I think they sort of show how money on its own (without scouting, philosophy etc.) doesn’t amount to much at all.

They’re constantly trying to flash cash but it never works
Agreed.

They’re basically a worse version of us at the moment.

Pogba on strike  I love how these Spanish journalists dramatize football.

Hopefully he marches around the aon complex with a board saying hala madrid and shouting through a megaphone. If you are going to strike go all 80s miner.

What are the chances we offered them Jones and Young and they went, no thanks.

Unsure if true or not, but this is giving me massive vibes of 2013.
Its too early to be that worried. We have signed one player already and look close to signing another in AWB. So I wouldn't be too worried yet.Having said that,

I wouldn't be surprised if we make only 4 signings and I would be ok with that provided we get rid of at least 5-6 players (including the likes of Rojo,Darmian,Sanchez etc.)

West Ham will take anybody in fairness. Their board is worse than ours. I loved it when they had Zabaleta and Evra as full backs the other year, with Joe Hart in goal..

He's over the hill now.
That is a statement from somebody who clearly hasn’t watched his last season at Bayern. He was rather good.
If he wants to go to Dortmund, Bayern will let him go. He is their 4th choice CB.
I also doubt he would be interested in United. Or anywhere but Dortmund actually.

United offered West Ham Young+Jones+£45m for Diop.

But West Ham are holding out for £45m.

I've watched him plenty, and he's not as good as he used to be. We don't need players on a downward curve, we have enough as it is.

It would be good if we could speed up our transfers from now on. We need to be done by July 1st and mentally be ready for the new season.

Hummels is still top class and probably the best german defender.
But Bayern bought Hernandez and Pavard + Süle is their future.

Hummels is to good for the third choice and 30 is no age for a CB.
He always had a briliant game understanding and wasn't the fastest anyway. Probably has another 3 years in him.

I hope it's not true in regards to Diop, otherwise it would show nothing has changed in regards to our awful scattergun transfer policy that that moron Woodward has overseen for 7 summers

"I'm a player that's always trying to get on top [of the opposition]," Everton told the Daily Mail after the game.

"Cutting in from the left with dribbles and good finishes.

"Clubs in Europe have this style of play too and maybe I can fit in at Manchester United and others."
