According to SSN.

Could be nothing in it but his agent claims he wants to win trophies, and would like to play abroad at some stage.

Seems like they all want in on the act! If we can get a better more skillful striker, I wouldn't be disappointed to see him go.

If we can let him go, get a good fee for it and replace him with a forward who can guarantee 20+ goals a season, whilst also being a better all-round fit to our style of football; sure.

That’s so much easier said than done with us, though.

They know we're there for the taking. Anyway, this is good. If you're not even quality but want to play this game then cya.

Oh no, Lukaku wants out. What will we do without our 2nd/3rd choice striker?

I would be happy to see the back of him if he wants to go abroad for good money. We're never going to be able to guarantee trophies with him as our striker.

He wont sit on the bench and play second fiddle to Rashford.

If he is not starting, he will look to move.

If Ole is going to be your manager for the forseeable future then it makes sense for him to leave. With the style of play which he wants you're better off starting Rashford up front with Martial and a new RW (Sancho?) as the trio. It would be nice to have Lukaku as a backup to those three but he wouldn't want that and is better than being a backup striker. He has the ability to be starting for a top club, his brief patches of form this season and his first season have shown that he can cut it at the highest level but I don't think United are the right fit.

Also, I doubt this is about him not wanting to be at United or that they're not going to win a trophy this season, as you definitely have the platform to win one next season. It's probably more about being a second choice to Rashford now in the way Ole wants to play.

Start scoring more goals and we may win some fecking trophies.

As if Manchester United are holding Romelu Lukaku back. The cheek of it.

I don't blame him, he just doesn't suit us and hasn't since he joined, although surely he has the self awareness to know how many piss easy chances he's failed to score this season? He's a good player but if he signs for another big club I think he'll run into the same issues he has here, if he joins a team that wins trophies it's fair to say he won't be the main reason for it. If we can get a good fee for him I'd have no issue selling.

Lukaku and 80m for Kane.
You are being sarcastic, surely. Spurs would not even entertain Lukaku for any player they have I don't think.

And it is not just about goals; his overall play, hold up, control, and awareness is just so substandard for a professional player at the highest level, that he is light-years behind the likes of Kane, who would easily sell for £200M to Real, Barca, and PSG.

The fact is, we will NEVER be a top club, competing on all levels with the likes of Lukaku as a striker, he needs 5 chances to score 1/2 goals, and at the top level, if those chances are not taken you get punished, as we have seen in the prem over our last couple of games.

Playing Lukaku as a first team striker, is like we have had a man sent off - 10 men.

Meh, honestly not bothered if any of our current lot want to leave and I include De Gea and Pogba in that. We need players that believe in Solskjær and the team moving forward. If people want to leave, now's the time to speak up because we could do with the money to reinvest this summer.

Wouldn't mind this happening to be honest. He's a useful squad player but he wants to start and I don't believe he should be.

As much as I like Rom, I don’t think he makes first XI in many title wining squads in Europe, nevermind in top 5 leagues.

Anybody wondering why we are where we are need look no further than half of our failing squad posturing and delaying and using media mouthpieces for their agendas one week before we play Barcelona.

Absolute shit houses rampant in squad

"Wants to win trophies"... Lukaku isnt good enough to be a key player as a striker at one of the top teams who win trophies. His best bet would be to go to Dortmund tbh, but they couldnt afford him or his wages currently. Bayern I guess would be a possibility. Juve would just be a squad option, not technical enough for La Liga nor do I see any of their bigger sides taking him? He's a useful squad member and it just brings more work this summer if he goes but realistically he wont stay as a squad player so it is what it is if he wants to leave.

The timing of all this shit. I guess the players don't think they have a chance against Barca. Focusing on coming seasons already .

This is just spin from his agent, making it seem like Lukaku is the one who wants to 'upgrade'. I'm fine with that as it may lead to a higher fee... tell PSG we're desperate to keep him and they'll buy the fecker for 100m. Job done.

I thought he was a top class talent at Everton his goal scoring record certainly was. For whatever reason he’s become worse at Utd he needs to move to the right club and get his head back on straight to progress.

Do you mean a top club in the sense of us and AC Milan, or one that's actively competing for the biggest trophies which, since he's been here, we haven't done? Because I personally don't think he's good enough to be a starter for a team competing for said trophies. Yeah, we finished 2nd last year, but we never really looked like competing with City for the trophy.

I can't see him playing for City, Liverpool, Juventus, Barcelona, Real Madrid, etc, personally. Maybe Atletico but his work rate is pretty poor so I don't think he'd fit a Simeone team.

In all seriousness I can't see any upward career path from us for Lukaku. Who would challenge for trophies and have him as first choice striker? A strong forward who can get goals in the right setup but not nearly good enough for the very top. Get what we can and reinvest in hungry dynamic front players.
