Fred, Lingard and Smalling not even in the 18, the lumberer back in midfield and Herrera randomy thrown back in, I thought Mata might start but Lukaku? Ugh, it feels like Ole is just throwing shit at the wall and hoping something sticks with all of this constant changing. Not even having Greenwood on the bench makes no sense.
Lets be honest we have nothing different on the bench either

Is Ole just throwing darts at a pic of the squad? Seems to be a lot of changes each game atm.

Yeah not sure what the plan is and what he is doing. Not sure why Mctominay has been dropped after doing well against Barcelona and Wolves. Then Matic is terrible against Everton and still back in the side today.

Herrera has not played for weeks, so it is a risk. Bailly :nervous:
If Herrera has just been omitted recently due to the PSG stuff then ok, but if he has been injured then just throwing him in is a needless risk and I don't get the Bailly thing, I'd rather play Darmian as a CB if Smalling is injured.

Lets be honest we have nothing different on the bench either
Well McTominay can at least move which makes him a step up from Matic, and then Darmian has more composure at the back than either Young or Bailly. The Striker situation is all much of a muchness I agree but Sanchez has barely had a chance since returning where as Lukaku has been dogshit for weeks.

    United line up
De Gea, Young, Shaw, Bailly, Lindelof, Matic, Herrera, Pogba, Mata, Rashford, Lukaku
Subs: Romero, Darmian, Rojo, McTominay, Pereira, Martial, Sanchez.
    Young, Bailly, Matic, Mata, Lukaku.

That is a dreadful line up. Is Ole selecting the side by tombola?

I hate to moan at line ups and I pray to be proved wrong by the lads, but that team just doesn't instill me with confidence and I can't believe it is the one picked to trust our top four hopes on.

Can only assume Smalling and Lingard are injured and McTominay is not 100% to make it understandable, but still... It's definitely hope more than expectation for me.

    Come on lads!

Christ, it looks like Ole lost a bet to someone & had to put that starting lineup out.

Great chance to get the top 4 if we win by a couple of goals today. Our GD will move with in 4 of Chelsea and we can run up the score against the two relegation teams left.

However, we don't win these kind of games anymore. Think it'll be 1-0 to Chelsea thanks to Hazard.

Think it's weird seeing Bailly back in there but getting a bit tiring reading the hysterics to every line-up. We don't have any bloody stars in the squad bar Dave and perhaps Pogba. Most of the names people mention (why's X not playing instead?!) are just as shite as anyone else.

Yeah Darmian played last game and then got dropped even if he did alright. Now Bailly in after not having played for a long time.

BBC said pre lineup at Mct and Jones were both doubts so probably just injured midweek and not fit enough to start today.

Chelsea (4-3-3) Arrizabalaga; Azpilicueta, Rudiger, David Luiz, Alonso; Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic; Willian, Higuain, Hazard.
Substitutes: Caballero, Zappacosta, Christensen, Barkley, Loftus-Cheek, Pedro, Giroud.

Decent lineup, not sure about Bailly but the front line is good. Great to have Herrera back.

Probably could have dropped Rashford for Sanchez though.

We have been losing a lot of games recently because of poor play and poor mistakes from single players.

Fred has been center piece for more than one lost ball that ended up in the net, so he shouild be out of the lineup.

I just do not understand why he hasn't put the kids anywhere near the squad since the PSG win, Mata is just done and has been for a long time, and Lukaku is what he is, and badly out if form on top, so it was perfect, and would have got everyone up for the game.

Ole just seems to have lost his nerve a bit now he's got the job .

Are we going to give kids a chance or are kids an excuse not to spend too much?

They played 48 hours ago ffs.
They are young and fit and no one is expecting them to play. But off the bench in the last 20 minutes they could be more effective if we need a goal than anyone we now have on the bench

    Losing to Comeback Winning!
    Interesting lineup.
    - Smalling and Jones last min injured probably.
    - McBench again.. and Captain whY.
    - Ole prioritizing "exps" as usual more than youth.
+ De Gea on, and finally we get to see Bailly-Lindelof, tough game for their return.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't feel having any expectation for this game.
Might as well just try to enjoy it.

I’m not one to majorly react to line-ups, but this doesn’t fill me with confidence.

Also....why is he playing X, X needs a rest. Vs why is playing Y, Y has not been playing for a while.

No one in the lineup predictions can have been getting all 11 right! If any got it right, kudos to you.

When Mata plays well, he's usually one of our best players. Does no harm to remember that - aside from the fact most of our forward players are stinking the place up currently (so who gives a feck?).

Said this before, but you'd honestly think we had world-class players sitting on the bench with how people react to line-ups. The squad is naff.

The only thing I feel good about is that Shaw can do a good job and that Rashford will try to make some runs and try a lot. Also Mata if we get any free kicks could do some damage. Everything else I got big doubts and very low expectations about.
