be achieved through mindless spending. But actual player improvement and development is out of question.
Except when the players are managed by someone other than himself, like for instance Pocchetino. That is quite literally what he is saying here, when he states that Spurs get better without adding players, whereas that’s impossible for Unitedunder his management.

How is this man still allowed to manage us? He literally denigrates the club and our players on a weekly basis. It’s absolutely mind boggling.

For those that are unaware. This man bought a £50m CM and a £20m RB. One of the teams above him did not spend a penny.
Wants the sack.

Wants the Xmas holidays off.

Scumbag manager being a scumbag. Who'd have thought it?

Eyes are now firmly on Woodward.

Lack of coaching/ineffective coaching/uninspiring tactics/poor motivational methods. A mix of all of them most likely.

The players he brought were not his first choice thus not good enough to improve the team. It's just another thinly veiled swipe at Ed I fancy for not going above and beyond for the likes of Alderweireld and Maguire etc.

The man has no notion of what it means to take responsibility for actions. I'm counting the days until his dismissal.

That's my mistake I thought he was there when Chelsea won in 2010.

I doubt Real want him back. Perez ain't stupid.
Would be nice if when he gets the sack and looks around, not one football club wants to hire him - not even a Championship side. That's what he deserves.

Yeah he damn sure has been an absolute hit over here hasn't he? Gosh we fans should all kneel down to him and praise him for all the success he brought to this club. But yeah keep bringing up his past which quite frankly I don't give a rats arse about if what you do in the present is fecking a club over in a terrible manner. The prick gets 15 MILLION POUNDS a year and can't even do a half decent job. He's a waste of space so stop it with the arse kissing.

Yeah, exactly. He's actually exposing himself with what he's saying.
