Yeah he's decent, like another poster said he's benefiting from your system.Decent at best? I guess by that logic none of our attackers and wingers are even decent

My system? You think I'm Klopp?Yeah he's decent, like another poster said he's benefiting from your system.
He caught you red-handed, Jurgen. My system? You think I'm Klopp?
You know what i meant. My system? You think I'm Klopp?
Cafe thought he wasn't good enough for united? Really? He was exactly what we needed.i always laugh at clowns who claimed he was 'not good enough' for United
Yes. But when has that ever stopped the cafe?Cafe thought he wasn't good enough for united? Really? He was exactly what we needed.
I remember there being outrage that we were linked with Mane after it became apparent that we weren't signing Pedro.C’mon Real/PSG/Bayern/anyone... do the right thing!
Ps. Fairly certain that most caf members rated Mane at Southampton and thought we were daft not to go for him
Manes technique is excellent and he's a top dribbler. Nothing like mullerHe's the Thomas Muller of Liverpool, looks like he has a crap touch most of the time but somehow still manages to score goals and contribute a good amount offensively. I haven't rated him very highly before but no doubt he's been a great player this season for them.
I disagree with that, he's dribbling is very inconsistent and many times I've seen him miss a chance because of poor technique. If you are trying to say Muller's technique is poor, while Mane's is excellent, then I can point to a number of great goals he's scored where he's shown off his technique (2010 vs Roma, 2014 vs USA). I think Mane's best strength, like Muller, is to be in the right place in the right time to create chances offensively. He's intelligent in how to move into space and execute.Manes technique is excellent and he's a top dribbler. Nothing like muller

I am saying they are stylistically nothing alike.I disagree with that, he's dribbling is very inconsistent and many times I've seen him miss a chance because of poor technique. Damn, I voted Nay.here it is
https://www.redcafe.net/threads/sadio-mané.408248/
even saw some comparisons with montero and bolasie
I would never say Suarez is even close to Muller, Suarez is one of the most technically accomplished players of this decade.I am saying they are stylistically nothing alike.
Mane's strong suit is his individual ability. He's the most likely to pull a rabbit out of a hat from nowhere when the team isn't playing well, because of his dribbling.
He's mercurial sure, and can go through periods where his touch is off but there aren't many wingers out there with comparable ball control.
Next you'll be saying Suarez is like muller too, because he has an inconsistent touch.
Mane is far more like Suarez in style than he is muller.I would never say Suarez is even close to Muller, Suarez is one of the most technically accomplished players of this decade.
Nothing like Suarez though.Mane is far more like Suarez in style than he is muller.
Well, as I said earlier, we can agree to disagree on this. I've always felt Mane to be one of the most frustrating players to watch in the Liverpool team because of how he can move from extremely poor to amazing in quick time. An example being the goal he scored lately, his first touch was absolutely horrendous but then had the presence of mind to backheel the ball inMane is far more like Suarez in style than he is muller.
Suarez was obviously a much better player and had more to his game as well.Nothing like Suarez though. One needs to compare their assist stats to see it, in case of being blind and not able to see how much better Suarez was.
Mane has 1-2 assists all season.
Ok, Mane has been in great goal-scoring form recently and deserves praise.Suarez was obviously a much better player and had more to his game as well.
In terms of style, Mane has more similarities to Suarez than he does muller, in the sense that he's an excellent dribbler who goes through periods of having an erratic touch, but whose individual ability is nonetheless one of his strongest assets.
I rate Mane and I wanted us to sign him, but Eto'o was different class. If played up top he could be a better dribbling version of Eto'o.
Not saying he wasn't, just saying the type of player Mane could be if used differently.I rate Mane and I wanted us to sign him, but Eto'o was different class.
Would you play him as a lone striker, or a second striker then? Not saying it wouldn't work, I'm very fond of the player but I'm not sure I see the comparison completely. If played up top he could be a better dribbling version of Eto'o.
As a striker, a 9. We've seen Klopp experiment with Salah there I think it would work better with Mane instead. He's better with his back to goal, he's as explosive and pretty good in terms of creating space for a shot.Would you play him as a lone striker, or a second striker then? Yeah, I can see that. Only problem is he can be quite erratic when he is out of form which might count against him in that position. But I agree he would be a better option to Salah in that position. As a striker, a 9. We've seen Klopp experiment with Salah there I think it would work better with Mane instead. Eto'o had a similar shape and athletic prowess. Fantastic movement and great finishing. I mean, in that system they run they have an attacking mid basically playing as a false 9. It's far from what you'd think of conventionally.
