Super news! Really needs to step up now and establish himself as one of the best winger in the world because he has the potential to.

What a top decision. Thanks board for finally ridding utd of the carbunkle that was JM. If he was still here, Pogba, Martial and DdG would also be gone. I hope they realise the fans want OGS as our leader, regardless of the off days we will have.

"Tony Martial came from France etc etc etc...

The banter era is over.
I won't be sure about that. Back when I was in my teens, I would go to the supporters club every weekend to talk about United. The people there varied in age and some supported United before the Munich crash. Anyway, sometimes the argument would shift about the past. They would speak about how Busby created the United way, the mistake United made in sacking the Doc, about Atkinson bringing to United great football but was clearly out of depth etc. These were hard core supporters whom despite being working class living in a poor country, would end saving for a year or sometimes more just to have the opportunity to watch United play live.

However the mood changed the moment someone mentioned Sexton. They hated the guy and his defensive football. I never understood why, since from what I heard United were pretty meah in the period between Sir Matt Busby and Sir Alex. So what could this guy possibly do to attract such hostility by people who absolutely loved the club? Well I started to understand them the moment Moyes, LVG and Mou can to OT. Its one thing not winning anything and its another playing a coward like football that is absolutely torture to watch.

Fellaini is the epitome of a dark period for United, a player who was used as a stick not only against us fans but against creative players like Pogba and Martial. Its not his fault but that's how things are. So I doubt the banter surrounding him will end soon.

The most interesting thing about the press bits, apart from the fact that a young exciting player was about to leave and now wants to stay while pointing at the manager, is what Ole says about him - he’s technically gifted, yes, we all agreed, but also that he has a very good football brain. That took me a bit by surprise.

Now that is some welcome news indeed. Now the board need to give DDG what he wants to get him on a new contract. Oh and a new CB would be most welcome too.
Reading reports that Koulibaly is seriously considering a move to OT, if that helps. I know I'd appreciate him too.

That wasn't surprising for me. Martial's playmaking and creativity are some of his biggest strengths. Aftet reading what Ole said, I was like, after two plus years we finally have a manage that can see clearly :D

I have certainly many times been struck by the lack of initiative in Martials movement without the ball, and his lack of using viable options like overlaps (when they have appeared) and his slowing play down. So I think his football brain in that case must be primed for something other than what I see.

Can we now sign D De Gea on a new contract? One and a half hours left on the transfer window, what news Fellaini and has any one offered us a small fortune or a bag of pick and mix for Jones?

Why’s that then, does he still owe you that tenner?;)
I'm delighted we've locked him up. Just want to know because with Sanchez's wages and rumoured new deals for De Gea and Rashford in the pipeline, it may impact our ability to bring in new signings in the summer.

Come the summer and hopefully there will be some deadwood leaving, Young Valencia Jones Fellini and a few others should free up the wages. I wouldn’t worry about wages and signin*s too much.

De Gea next, then Herrera.

Then the sad-ish farewells to Valencia, Pereira and Jones.

I doubt Jones will go, I'll be supprised if doesn't get another contract, even if it is just asset protection.

De Gea/Herrera/Pogba/Rashford..next I hope.
Didnt realize both Rashford and Matic expire next year. Pogba's in 2021 so there's time for him.
This summer (pretty sure the option to extend is there for all of them):
  • Young
  • Valencia
  • Mata
  • Darmian
  • De gea
  • Pereira
  • Jones
  • Herrera
Next summer:
  • Grant
  • Fellaini
  • Matic
  • Rashford
  • Bailly
