Absolute dog shit, no wonder we are a shambles when we have players like him about to enter their 9th season at the club. Being British helps sometimes I guess.

Under a tree.
Giving him a new contract is probably a sign of standard of the players that might be available or willing to come to us in the summer. Probably a reality that people need to get used to.

There are players in the Czech league who could do a better job than Phil Jones and will cost peanuts.
It’s not a case of black and white, you don’t have to buy Varane for 100m to improve on Phil feckin Jones.

Yeh and they could turn out to be another Bailly or Rojo, no guarantees.

Woodward is a moron for giving him a contract, absolute moron. He extended Rojo too who now is a liability.

Think him signing that contract is one of the low points of this club in the last six years. Disgusting. What message does it send?

Mid table player at best, which is probably where we’re heading.

Looks like a removal man

Was really happy when we signed him because he looked really good at Blackburn. He did well in first season or 2 but after that he simply didn't improved at all.

Shocking that he's still here.

What on earth is going on here? Can someone just shoot these pr!cks. Should be embarrassed by the season and hiding in shame. Not posting your new haircut/style on fecking Twitter.

It's interesting, because as a fanbase we can't make up our minds... Phil Jones isn't a flashy social media brand, and although he's never likely to become the defender he was signed to be, he isn't nearly as bad as some people make out. If he signed a contract with big wages it would have been all over the papers... so he clearly signed a relatively modest contract with a view to staying at the club he's made his home since he was a teenager. I like Phil, and Phil gets too much stick. That said, he gives me heart palpitations and I want Koulibaly as the starting LCB this season.

Surely this was just to get some decent money for him this season. We can’t actually want this guy for 4 more years?

He’s absolute dogshit. A complete brainless donkey with the footballing level and intelligence of a bottom half defender. Some aspects of his game are championship level.

He’s not good enough and he’s never fit.

I'm sure he knows about it! I'd tell them don't post my face any fecking where! If he had some sense.
The barber/stylist is getting publicity by cutting Jones hair... Jones is being nice letting him use his photo... Don’t be such a hater.

These are real people. They shouldn’t have to go into hiding because fans of their teams take a game so seriously.

And no, I’m not saying the sport isn’t serious - these guys are making a living better than 99% of the world playing it. But I am saying people like you take it too serious sometimes.

He's obviously not on big wages but that misses the point. At a club like United, if you haven't maintained a certain standard for a considerable period of time, you should be sold on principle. Let's see how long Mariano stays at Madrid even though he's on peanuts. Or what's the name of that striker they have with funny hair? If you keep getting your contract renewed despite being shit for long periods, it sends a bad message, regardless of how much you earn.

This was clearly posted by an ambitious barber who had someone semi-famous in his chair. Phil Jones is just doing a local business a favour... which isn't a bad thing lads.

Years ago Jones overtook me in true boy racer fashion.. cant remember the exact car he was in but it was a true footballer / expensive sports car. Needlessly aggressive.

At the time I thought what a complete wanker he was. Nothing has changed my mind.

Him being at United sums up the quality of out squad.

Don't you think you're slightly overreacting here?
