Saw a 19yr old Nigerian called Samuel Chukwueze destroy Madrid, especially gave Marcelo and Ramos a torrid time. He played quite well against Barca too.

Has a release clause of 40 mil euros

customary youtube video -

Some players give off a certain "I am a superstar in the making and I am desperate to join United" vibe.

This kid is one of those players.

Sancho is the obvious one, but super expensive of course. Dembele is another one who could maybe get sold in the summer depending on how his situation evolves.

Then i would like Odoi, but i guess we have no chance with Chelsea selling him out of the PL.

2 other names should be Chiesa, i think he is starting to show a lot of promise and be the main man for Fiorentina. And i would also add Christian Pavon from Boca, wont cost the bomb but someone ready to make the next step. Buy him now rather then waiting til someone snaps him up relatively cheap and we show interest a few years down the line and pay the double or triple price.

That Chukwueze lad from the videos also showing a lot of promise for someone so young.

Options are there, we need to make moves.

Chelsea would never sell to us but he's special talent. Surely destined for the top.
They sold us Mata who was thier player of the year. And Matic. Probably wont sell him to us put there is more chance than City or the Scousers

Worth noting that he usually operates on the left and there was a small adjustment (didn't do as well initially) for the right side. Maybe he does well consistently from the right or he noticeably does better on the left. Better to wait and see.

So the club has no intent to sell or are they playing hardball?
He wants to go as he thinks he has no future there. Chelsea are pretty much in a no win situation, so it's better to extract the maximum price .

Hudson-Odoi is the sort of right winger we need. The guy hugs the touch line and whips in a terrific cross to attack. Chelsea would be foolish to let him go. With Hazard potentially leaving for Real and Pulisic (assuming he'll play on the left when Hazard leaves)... he could possibly get some game time.

We have Sanchez and Lingard with Chong/Gomes waiting in the wings. We don’t need to add anyone.

I see knees are fully jerked after watching Chelsea in the FA cup. He’s talented, but by no means is he anything close to the level we need right now.

His 2 assists came from right wing.Guess you did not see the match.
No i didn't saw the match (just the highlights)....CHO has played on the right wing because Hazard came on.....he has started the match on the left wing.

But i can say that i have watched around 15-20 games of him and his best position is easily on the left wing......best example Martial can play on the right wing too but his best position is a left winger......to buy CHO and then to play him on the right wing will end in tears.

Brais Mendez is a good option. Very good combination of youth, technique, end product and tries to help win the ball when his team doesnt have it. He's also 6'2 although that'll be of less interest now we got rid of Mourinho.

21 years old and having his 2nd season in La Liga with Celta with 4 goals and 5 assists from 12 starts and 2 sub appearances. Also scored coming off the bench for his debut for the Spain national team. He's delivered more key passes than any of our players this season and would be behind only Pogba on attempted shots.

The one thing I would say about him is that he would be more of a continuation of what we already do on the right with Mata or Lingard playing inside and being an extra AM centrally.

He does the same thing for Celta coming inside to an AM position and leaving lots of space for the rightback. The difference would be that he's been more effective at it than most players this season, especially Mata or Lingard and at 21 he has time to go to the next level as well. Statistically Messi and Sterling are the only 2 players who have played a good amount of matches (6+ games) on the right and been better.

Might be fairly expensive to get him before Atletico and Real come calling but not as expensive as after they sign him up

It's been so long since we had a top class right wing that I've long since started to view conversations like this as entirely hypothetical and to be regarded with the kind of wry amusement as We Need to Buy the Next Messi.

Chong/Gomes might not be ready for a couple of years. Are you ok with another couple of years with Lingard on the right? I'm not.

I just can't see anyone getable/good enough. This why i dont like this current tendency to play 03 up front. There are not enough talents to allow all big clubs to have 03 top players in the attack. If it was 4-4-2 would be easy to line up two world class attacking players.

It's highly unlikely those two ever reach the level of Sanchez or Lingard, who aren't exactly amazing on the right either

He's playing on the left or as a striker. He's right-footed. He likes to come inside and shoot. That would be a lot harder for him if he played on the right. Bit like Martial/Rashford really.

Diego Lainez?

He was really impressive in the two youth tournaments I saw him in, that being the u17 World Cup and the u21 Toulon tournament. Very technical and aggressive, sort of in the Hazard and Messi mold. 18 years old so he's in the same age group as Gomes. Rumored to be going to Ajax though.

This is why we end up stalling as a club, thinking what we've got is good enough or waiting for talents that might not even make it, thus we end up falling further behind.

Chong is at least a year or so away from being ready, same probably for Gomes. Sanchez, jury is still out.

We lack options badly, it's gone on far too long.

Well, over the years we have had right footers playing on the right and it worked out pretty well for them, namely Nani, Ronaldo played on the right often with Fergie. In other clubs there are many versatile wingers who can play both sides mainly mane, sterling, sane, may be Salah too, marco resus at dortmund was one as well who could play on the right as well on the left.

It's all about fluidity on the pitch in the final third I belive which was not allowed under lvg and Mourinho. Is he not good enough to play there and is a limited one sided player?

Did a bit of research and found that Arsenal were interested in signing him 3 years ago, but he was unable to secure a work permit and ended up joining Villarreal instead.

Another one that Wenger 'almost' signed...

He'll have work permit issues I guess though.
Been capped by Nigeria National team now so that might help his case for a work permit. Even still at 19 If he is considered talented enough we could buy and loan back to Villarreal for another season.

Apparently Barcelona would be willing to sell Malcolm (21).

How’s Inaki Williams doing at the moment? Haven’t watched him much lately, but I always thought he had something. Rapid, and has a goal in him too.
