the club needs to offer someone like Van D Saar a fortune to do the job at OT that he's doing at Ajax: chief executive. clear out the whole fecking board and continue on down until all the shit has been flushed out. then start again

Only positive was Greenwood. A bit more composure and a lesser keeper and he would have had a hat-trick. To get into those positions in the first place is already a great plus.

The "senior" players should really look at themselves and think why a 17 year old making his first start is the one getting on the end of those chances though. The lack of width was appalling as well, shows you how much we really need full-backs who are willing to overlap. Young did sweet FA offensively, but at least his corners and crosses made me chuckle with how terrible they were. Dalot looked on his last legs out there as well - what happened to his fitness?

He'll be sacked at Christmas if he decides to play Rashford as the main striker/ Smalling/Young/Jones in defence and The clowns in midfield.

Need a clearing out but not expecting it.

Shameful, embarrassing, gutless.

Been suffering through that shite all season apart from a few months where we turned it on. This squad needs an axe to it with no mercy for certain players who've run out of chances. Come back next season with some heart, inspiration and desire then the fans will respond in kind.

And people thought Rooney was the problem. He got kicked out of the club and we're stuck in the same place with less goals.
Yep... Another situation where some people decided that it was all his fault instead of looking at the bigger problems with the squad at the time. People are doing the same thing with Paul Pogba now. Why people do this, I don't know.

Why is our passing so slow? There is never any zip to our passes unless they're right outside the opposition box.

Cardiff had won 2 out of their last 11 going into this game and were already relegated.
This season is worse than Moyes.
We peaked at PSG and it has been fecking downhill since.
A poor transfer window and pre-season will result in the likes of Leicester and Everton catching us up.

The Treble Legends game in a few days will include guys who would do better than many of today's team of trick ponies, led by the cretin who is better at changing his hair colour than playing football

Quite poetic that Ole's season started off with a bang against Cardiff, and ended with a damp squib against Cardiff as well.

The balance seemed decent with McTominay at the base and Pogba and Pereira in front of him. Greenwood did well but he is being judged on completely different terms to established players - had Lukaku missed that many decent chances he'd have got dogs abuse. Solskjaer had to play the young home grown players just for that reason alone.

I refuse to believe that we don't have a good enough squad to beat the likes of relegation fodder like Cardiff. This is on both the manager and the players.

Any hope I had for next season is now gone. The players look bad and lethargic, Ole looks out of his depth. Woodward refuses to get a DoF in place.

I would be genuinely shocked if we made it to top 4 next year. Probably finish 6-8th with the manager sacked somewhere in the season now talking about how we need to replace the deadwood bought by Ole. Like the players, I am looking forward to the summer without football as well. Shame.

We celebrated in Paris as if we'd won something - and stopped playing thereafter. Two points out of the last 15 available. Disgusted

Greenwood and Angel Gomes the only positive really. Gomes put on show a wonderful through ball for whoever that was, something Lingard for example isn't capable of doing.

This team needs to be culled. No need of talking about a few transfer windows. Get Smalling, Jones, Young, Mata, Darmian, Matic, Bailly, Lukaku and Lingard out ASAP. Then if we can off load Pogba and Rashford too. I would rather we play the youngsters and bring in new players even in two windows. If not sack Ole.

Seriously worrying and depressing in equal measure. The club is a clusterf*ck from top to bottom. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets a whole lot worse next season

We were just beat at home to a relegated team our current manager relegated 5 years ago. Puts it into perspective.

Fitting way to end a pathetic season.

Now, let the rebuilding begin.
Not good enough in every department off the field and on it. OGS will not have enough time to rebuild this shower of s*** and will be sacked by Christmas. Overpaid prima donnas who do not belong at UTD and need to go this will take time !!!

What a forgettable end to an utterly forgettable season. Greenwood was the only real positive out there and its a shame one of his chances didn't result in a goal. Yes we had chances, but couldn't even put them away against Cardiff.

What was his speech like? "We are Manchester United, we have come back before and we'll do it again" etc.?

Can you see into the future or something? How can you see Ole offered nothing to us in the future?
Because we have no plan in our play, the coaching is clearly substandard otherwise players would have better knowledge of how to move positionally, what runs to look out for how to transition defending and attacking. The players aren't the greatest but they are not mentally incapable of understanding instruction.

Not one fan knows the ethos that Ole is offering us long term, what his vision for the team is how to plans to implement a system. He's shown he cannot turn bad results around, these are the best players Ole has managed in his entire career so how does buying better individuals differentiate his capabilities as a manager ? Madrid have the best squad in world football and two successive managers have failed miserably to not only motivate but tactically give them the edge.

We have been outplayed by West ham, battered by Everton, walked off the park to a draw against Huddersfield and commonly the managers for these teams have also been new appointments.

Ole is finished no one can provide compelling evidence that the club should have faith in him, because he doesn't offer us a platform for improvement he's got even less credentials than Moyes, yet people say Van Gaal nor Mourinho were not good enough.
