I’d like to see Neville involved in some way. Might not have the qualities to be first team coach yet, but could certainly tell the players what’s expected
He's just another idiot rabbiting on in the press without any idea of what he's talking about.

It’s December and we’ve sacked the manager. The management have pretty much written the season off with this interim manager appointment.

It’s basically saying we need somebody to just look after things until we can get things sorted for next season.

Top four is a bonus but I very much doubt it will be expected from whoever comes in.

If you think it is your expectations are unrealistic.
11pts is not an unattainable gap especially when you're playing the two you need to overtake. 11pts before the new year. It's like some of you have only just started watching football in last couple of seasons

The fact we've sacked the manager says that they think we can under a change not giving up. Again this squad is good enough thats a fact we've all agreed on and we're talking about beating Chelsea and them going on a few games bad run.

The priority for us is we need a world class coach. Doesn't matter who the manager is if garbage is happening on the training pitch. Even Ferguson was awful for the first few years until we got Brian Kidd coaching us. I don't care who it is, so long as they believe that the best defense is to attack.

Ole was certainly not my first choice, not even my top 5 actually, but it's still a very exciting appointment IMO, even if it's on a temporary basis.

Keen to see how he gets on and for the first time in a long time, I feel optimistic about our club.

Welcome back Ole.

You’ve got to have a heart of stone not to be even a little bit excited to see Ole in the dugout.

It’s not Mourinho so, at present, consider me happy. But on a more serious note, I really hope he can coach some attacking patterns of play. I hope he can organise the team to play with energy and press.

This sort of thing can be coached. It’s evidenct from Chelsea to Arsenal to Leeds. Hopefully the incoming fella can make his mark.

If we’re not in the champions league and we don’t get relegated our position in the table is now irrelevant, our season has pretty much been written off.

How can the football get worse?
We could lose more, I suppose

Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea aren't going drop as many points as us. You only have to watch football this season to see that.

Whoever it is, their remit should be attacking football. Simple as that. Entertain us.
Exactly. The season is already over anyway since i dont see us getting to top4 or winning the CL. Atleast show some good football... it has been a while.

It's a bit interesting that people are generally negative towards Eddie Howe, but generally positive to the idea of Ole as a caretaker.

It's a teeny bit absurd. "Nah, I don't smoke as you can get cancer and die, but on the other hand I'll happily cover my body in blood and meat and then go swimming with a great white"
Nonsense watch how the Old Trafford reacts when Ole leadsthe team out for their first game then ask what that reaction would be if it were Eddie Howe .

Not to mention Ole will have the respect of the players as well

It's a caretaker position. It's not that serious.
There is still a lot at stake here, we have a cup competition where we reached the finals last year. Champions League we are up against PSG and I want us to have a go. Appointing one of our ex-boys who is managing in a Norwegian League isn't the best move if we have ambitions for this season.

You would rather have Blanc? He’s been out of work for two years. It’s only as care taker anyway.
6 months aren't going to fly past us, there is still more of the season left than gone. Blanc has far more experience as a manager at top level than Ole.

Blanc, isn't all that well at the moment mate. Do you want him to have heart attack?
No idea what his health is, but I don't think Ole should be even in consideration for the position. Just reeks of trying to get the old boys band together.

I think the pressure/expectations being lifted, plus that miserable cnut being long-gone will do us fine for going against PSG and being a decent cup team. The key is lifting the confidence and spirits a bit.

Somebody who is willing to challenege the board if needed, not be affraid to drop players like Lukaku, Matic and Fellaini. Most importantly block contatct extensions of Valencia, Jones and young, although Young always works hard and gives his best, but the other 2 need to be fecked off.

Not sure if this is a wind up. But Neville comes across as one of the only few who actually know what he is talking about.

That's not fair Ole has zero experience at top level as a manager.

Sorry to break it to you, we are not going to be 'fine' just because Mourinho is gone. There is still a massive job to be done here, having someone who knows the club will help in lifting the spirits for next few games but seriously he has no credentials to be managing a club like Utd, even if it is for six months.

Like few have said before me, take off the nostalgia glasses and see it practically. It's going to end in tears.
