Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus
I'm expecting the same sort of summer to last summer.

1. Anticipation coming towards the end of the season that there will be big changes. Fans post next seasons starting 11s with the big names. This has to be the summer we make it happen!

2. One or two articles come out hinting there won't be as much action as we thought. Fans call for the journos to go on the blacklist. They don't want to read or hear this shit.

3. June arrives. Panic starts to set in. "It's only June ffs" cry those that maintain high hopes.

4. July arrives. Panic creeps in further "It's only July ffs". Fans are still keeping hope, even though you'd have expected deals to have been agreed well in advance of this stage, considering the amount of business needed.

5. August arrives. Woodward is briefing left, right and centre trying to save face. Sheer panic has reached all corners. As we draw to the end of the month, the more hopeful fans make proclamations about the club being badly run, the same ones they were arguing against a month earlier because they still kept the faith that there were logical reasons why we'd not put deals in place before summer.

6. The new season is here and we're even further behind City and Liverpool. The battle for top 6 is on.

What if we had signed him after Ronaldo.
Wasted his transfer money on Obertan, Owen and Valencia.

That is why a right sided winger is a must. That position has been ignored for too long now.
Robben would have made sense. Ribery always played left wing while robben was primarily right wing player and would have made lot of our right side issues for years.

To think we could get Robben if Chelsea didn't hackijked our deal in 2005 or so, I suppose. :(:(

they report Manchester United are sending an official to Sporting today. The person in question will be ‘taking notes’ as the Lisbon club play away at Belenenses.

Taking notes

Sunday, 5th May Scouting Notes

Belenenses vs. Sporting

- Good player
- Needs to bulk up
- Is he the United Way though?
- Suggest place him on 2nd list - Thiago Alcantara and Sneijder still 1st list targets
City are on the verge of pushing through the transfer and our scouts are just getting to the note taking stage.

Citeh really are a well oiled machine in terms of recruitment and football related affairs

I would trade all of the commercial success and prowess of the club for such a well run set up in an instant.

I'm hoping we do struggle next year. The quicker the Glazers are gone the better. We are.going nowhere with Ed in charge and the parasites bleeding us dry.

We fall for the same trap every summer expecting a few signings will reignite us and it never does.

New owners and new ideas needed at the club. Mid table also rans awaits us otherwise.
Please support another club

In Portuguese media, they think he'll go to City and others think he'll go to United

I wouldn't. They spent a fortune, cheated like nobody's business and basically yielded 3 PL titles in 10 years. That's a poor return and that's not even sustainable without the owners cooking the books.

Ole was supposed to make us better but looks like a Ed/ Glazer puppet. I'm convinced we've lost all ambition. Jose despite his crappy football was right all along. Losing De Gea and Pogba this season would drop us competing with Everton and Wolves for European football.

The Caf is a really toxic place atm. It will probably help when the season is finished.
I agree the caf is very toxic right now, but the meltdown over a clickbait tweet  some need to seriously get a grip.

I don't see United buying more than 3 players and more importantly pretty good chance we could lose either Pogba and De Gea. This is not just paper talk. There's some truth in this.

That’s probably sadly accurate. I think we all may have an incredibly frustrating summer in terms of rebuild. I think Ole will be the most frustrated of all. He’ll spend September trotting our excuses for the club

Sadly I think you're right.

Just got back from Milan and I can't help think our club is on a downward spiral to where AC are now. A great club with great history and fanbase but with underinvestment or wrong choices being made top to bottom.

Now languishing between UCL qualification and EL, exactly where we are now.

Sad times.

With felix it seems our name is being used to pressure City for more money. Note taking, indeed.
