Hated this guy with a passion ever since the 'voyeur' comments. Very glad he's been cast out to the wilderness. Utd are my close second team after Arsenal, having this guy around made watching Utd unbearable.
United are your second team after Arsenal?

One man who comes out great all of this is Mourinho's agent. The man has negotiated beautifully for his client, he gets to earn more when sacked than when having a job
True but he's also now got someone there who is damaged goods and would probably have to reduce his demands some what to get work at a top level club. I'd imagine a few big teams would still take Jose but I doubt they'd do long term contracts on huge money just knowing what will end up happening.

One thing I know for sure, the Man United job will scare the hell out of any manager.
I don't get people who say this. Compared to the real elites of football this job is piss easy. I'm not sure if Mourinho would have been alive at this point had he been at Madrid, Barcelona or Juventus.

Righto. Now then, let's put the fags out, dust ourselve's down, stop feeling sorry for ourselves and get back to being once again UNITED.

I don't mean the pressure per se but the work needed to go to the level needed.

Read the BBC article:
  • Mourinho wanted to work within his own structure - the club will be looking to add a head of football.
Makes no bloody difference what Jose wants when Woodward is basically acting as the director of football.

Makes it even more annoying because you knows he's just pretending to support Jose when he should be doing what's best for the club and not doing a half assed approach in trying to keep Jose happy while not supporting him fully.

Does an interim appointment rule out any money being spent in January?

Apparently Woodward was wiser in the beginning when we offered him a 2+1 contract. Should have let it run instead of a new contract on 2nd year. His 3rd year Syndrome is dead accurate.

the funny thing is - if Mourinho was available in the morning without this obvious baggage - we'd take him in a heartbeat

Yeah, only if he was successful in his third year and fans begging him to stay that was the right option.

I hope it's Simeone or someone who goes defence first and you "I want entertainment, my poor dad doesn't watch games anymore" can cry even more..

This is football, not circus..
This club will be dead within a few years if that anti-football bore ever become our manager

I really had hoped it would have worked out better for him, but for whatever reason it didn't. What really worries me is the last 3 managers we have had the vast majority of fans have been delighted when they left the club, are we just going round in circles? Hire a manager, be optimistic, things start to go wrong, get utterly sick of the style of football and the results, pray he gets sacked, rejoice when he does get sacked, then start all over again... Maybe the problem isn't the manager at all

Unless Woodward decides to buy someone because he thinks he knows it all, I doubt we'll spend anything. Unless a DoF is brought in early and they can identify someone quickly.

Ed used to lurk on forums; he has a beat on what's going on. He's not clued up on football, but he does like to impress the fans. He'll know we want an attacking manager and not another dullard.

We've had to negative coaches and a neutral one. It really is about time we went in the other direction.
For sure. No way we can risk another negative dated appointment. We need to look to the future.

At lastthe board have got their fingers out of their arses and taken action which was long overdue.
Jose was never a first choice and as such was a bad panic appointment.
Hoping to see Woodward on his way out as well and some football men appointed.
Giggs may well get asked to steer us to FA Cup and Champions League glory now, the double is on!
Merry Christmas boys n girls, santa does exist.
