Some of the comments in this thread were shambolic . Funny how much has changed in just a month

If spurs want 300m for kane,Pogba's at least worth 250m

I’d sell him for 90m now in a heartbeat. His value is only going down.

If we wait until summer, he’s most likely to fetch a bit more, maybe 120m.
Ive read this a few times and still dont get it. You would have sold him for less in a heartbeat even though you thought he would fetch more in the summer?

He’s priceless.

No point selling when you’d be replacing with a vastly inferior player.

I guess us fans are emotive. I was also reading the thread in the TF forum earlier titled ‘Potential Pogba replacements’ (or something like that). Lot of people seemed to think we’d move on quite easily.

There is no player that can replace Pogba. Which makes us very fortunate to have him. Other teams have ‘midfielders’. We have a Pogba.

Absurd to entertain thoughts of selling him. If he has to go we should demand a WR fee as I don't see any reason to be willing to sell.

That's a slightly over the top. We have had better CMs than Pogba in the past. Also it's disrespectful to how well the likes of Herrera have been playing to claim Pogba is our midfield.

But yeah no chance we should sell him. He is one of the best midfielders in the game.

Wouldnt even get us a 27 year old CB

How is his value only going down when you just said you think we could get more for him in the summer? On current form he's double the 90.

Take it you don't like Kane much :lol:

Bet you'd swap him for Lukaku instantly though right?
Nah, I quite like him, just find his slurry speech annoying, that is in addition to the ridiculous overrating. Rashford is as much a talent as Kane, Pogba is just a notch above both, which anyone with two eyes and lack of ABU can see.

If Pogba transfers from us and goes to Barca\RM, then you will see everyone that criticise him doing an 180 immediately and have him as the best midfielder in the world instantly.

Apart from Scholes who is one of the all time best, who else we have had in the PL era who's better than Pogba? And why is it disrespectful to Herrera to say Pogba is out best player?

You said other teams have a midfield we have Pogba which literally implies that it's all about Pogba and nobody else.

Roy Keane? Most would would say Robson before that. I think Pogba is great but let's calm down a tad. He's not playing for Spurs. He's an at elite club. Doing really well at the moment but he hasn't lived up to expectations thus far let alone touch our all time greats.

Pogba is a better player than Kane. This is not even a debate. Pogba is world class, Kane isn't.
It isn't a debate only because you seemingly don't have an argument to back up your aimless claims.

I'd possibly take Pogba over Kane but it is a debate and Kane has our performed Pogba in their time together in the premier League. He just hasn't been lucky enough to play for Juventus or France.

I think what the guy who said that meant is that Pogba is an unique kind of midfielder, a level above any other midfield like Messi is above any other player.

Pogba is twice the player Roy Keane was. Robson, I didn't watch him play to have a fair personal view of him, how many years he played in the PL format?

I think both Pogba and Kane have similar value in the market and to their team and are unquestionable star players. They would both start at any club in world football, the debate is pointless who is worth 10m more or less.

Pogba shouldnt be sold, give him a new contract and tell him to ditch his fat agent if possible.

 Okay, twice the player Keane was. Class above like Messi. You clearly are just a huge fan of Pogba's and have no objectivity in this regard. Let's leave it at this.

It'd be difficult to compare them as they don't play in same position. Going by pure talent and how they've been decisive for the teams they played in, Pogba is the best player.

Completely agree re Pogba. I think if you play Pogba in the position that gets the best out of his qualities there aren't many better midfielders in world football. Be madness to sell him now that we have a manager that plays him in the position where he can damage the opposition like he has been these last 6 matches

It's difficult but you already comapared them. Pure talent? Sure, Pogba has him beat. Decisiveness? Pogba has often been dropped while Kane I think scored more goals than anybody in 2017?

Two excellent players and I wouldn't trade Pogba out of personal preference but your view appears heavily biased.

Pogba and Kane play completely different positions so bit hard to debate who is a better player - it's like comparing De Gea and Ramos for the sake of argument.

But come on, Kane not world class? I don't see many better no. 9's out there at the moment and would snap him up if we could.

Keane was the best midfielder of the premier league era. Scholes is then battling with Vieira for second spot.

Pogba does have more pure talent, but how good a player is involves a lot more than only pure talent.

People thought the same about Keane,Scholes, Beckham ,Giggs, any "key" player.

Fact is, all players can be replaced. Its all about how you plan the transition . Will be disastrous to sell him now or summer - i give that.

Hypothetically, what would happen if we were to make Pogba available in a straight swap deal with some of our Premier League rivals. Some example scenarios:

- Pogba for Lucas Torreira (Arsenal)

- Pogba for Kevin de Bruyne (Man City)

- Pogba for Jorginho (Chelsea)

- Pogba for N'Golo Kante (Chelsea)

- Pogba for Christian Eriksen (Spurs)

- Pogba for Dele Alli (Spurs)

I don't think any of those offers would be taken, and most would probably be met with incredulous laughter. Honestly, I don't even think Liverpool would entertain a swap for Jordan Henderson.

We're likely to make a loss on Paul Pogba when we sell him - his value to a Premier League team is less than any of the players I listed above. Our best chance of a decent fee is for a southern European team to come in for him, and that would also be the best outcome for Paul Pogba himself. If we can get £50 million, that would be reasonable.
Again, absolutely batshit.

Watched him plenty of time. Great player and leader, but Pogba is simply better player than him.
Great leader Keane, good tackler, decent passer, but that's kind of it. He doesn't posses even a quarter of Paul's technical abilities.

Dunno why I feel that most people overrate Keane just because he was a leader.

Viera and Scholes were better player. But I don't want this debate again, everyone with his opinion.

As a leader,Keane has no peer in Utd's history. Alongside Pogba now we'd have the best midfield in the PL

Truly embarrassing stuff coming from supposed 'fans' of the club

The likes of Henderson,Jorginho,Lucas fecking Torreria and Delle Alli even being mentioned in the same sentence...I think that's enough internet for me today :houllier:

Jose had really managed to turn a decent portion of the fanbase into diet Graeme Souness's

In the current market? 300 million, if you consider inflated prices, quality and marketing potential.

Only if you watched Pogba under Mourinho. If you watched him at Juve and in his NT you'd have a different opinion.
