Where the grass is greener.
No chance. Nobody knows where Spurs will be in two years. Could just as easily be back in eighth like they usually were.
But so could we, maybe not 8th, but outside the top 4 might as well be 8th. I'd have a lot more faith in Spurs than I would us these days, because they've actually done it. We can claim we should be in the CL, but they're the ones consistently finishing top 4.

He looks like a rich man's Sissoko from the limited YouTube videos that I have seen.

I'm assuming he is far more than that given the price tag and interest. Are there any other comparisons?

He is nothing like Sissoko.

Both has pace and are black, but one is super talent with the ball and the other doesn't know what to do with it.

Check this post

Please get him at all cost.

He is the best deep central midfielder of his generation.

Don't miss this chance

He play well in a double pivot with a 10 in front for Lyon or the french nt.

He got everything in his looker (acceleration, strenght, agility, skill, long pass, short pass, aggresivness, throught ball, press resistant, position awarness).

He proved himself against PSG, City and Barça.

Just watch the video, i mean this is not a 3 or 10 minutes, it's 20 minutes of excellent play from deep midfield.

He has the rare ability to completly break the press of the opposition and find a good pass consistently.

Real and Spurs are after him, so we need to be quick.

Don't negociate the fee, give Lyon the money they want and make a contract offer he can't refuse.

Too me, he is just as important if not more, than De Ligt.

Please make it happen now, instead of waiting for Pogba to leave.

Get him now and make him play with Pogba.

If the later leave atleast we got one great player already in.

If we wait, we will miss out like VVD and cry a river when he run ring all over your midfield with ease.
And rewatch the 20 minutes video, if you can't see his qualities, no one can help you.

NB :

He is a deep midfielder, please don't expect goal or decisive pass.

His job is to get the ball and start the attack from deep

Are there any Lyon fans or people that regularly watch them here?

Would be nice to get an opinion from someone that’s followed him all season rather than from 15 minute highlight videos.

How did N'Domebele play next to Pogba in the last game? They have been playing in a midfield of 2.

They played together on Tuesday and won 4-0. The game before pogba was played with matuidi and sissoko and they got done by turkey

Pogba played as CDM and Tanguy in the box to box role. The opponent was extremely weak.

I guess nobody can help me. Don't see a 'super talent' with the ball.

Thanks though.

I think it's clear as day he's not been identified as a target unless something is being done behind closed doors, he'll be a Spurs / Juventus / City player come August.

Very talented player, would love to see him in a United shirt. Him and Ruben Neves are the type of DMs i'd like to see much more then the classic destroyer like Declan Rice.

I agree. I see Aouar as the type of midfielder who could end up bossing Barcelona or Real Madrid's midfield as their best CM or as a left sided player a bit like Iniesta played it for a number of years. As such I feel like he's probably priceless to Lyon for the foreseeable future and only one of the highest transfer fees in football takes him away.

N'Dombele on the other hand I can see Lyon being keen to cash in on him because they got him pretty cheap and would probably be fine without him. I can't see him being that same CM at Barcelona or Madrid for example because he's a different type of player and I'm not convinced he's as technically sound as they'd demand in that short passing and technical style. He's still a very good young CM though he's just probably not quite on the level where every top team would make space for him like Aouar might potentially be.

I'm not sure we're at a level where we can get even close to players like that right now. I think N'Dombele is more in our range
I'm sorry but I don't think we're at the level of being able to easily attract N'Dombele. Lyon have already qualified for the champions league spot, while have not. We are a club in the midst of chaotic rebuild process, and it is quite a risky move for players to move here.

That being said, would love it if we managed to get him.

:lol: haven't laughed like that in a long time
What a sense of humour you must have.

That's how he comes across on videos but as I say - that's all I've seen of him. I'm sure he's better/different given the price tag and fuss.

Even if you only take into account the youtube videos, Sissoko has never come close to display this level of skill on the ball. You need to get your eyes checked. They have very little in common

They are absolutely nothing alike, the comparison is extremely surprising outside of nationality and ethnicity.

They play a similar position, both strong and dribble in a similar way. As I said Ive seen him on a 10 minute video for feck sake.

I'm sure N'dombele is much better on the ball as other have said.

Yeah, that's how it looked.

Thanks for the info though guys.
To be honest it's shocking that you think that they dribble the same way, Sissoko doesn't even dribble or quickly change direction, he makes straight runs and can barely pass the ball.

As far as I can see they dribble very similar. Sissoko doesn't dribble is a bizarre thing to say mind.

I can appreciate you have seen him much more and im wrong so thats that.

More like mousa dembele former spurs player than sissoko.

Could definitely be coached to play as a 6 as well. I think he should be one of the additions in midfeild .

Today there isn't much between Aouar and Ndombele, it's a very subjective topic.
I do not agree,

Aouar has played with Ndombele as double pivot but he also has been shifted all over the midfield and the wing.

I have seen Ndombele as pivot without Aouar, but i have never seen Aouar as a pivot without Ndombele.

I'm not saying that Aouar his bad as a pivot, because he is excellent, but I believe that Ndombele allow Aouar to play well as a pivot thanks to his energy, just like Kante allow Pogba to play well for the french nt.

Not the over way around.

I also noticed that Deschamps has given the Kante spot to Ndombele when he was absent, not Aouar, that suggest he see the former as a better option.

I also noticed that Spurs, Real (Zidane and the fans) and PSG (Mbappe) all want him, not Aouar.

I mean, are they all wrong ?

JJ12, I'm sorry that you can't see from his video that he is super talent (nothing like Sissoko), but maybe you should trust Deschamps and Zidane in this case.

He is the real midfield deal of this window, he is better than De Jong and De Beek.

@Get young talent It's literally the other way around. Aouar can play in a double pivot, as a CM in a 3 men midfield, on the wing and as a 10.
Ndombele never gets moved from his position because he can't play anywhere else.

@GlastonSpur In the world? No idea, It's a tough call, I don't think there's a single young midfielder who is far ahead and shoulders above the rest like Mbappe for attackers or De Ligt amongst defenders.

He reminds me so much of Mousa Dembele (former Spurs midfielder). His unreal upper body strength, the way he shields the ball, etc...

The main difference imo is that Ndombele is a better passer and has better vision, while Dembele probably had a better dribble on him.
