Anyone know anything about him? Thinking If we were to sign anyone out of the Dutch league it would be someone like Lozano or De Ligt.
Very sensible approach from the club (for once).

I've said it before but we should be looking at Nicolas Pepe for the right wing. Maybe Chiesa too.

I've seen him play live this season but maybe only 4 or 5 times. He's a winger who can play on either sides. He's having his best season yet this year with 9 goals and 9 assists in 18 games. He's just that typical winger, likes to take people on, dribble, fast. Reminds me a little of Memphis and we all know how that one turned out. I think out of the games I watched he played one on the RW and the others on the left. I can't really say which one is his better side from such little observing but I liked what I saw. Wether he would ever make it in England is up for debate but the lad is 21 and depending on how much PSV wants I'd say this would definitely be a solid alternative if we can't get Sancho.

I dont think shifting Fellaini now is a good Idea from the football point of view, we all witnessed Peirera shitting his pants against fecking Burnley.

Amazing how Ole has been here a month or so and manages to clean out the deadwood and do what 3 other managers before him couldn't see in 3 years.

It's deadline date!

Is nobody here excited to follow the late signings tonight for a possible MU transfer ?

@KirkDuyt can you tell us anything about Bergwijn, is he potentially good enough for the PL?
He has the potential to go quite far, but he is not consistent enough yet. He's a great dribbler, who can take someone on, but has enough awareness to picj out another player when the situation calls for it. He also has a good shot and is an above average finisher.

If he can mature and raise his consistency he can be a good player in a top league. But United level? Definitely not yet, but he has the potential to play a role for a club like United. Not the star role, but a respectable one.

After some extremely shady tactics by the defence solicitors, dragging up the complainants sexual past, not to mention the friends and family crowd funded and offered 50k for any information to help him out.

He’s a prick, his statement after read:

“...I wish to make it clear that I wholeheartedly apologise to anyone who might have been affected by the events of the night in question.”

He can fecking bore off.
He might be cnut, I agree with you there, doesn't change the fact he served his sentence. This might be a subject for another thread, but you can't sentence someone, have that person do the time, and when he comes out suddenly say he can't go back to his job.

It's unfortunate for all that his job is high profile (arguable that his high profile job got him sent down in the first place).

Besides moving to Sunderland is punishment too.

Thanks for the information, to be honest the role you've mentioned sounds like the one we expect Lingard to be filling. Might have to watch a few PSV games in the coming weeks.

One player is leaving!

What about:

Go now... (too late, but should have gone)
Jones
Valencia
Darmian
Rojo
Mata
Perriera (if can get a good fee, otherwise recontract and sell in summer)

Go summer...
Young (maybe, could still be a good backup for experience and Leadership)
Lukaku (can find more suitable options to reinvest into)
McTominay
Sanchez (even if goes on a free it would be worth reinvesting the salary)

Go next Jan...
Fred (if he can't step up by then)

We are paying too much for all this dead wood/ end of useful life/ not the right fit. It's a lot to fix.

Strong words and you are entitled to your opinion. But, I think, based on what I have read of the Court reports and my experience in these things, you are way off accurate.

You can't replace 11 players in 1 year. Start with Rojo, Darmian, Pereira and Valencia, who offer nothing. Add Fellaini and that's a lot of wages and spots in the squad. 5 additions in 1 year should be possible.

Very good. Deadwood FC being cleared out one by one. Rojo, Jones, Young, Mata and Lukaku next please.
Rojo will leave most likely. Don't think there's much chance of Lukaku leaving. Young will most probably sign an extension and I guess one of Jones/Bailly will stay and seeing as how Ole has preferred Jones over Bailly it could be the latter who's sold. Mata is probably the most intriguing one. You could make decent cases for him both leaving or staying so will be interesting to see how that one goes.

Mata should stay if he’s played as 10 but he won’t be so it’s pointless him playing on the right. We would be much better off with a proper right winger

That just isn't ever going to happen. Replacing that many players at once isn't realistic, and I don't think any club ever operates in that sort of way. Just getting rid of the obvious ones that have been hanging around for years too long will be positive. We still need some squad players incase of injuries, also for team morale so many players leaving at once would probably be damaging too.

I think he could rotate with Pogba. We lack a player that can play as a #10 whenever Pogba is absent or needs rest.

I forgot Darmian too. Young is apparently holding out for 2 years in which case bye bye. Lukaku wont be content with the bench and i can see him wanting out regardless. Mata doesnt fit the style. Jones over Eric because he had more time to prove himself and didn't. I stilll think Bailly will benefit from new CB. All of the above are surplus to requirements but it's difficult to say if they can all go at once.

Darmian and Valencia are goners for sure. I think Young will ultimately sign a year extension. Lukaku cost us 75 million quid and I don't think the club will be willing to take a big loss on such an investment, seeing as how he hasn't exactly been a major flop or anything like that, and I don't see anyone offering us as much money as we would demand for Lukaku (at least 65-70 million). Despite the hate Jones gets, I've seen nothing from Bailly to suggest he is any better. Another factor is that Jones is out of contract whilst we could sell Bailly and make at least 20-25 million (probably more), so more chances that he goes imo.

Well over due (the clear out). I not too fussed if Young and Mata stay but Phil Jones is out of contract as well is he not? God I hope he joins the outgoing party
I see Young as 3rd choices for right and left back next season. Something like Darmian this season.
Rojo is first to leave from Cb's so if we buy only one cb, Jones to stay as 5th choice.

Ramsey is leaving on a free at the end of the season and they tried to loan Ozil to PSG this window but Ozil said nah. As for Mkhi, he's Mkhi.
So a preemptive transfer strike before the summer? I just thought with their CB and RB problems they'd be looking for loans there first and foremost.

The amusing thing about Sky Sports making a big deal out of every rumour (and probably making a few up themselves) on deadline day to hype up the transfer window is that it will all be overshadowed by a United player signing a new contract.
