I don't think anyone is denying him of any credit. I'm just saying 7 excellent months at Ajax isn't reason to sign him, particularly given we've already seen what he can do in the premier League and it wasn't of the level we should be striving for.
Meh, I always thought he was decent to be honest.

In the league:

14/15 - 4 goals, 8 assists in 31 games
15/16 - 8 goals, 13 assists in 34 games
16/17 - 3 goals, 6 assists in 33 games
17/18 - 6 goals, 3 assists in 33 games.

I agree we shouldn’t sign him, the guys 30 but he wasn’t terrible in the league, I reckon having lower quality players around him hindered him the most rather than him being an inherently poor player in the league.

Fully expecting Ajax to mess this up somehow and Madrid to get their usual dodgy decision in the CL.

So far so good for Spurs. The logic of the first game dictates we defend in this game, and we've done that well 1st half.

Lloris has been very good. I'd be surprised if Dortmund don't score at least 1 2nd half, but 3 without reply is a big ask for them.
You've actually not defended that well at all really. You've had some incredible individual defensive performances and moments though.

Tadic was always too good for Southampton. De Jong is want we need in our midfield.

He's not. But he has had a very bad season.
He’s had literally one good full season in his career.

Good player. Great on his day but not consistent and too injury prone.

From what I've seen Madrid have had a number of chances, so think they will need another

We Ajax cannot defend. We will still play like we always do. It might kill us. It might give a greater victory.

I am already happy we dont get spanked in a "boys vs men" match. Going through would be awesome.

It’s funny. When it’s a team ‘we’ want to win - Suddenly spurs are defending valiantly and are excellent etc.

Btsport pundit allocation seems to be 3 former spurs players out of 4. God I hate the way we portray ourselves. I know English teams malarkey but come on. Be fair.

No. They’re parking the bus plain and simple.

I still predict a Dortmund win.

Never said he was terrible. Decent player no doubt, but not the level we should be aiming for.

You're playing much better football than Madrid. Just need to take the chances that will obviously come in the second half.

I’ve said what I said mate.
Yes … and it's rubbish. Spurs don't need to attack and they'd be foolish to put much effort into doing so unless and until Dortmund score 2 goals.

Dortmund deserved a goal. Think 3 in one half is a bit too much. Spurs were very jammy to get 3 so quickly in the half of the previous leg, but there you are.

PSV basically have the perfect formula for beating Dutch sides.
Basically this. Ajax is gathering a number of points which would normally win it, but PSV is just absurdly good at winning the points in the Eredivisie so far. Fair game to them. They understand how to win those games and Ajax' weakness throughout the season, which is that youngsters are less consistent.

So... the 2nd half. I still can't believe it, 0-2. Real should still have the quality to make break our hearts, but even if they do, the boys already made us proud.

They’re not even defending well though. For the most part they’re just there on the pitch. If it was a resolute defending performance I would say fair play, but Dortmund are cutting through time and time again and Lloris is making all these last ditch saves. That’s what I mean by Spurs offering nothing to the match. Neither in offense nor defense.

Ajax just exposes what a moaning idiot Mourinho is, who makes everything about money. They have 1 tenth of Madrids income but play full of ideas and energy. If Jose managed them, they would just be like "Oh Madrid has too much money and quality, lets defend super deep and commit 55 fouls and lose anyway"

He's never posted numbers like this in his entire career. Are you saying this 6 month spell is the real Dusan Tadic and the rest of his career is just a 10 year anomaly?

Or is it perhaps that he's just in an absolutely incredible moment? Helped by the fact his confidence is through the roof because he's playing for comfortably the best team in an absolutely awful league?
How did you come by that conclusion is beyond me, that's some assumption game you got going there buddy, quite vivid. I've made it pretty clear that it's down to the difference in talent he's playing with…

This is the first time he's been part of a team bursting with talent, hence why he is performing on this level right now.

We've undoubtedly been poor, but that is nothing new right now, this is just poor with some added cowardice.

Ajax are pretty bad defensively, Feyenoord put 6 past them a few weeks ago. They can’t just sit back and hope to make it.
