The House With A Clock In Its Walls
A young orphan named Lewis Barnavelt aids his magical uncle in locating a clock with the power to bring about the end of the world. Was intrigued to see how Eli Roth would tackle a children's horror. Was pretty boring. The story and characters were very plain and the acting was abysmal. Had some good moments but was a very boring movie, even for kids. It did look nice though

Bumblebee
On the run in the year of 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie, on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. The best Transformer film since the first one, but that's not saying too much. There were some genuinely laugh out loud moments, the action was fun without being too hectic and the main human character wasn't as one dimensional as you'd expect with this franchise. Having said that, the action scenes were few and far between, and at the end of the day, a film like this is mainly about the popcorn action

Dick Cheney, an unassuming bureaucratic Washington insider, who quietly wielded immense power as Vice President to
George W. Bush, reshaping the country and the globe in ways that we still feel today. Christian Bale and Amy Adams were phenomenal in this and it lets people with little interest/knowledge of politics like myself understand some of what went on in that world during a span of years. This was like The Big Short, but not as good. Maybe Americans would find it more interesting
