People liked to call Mourinho a dinosaur, Keane is worse. He can obvious say what he wants as a pundit but there's a reason why he's failed as a coach because he just doesn't like in the real world and you just cannot say and act like he does with modern players

I could see Neville even cringe as some of the shit he was saying tonight

I think hes a great pundit, speaks his mind and doesnt hold back. No cryptic comments like Gary Nev,. If he thinks a players shite he says just that. Good to hear him back ole.

Neville feels like he has to defend the team after interviewing Ole.
To say this is as good as Utd can be is ridiculous.
Don't you understand? This is the level of United today. Next season United can be better, but they can't magically be superior to City with this squad just because they're United.

He talks bollocks and has a history of it. The way he criticised Queiroz, Ronaldo and Fletcher was a disgrace in the past. It was refreshing to see all three have the last laugh.
What are you on about? The last laugh? Fletcher absolutely loves Keane and credits him massively for his development as a player.

Ronaldo and Keane also got on really well by all accounts. Keane loved his work ethic and there seems to be major respect between the 2.

When Keane criticised players in the United squad it wasn't a personal assault. It was when he saw standards or effort level dropping. It was all designed to keep the standards high, a role Fergie was happy for him to carry out until they fell out and he used it as an excuse to kick him out.

Queiroz, not sure what "last laugh" he got but on that one you're right. Keane couldn't stand him.

Classy from him at the end to back Ole. Other people might have suggested they'd be interested in the job if the same thing was put to them. I seem to recall Harry Redknapp doing that several times while other managers where in the jobs.

Don’t understand the animosity towards him here.

This isn’t ‘phoning it in’.

So much truth, and it’s surprising to see the passion he still has for the club.

To be honest, he just sounds like he’s still our captain. Why shouldn’t he say exactly where Pogba is falling short?

As he says - he’s worried about United. Thank God he’s saying where we’re going wrong.

I’d have him back at the club in a shot - I’d far rather have him doing anything at the club than Carrick or Butt.

No one else can articulate what it should mean to play for United as well as he can, and that’s exactly what is lacking in our squad. Just bring him back for a week to let him get their head out of their arses.

Keane referred to Queiroz as Ronaldo's dad and criticised Fletcher and the young players in a MUTV which was deemed as vicious by one journalist. He was a fantastic player but an absolute cnut of a human being.

And to the person saying Keane would have Pogba's blood all over the dressing room... A 6ft4 Pogba would trample over a 5ft 9inch midget like Keane.

No he didn’t. Keane told more sense in one night about United than Neville has managed in years of waffling on Sky.

And why are you talking about his coaching? He was on as a pundit tonight so judge him on that, as the thread title suggests.

Endless lols at you.

You haven’t a clue what he’s like as a human being, let alone if he’s an ‘absolute cnut of one’. How would you know?

He does not say anything that the average fan would not. We should expect Football pundits to be able to break down the match in a way the average fan could not. Keane just spouts cliches.

Not sure pogba is 6.4 but if you think strength and aggression is measured merely on height you obviously haven't watched much football

How do you mistake someone actually truthfully telling it how it is about United with ‘spouting cliches’? Weird.

What they both have in common is a win at all costs attitide. That something that separates winners and losers, year on year. Thats rare and one of the things thats lacking in our team atm.

Thought he was bang on tonight. He didn't sugar coat it and called out the reasons why we ain't good enough. Don't know why others are having a go at him, it's important that he highlights the lack of guts in some players and the incompetence of the board if there is to be a change going forward.

Oh what are you his Dad? I'll judge him on what I want and when you're a shit coach it makes what you say as a pundit questionable at the very least

What has Keane ever said as a pundit that is not some variation of "they need to want it more"?
Loads of things. But it shouldn’t come as a great surprise, even to you, that someone with ferocious desire to beat the opposition is going to call it when it’s lacking in current United players.

So, one of your biggest issues with Keane is what some random poster on Red Cafe wrote about him?! Just have a little think about that one!

The MUTV interview was the club's excuse to get rid of him after he fell out with Fergie and Queiroz. If Fletcher is still a major fan of his then I don't know why everyone else seems to still be so offended by it - especially since nobody has even heard it!

As for calling Queiroz Ronaldo's dad? Wow, that's unforgivable . . . . .

In fairness, I believe he and Souness were the only pundits who, after the England vs Croatia game last summer, identified that England didn't have a midfielder who could dictate the pace of the game. I remember that as the other pundits just spoke a load of nonsense and missed this, the most obvious point of the game.

Absolute rubbish. He’s not a shit coach and you should be judging him on the fact he won umpteen titles for United and knows what he’s talking about.

Keane and Viera are from the same era. Pogba is in his physical prime Keane is 47 at this point in his life it would not work out well for Keane.
They wouldn't even come to blows. He ruled the dressing room without violence for a decade FFS.

I don't have a issue with anyone. I just find Keane to be a cnut, whilst others have their heads buried in his backside.

Yeah it wouldn't come to blows I just arguing against the idea that our players will be quaking in their boots if Keane walks into the dressing room.

Context is everything. Keane is coming from a completely different set of rules to many that are employed in modern management. It’s a post-modern job now, sadly, and you have to give Guardiola, Klopp, Pochettino et al kudos for how they motivate players in this modern era of massive wages and instant
stardom.

Keane only gets invited on when there is a negative sub-plot bubbling up. Makes great TV but I'm surprised he's not figured out himself he's being used to create narratives.
