I doubt that, knowing Aulas and how much of a greedy man he is and knowing we'd flused with Pogba money, he'd ask some ridiculous fees for the 2 of them.
He isn't particularly greedy, especially if he has an agreement with his player, look at Umtiti or Benzema. The thing though is that Lyon aren't selling both Aouar and NDombélé the same year, it's not their way to do things.

Keeping a player that doesn't want to be here would be a big mistake. If we want to rebuild we don't need any distractions or anyone that don't want to play here without commitment.

3 years in, won a World Cup, had his most productive season, seen Martial get a reported 250k/week deal, Sanchez 500k. It's time for a new contract most likely. After Oles comments in April it seems the most logical explanation.

I hate Raiola but you can't deny that his methods are effective. If he starts with a few good performances next season and becomes the focal point of a much improved team most of us will forget about all the nonsense that seems to be so popular now days when it comes to contract negotiations.

It’s reported all over the place that N’Dombele is available for about £65 million which leaves £85 million leftover from a £150 million Pogba sale for Auoar and I don’t think Auoar would cost £85 million so l think it’s definitely possible to sign all three of N’Dombele, Auoar and Rabiot on the back of selling Pogba and not losing a penny.

And we still have 200 million plus to sort out back line. Then whatever we get for Lukaku to bring in Dembele or whoever. If we are given this money ???

Not if its in the contract, and i think neymar had a similar pisstake leaving barca for psg. They had to honour the bonus payment

Forget what is reported if we sell Pogba before them. Those figures will increase much more. Aulas is no fool

Yeah for sure. I meant that it would take something ridiculous to have them both sold at the same time. Much more than what they are currently valued for

If this is true (it's the sun so may not) but which genius (Woody?) agreed this:

  • Paul Pogba is in line for a £3.78m "loyalty" bonus from Manchester United just three days after declaring he needs a new challenge

Loyalty bonuses are standard. But hey....

so less than three years shows loyalty?
Every year they complete, they will get part of loyalty bonus. If the loyalty bonus is 10 million and 5 year contract, they will get 2 million every year.

I actually spent 3 years of my life defending him .. feels weird but I'm just completely over him.
Maybe letting him go now is best for all, at least we won't be wondering if an X player will be able to play with Pogba.

Unfortunately, nothing will happen cause it all depends on Woody..

and I'm meant to think that's OK for a guy who says he wants out? I get that this happens, I don't have to like it or think Woodward is clever agreeing to it!

Not sure, these contracts are way too complicated with so many lawyers involved. Media just reports everything out of context.

Slap another £3m on the asking price then. Let Juve pay his “loyalty” bonus.

Aye, but you would hope that someone would have the common sense and foresight to include something along the lines of ".... players shall not be eligible for a loyalty bonus if they publicly express a desire to leave the club."

I don´t see any (realistic) transfer who could replace Pogba and increase the strengh of Uniteds midfield. Rabiot? Nice player, but not close to Pogba. Maybe United would get enough money from a pogba transfer to buy two players for their first team. Rabiot and Bale or Rabiot and Dybala for Pogba? Maybe worth to think about.

I don't think you can take a loyalty bonus out of context... it's the subject matter!

You can, like how media is making it sound like some special bonus when every player gets loyalty bonus.

I think they should be awarded after the summer window. But clubs seem to award them around the same time

We don't have to get a direct Pogba replacement. We could get a stronger midfield and team by recruiting players that could make a balanced midfield.

I dont believe he'll leave. I dont think anyone would be willing or able to meet our asking price.

In today's market the 150m quoted seems right - he's never worth that and i'd be gobsmacked if any club met the valuation.

Winning the CL with Juve has become a challenge that not even Ronaldo has been able to conquer. They're a hell of a lot closer to achieving that than us.

Nah, he's not going anywhere.
He will be here and sulk until he gets his move. This will add to the unrest and toxicity in the dressing room and we will have more media scrutiny for all the wrong reasons(what else is new).
Ole will have to put up with this nonsense as well as try and gel a group of players together in order for us to function as a unit.
This is drama that we do not need!!

Just sell the fecker and move on. Please!

Win UCL for club that launched his career is not new challenge? Ok
Still better than "challenge" of EL and 6th place.

That is far too logical and sensible for Manchester United recruitment department, it'll never happen and they probably won't even consider it.

I think Neymar got a fat sign-on bonus paid upfront when he prolonged his contract with Barcelona, just to leave for PSG nxt summer when they activated his release clause. So not really the same thing.
Not so smart by Barcelona to foresee that by raising his release clause. I might be wrong about the exact details, but I think thats what happened.

If woody and Ole can't agree on players transfer cost then we are lost right away.

It's not a new challenge he wants anyway...it's an easier challenge. He looks at City and Liverpool, sees how much better than us they are and that we're probably not going to compete domestically for another year or two so wants to go back to Juve where the league for next season is basically already won, and he might get an extra cup and better chance of a champions league run too.

Bin him off. Can't stand all the publicity and whatever around him. Everything is about Pogba. On his day, yes, he's excellent. But how many days has he had in the last 3 years? Count them on one hand I reckon. From the reported €150 million, you could build most of the midfield that actually works for the style of football Ole is aiming for.

quick google check and it appears he was due 26m bonus 4 days before his move to PSG. Seems it all went ugly with courts though, with Barca refusing to pay it

Many sided with Pogba against Mourinho. I see he's not getting the same benefit of the doubt with Solksjaer.
