So funny how United just come in out of nowhere as if you simply overslept and as if there was no 6th place before United.Tweet

I can see Liverpool dropping points vs spurs, Chelsea and wolves. City at United and Palace. City win the league by 3 points.Remaining league fixtures:
With City's FA Cup involvement, Liverpool get the chance to go top of the table next weekend.
Fingers crossed!Fernandinho, De Bruyne, Mendy (who) all back in training alongside Laporte now. We were very lucky that they all missed ‘easier’ games. Hopefully there are no more injuries in the coming weeks!
Well...well we've got Joe Gomez back in training!Fernandinho, De Bruyne, Mendy (who) all back in training alongside Laporte now. We were very lucky that they all missed ‘easier’ games. Hopefully there are no more injuries in the coming weeks!
Be amazed if that happens. We'll both drop points, I'm convinced of that. Probably only a few each but there's some tricky games left, especially for City.It seems possible that both City and Pool will win all their remaining fixtures, which would put them on #2 and #3 of highest points. Some title race, that
Funny as it sounds, I think Southampton away is probably the best chance of Liverpool dropping points from here on in. Chelsea at Anfield, can't see them doing much to stop them. Wolves is the other one, but if it comes down to the last game of the season with Liverpool needing to beat Wolves at home, I'd be shocked if they didn't. That Spurs game was the key one. Last minute own goal after a shit performance to win it. Going to be tough for City, though it'll come down to the Manchester derby.Be amazed if that happens. We'll both drop points, I'm convinced of that. Probably only a few each but there's some tricky games left, especially for City.
Nah it’s written in the stars. Liverpool player to slip over and gift us the vital goal.Chelsea at Anfield, can't see them doing much to stop them.
And if this happened, you'd still have some saying the loser "bottled it"It seems possible that both City and Pool will win all their remaining fixtures, which would put them on #2 and #3 of highest points. Some title race, that
Think he's right about that."We have the feeling that if we drop points we will not be champions," Guardiola said.
"I don't know what condition we are going to arrive in (against Brighton) but against Cardiff we should have scored more goals definitely, that is a little bit of regret we have."
you could be right, including previous games we'd be on a 14 win streak to the end of the season in the PL, you'd be on 9, I think it's unsustainable for both, we'll drop at least 2 points if not 4 or 5, think the same goes for you, the margins are that thin, I can't really call who will win it at this stage. I think whoever loses first may well lose it, and it'll not be a bottle job as some would love to claim.I think they win the title with 13 points out of the remaining 18. We'll likely drop points at Chelsea, and we've always got a crap game in us somewhere against weaker opposition. I think we'll end on 92/93 (4 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss/draw), so given their GD, they only need to win 4, draw 1, lose 1.
Just my prediction, anyway.
Aye. If we come second with 90-odd points we'll have amassed one of the highest points totals in the leagues history, so how that can be portrayed as a bottle job is beyond me. Same goes in reverse (should it happen).you could be right, including previous games we'd be on a 14 win streak to the end of the season in the PL, you'd be on 9, I think it's unsustainable for both, we'll drop at least 2 points if not 4 or 5, think the same goes for you, the margins are that thin, I can't really call who will win it at this stage. Yeah. We'll see in the next couple of years whether that's the new normal for the PL, or whether this title race will be historic for highest combined points between winner and runner up.Aye. You mean at Home against Chelsea, thats not an away gameI think they win the title with 13 points out of the remaining 18. Sorry, I meant to write against. You mean at Home against Chelsea, thats not an away game
I might agree with you if it was away
Nightmare race really. I still just want them both to go down, but they just both keep on getting the wins.
Jesus Christ... Liverpool winning the Premier League while we drop out of top 4, and Man City beating us in the Champions League final to lift their trophy.I'm honestly far from being a pessimist but I feel like the likeliest scenario to happen by the end of the season is pretty much the nightmare scenario. I think Liverpool will win the league as I feel like we'll get a draw at home to City while Liverpool will win out. Obviously City will more than likely win the FA cup but I also think City will win the Champions League, they're the strongest team IMO and nobody else is anywhere close to as convincing as they are. On top of that, while we do have a chance still, I think we'll just miss out on top 4 despite a strong finish to the season.
Ah come on, you don't really believe that surely?@ Newcastle - difficult but I think Benitez wouldn't want to deny us a title chance
I simply want toAh come on, you don't really believe that surely?
If Newcastle are safe by then, they won't play 10 men behind the ball, and go for it. This will play into Liverpool's hands. This will also cover up Benetiez cleverly letting Liverpool win.I simply want to
Nah, you're probably right tbh. If they don't have any relegation worries though and their players are already on holiday in their mind, I do believe that Benitez would like us to win. Not actively try to lose, but definitely wouldn't mind either.
Exactly how I'm feeling. Southampton may catch us by surprise (draw) which leaves us needing City to drop points in two games. Might happen with Spurs hitting their usual end of season final burst form and Utd. But less likely.I think they win the title with 13 points out of the remaining 18. We'll likely drop points at Chelsea, and we've always got a crap game in us somewhere against weaker opposition. I think we'll end on 92/93 (4 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss/draw), so given their GD, they only need to win 4, draw 1, lose 1.

The problem with Citys premier league fixture with Spurs is that it comes 4 days after the Champions league fixture between both sides. I'm presuming both Spurs and City will play their strongest 11 in the champions league fixture, which then gives City a big advantage in the league fixture with the chance to rotate more than Spurs. (Due to the lack of squad depth). Spurs form after CL fixtures has not been good.Exactly how I'm feeling. Southampton may catch us by surprise (draw) which leaves us needing City to drop points in two games. Might happen with Spurs hitting their usual end of season final burst form and Utd. But less likely.
I feel you've conceded majority of your goals in the second half of the season. At one point I thought you'd break the record Chelsea set in 04/05.City are becoming more efficient. Closing out games early and killing off teams. We are starting to leak goals. Unless this changes fast, City will win title before the last matchday.
coincided with Gomez's injuryI feel you've conceded majority of your goals in the second half of the season. At one point I thought you'd break the record Chelsea set in 04/05.
Yep, not to be underestimated. Matip has done okay, but that Gomez-Van Dijk partnership was sublime.coincided with Gomez's injury
