What a lovely tweet to start the day

Solskjaer does not expect to make a significant number of signings this summer, though, and is aware that he will have to find a way to improve the players he already has.

“We’ve got to get it right on the pitch with the ones we have; it’s not just about signing players,” he said. “It’s about making sure that the ones here get the maximum out of their potential, because we do have so many good players here, and that’s my job, to work with them. At the moment, I’m responsible for the performances. I’m the one that should get that flak if there is some.”
Depressing! If it is true it shows the ambition of the club...we are becoming mid table.

Imagine the meltdown....

It’s a little concerning because he’s hinted before at overhauling the squad.

Stop taking these stories serious. Ole said with his own mouth we will be getting players. Tom is just trying to generate news.

Nowhere in those quotes does he say about signing or not signing a significant number of players.

This is the depressing reality we face unfortunately. Unless we're willing to spend close to £500m in one summer, we are not going to attract players from the likes of Sporting Lisbon if City, Madrid, Barcelona are all in for them as well. If you've got any footballing ambition you're not going to join a side that hasn't won a league in 6 years and has barely featured in the Champions League.

Issue is Ole said no such thing.

This club is pathetic, no ambition.

What that tweet says and what Ole said are completely different.

I made the same mistake, the quotes are made up. Read it first, Solskjær has said there will be players coming in.
Would it be hard to create a sort of filter that automatically checks if a tweet is posted by an account that's on the blacklist? Not sure if it's possible but it would help the forum immensely @Niall

Loads of people get fired up for nothing because of fake quotes like these.

Why is Ole being lambasted for things he’s never said?

I'm hoping we do struggle next year. The quicker the Glazers are gone the better. We are.going nowhere with Ed in charge and the parasites bleeding us dry.

We fall for the same trap every summer expecting a few signings will reignite us and it never does.

New owners and new ideas needed at the club. Mid table also rans awaits us otherwise.

Tom is a strange case. I've followed him for a while. He goes from seeming genuinely honest to extreme internet meltdown account.

He was banging the ole drum now we are a few bad results in he is certain he will be gone by February next year.

I think he needs the drama to keep followers.

Strange.

He’s based in Manchester isn’t he, is he a United fan?

I'll take 5 years of Europa League football if it means it forces the Glazers to sell up. The way they have run this football club has been a total disgrace. Apart from throwing silly money at glamour signings, what other areas of the football club have we seen investment in?

Compare us to virtually every other club in the premier league. Not only have other clubs inproved on the pitch, but they have also invested in their stadiums and training grounds. The glazers have shown zero interest in committing to any long term investment in Manchester United.

When they took us over in 2005, Manchester United (along with Real Madrid) had the highest expectations in world football for winning and playing the best, most entertaining football. Look where we are now, 14 years later. Crippled with half a billion of debt, a squad full of mid table quality, and top 4 ambitions every single year.

The sooner the Glazers feck off the better and it's time the fans tell them that!

How on earth is it depressing for our manager to want to get the players we have to play to their potential? That’s the only way we’ll become a top side.

Do you think Liverpool became a top team because they bought world class players? Apart from VVD they haven’t signed a single world class player. Likewise Spurs have not signed a single world class talent. Both of those teams worked hard on getting the most out of guys they had and bringing in medium level players and turning them into world class players. Mane and Firmino were both players we turned down for not being good enough.

We absolutely must focus on getting more out of our current players. Otherwise we’ll keep spending money on guys who underperform and we’ll wonder where we’re going wrong.

What if we had signed him after Ronaldo.
Wasted his transfer money on Obertan, Owen and Valencia.

That is why a right sided winger is a must. That position has been ignored for too long now.

So in those quotes above Ole nowhere says we wont make a significant number of signings. Nowhere. Journos or whatever the guy is twisting Ole's words or making things up shocker. Also what is so bad in making players fulfill their potential.

Bayern weren't selling him.

and people still get worked up over transfer tweets.

it's funny because it's still on their website, Bilbao on the main, when you click the article it's exclusive about Brighton.
It's absolutely hilarious that people blindly believe every negative tweet they see.

Our players are not good enough to challenge Liverpool and City. We need quality additions to this squad to get anywhere near the top.
