Presumably to poison the atmosphere as much as possible and create a reason to let him leaveSure this has already been asked a million times, but why wait until the day before we leave on tour to do this?
It's clearly not as was proved by the post I was replying to.This is argument is so funny to me its BS and is used nearly every day. It's literally the opposite where people will clamour for ANY British player who strings 2 decent games together.
Sure this has already been asked a million times, but why wait until the day before we leave on tour to do this?
Exactly. Him and his fat cnut of an agent will push this all the way to the end of the window to put pressure on us to suite themselves. We should be controlling the agenda here, Pogba should have been sat down after the season ended and asked to make a decision so we could have bought replacements before even allowing them to break the news in the media. Unfortunately I fear that he will be allowed to move so late that we either can’t get a replacement or have to pay silly money for 3rd rate options while we lament all the cm’s who moved in the meantime for reasonable sums.Presumably to poison the atmosphere as much as possible and create a reason to let him leave
I think our wires are crossed. If Longstaff was playing in the Dutch league and was available for £10m then perhaps they would be in for him. You're sneering that because they're not in for him it somehow means that he isn't any good. The fact is that foreign clubs won't compete for British players with their inflated fees due to the economics of the Premier League.
Ohhh, big man Paul. Can’t see a real challenge even when it’s right in front of you. Shows a week character imo. Good riddance.
Ohhh, big man Paul. Can’t see a real challenge even when it’s right in front of you. Shows a week character imo. Good riddance.
Fair enough but we also have demand that we can only sell you at the right price. Raiola better tells Real or Juve to meet our asking price.
OK fair enough. Apologies.I think our wires are crossed.
I want us to sign Longstaff and the other guy is saying that he's so good that no other top clubs are after him and my argument is that they don't pay the English premium but they'll get them if the price is right like in the instances you have stated.
To be fair, he came back to us after we finished 5th with no CL football when he could've gone to Real Madrid to the challenge of helping us get back to the top. He also bet on himself to succeed at Juve, and did, which showed character.Ohhh, big man Paul. Can’t see a real challenge even when it’s right in front of you. Shows a week character imo. Good riddance.
Our fans obsession with age and challenges is truly weird. Being fine finishing 5-6th is not a challenge, it's admitting you are a shit player playing in a shit team. Everyone wants to be a big part of a winning team, how difficult is it to understand?Ohhh, big man Paul. Can’t see a real challenge even when it’s right in front of you. Shows a week character imo. Good riddance.
Because his agent is a piece of shit.Sure this has already been asked a million times, but why wait until the day before we leave on tour to do this?
He is, but I think this is exactly why Pogba wants to move. As @Acquire Me said, this is a big flaw in his character, he wants it easy. He always has.Kaveh doesn't know shit. He's the most useless of all Sky journos which is a fecking achievement.
Madrid never had 89m spare that summer. To be fair, he came back to us after we finished 5th with no football when he could've gone to Real Madrid to the challenge of helping us get back to the top. He also bet on himself to succeed at Juve, and did, which showed character.
a footballers career is short and he's better than the Europa league so it's understandable that he wants to leave.
Too bad most of our british players are the shit ones. It's clearly not as was proved by the post I was replying to.
He used Dalot as an example and everyone was excited by him because he was a total unknown.
British players can actually be good footballers. I know its shocking to you fair weather fans but England are doing well in the International stage once again and there's good footballers around.
It's not his fault. He's world class when he has other world class players around himHe is, but I think this is exactly why Pogba wants to move. As @Acquire Me said, this is a big flaw in his character, he wants it easy. He always has.
In fairness, I think we were aware of his intentions and are planning for his departure.Exactly. Him and his fat cnut of an agent will push this all the way to the end of the window to put pressure on us to suite themselves. We should be controlling the agenda here, Pogba should have been sat down after the season ended and asked to make a decision so we could have bought replacements before even allowing them to break the news in the media. I hope they do but unfortunately they'll not be running anywhere.(hopefully if the Glazers don't take the money and run
Then why not try to be a leader at United and turn them into winners again. I agree with what you are saying, but Paul wants to just stroll about. However it also shows how badly this team has been run, so this is opening the can of worms as wide as it can be. All the ire will be on him, but the top brass at this club are the ones to blame in the long run.Our fans obsession with age and challenges is truly weird. Being fine finishing 5-6th is not a challenge, it's admitting you are a shit player playing in a shit team. Everyone wants to be a big part of a winning team, how difficult is it to understand?
sorry - sloppy choice of words on my part. I don't mean that I expect them to leave, just a reasonable chance that they will pay themselves the money rather than reinvest and leave Woodward and Ole to take the flak.I hope they do but unfortunately they'll not be running anywhere.
If you have the right mentality you can step up and make sure your club becomes a winning team. Some of us loves that challenge. You could go working for Apple or you could start up your own company and fight as hell to become a player of your own. It’s no doubt in my mind that Paul can play, he just takes the easy path every time. Our fans obsession with age and challenges is truly weird. Being fine finishing 5-6th is not a challenge, it's admitting you are a shit player playing in a shit team. Everyone wants to be a big part of a winning team, how difficult is it to understand?
He should act like on. If he only plays great football with world class players around him, who are world class then? Him or the players who drags his easy ass? It's not his fault. He's world class when he has other world class players around him
I am not Pogba's fan and I want him sold but I don't think it's right to blame him for wanting to leave this mess. Everyone can see we are not winning anything important in the next 5 years, would you waste your best years chasing 4th place trophy? Or would rather go to team like Madrid/Juve who are really doing their best to be the best team in the world? I absolutely know which option I would pick. Then why not try to be a leader at United and turn them into winners again. I agree with what you are saying, but Paul wants to just stroll about. Bang on.."Preparing a bid"
"Joining the race"
fecking pathetic they get away with the same old nonsensical cliches year after year and all the saps who still lap it up as if these are meaningful phrases.
Fair enough, but Juve were still miles ahead of us but left. I honestly think he wanted to be a part of helping United get back to the top having been through the academy and settling in the city. Of course the money played a big part, but I don't believe that was his only reason for returning.Madrid never had 89m spare that summer.
To be fair, swap Pogba for any class player and they'd struggle in this team/club. It's no surprise he's wanted by title winning clubs like Juve and Madrid as he's proven that - in a cohesive team - he's brilliant like with France and Juve. It's not his fault. He's world class when he has other world class players around him
It'd be nice but a footballers career is short and he wants trophies. Then why not try to be a leader at United and turn them into winners again. Fair play on him on the bottle challenge. He is a athlete, no doubt about that.Wait, the bottle top challenge isn't real?
That's a bit drastic. Are we getting demoted?Everyone can see we are not winning anything important in the next 5 years
Agree d. I don't wanna defend him but what he wants is completely reasonable.I am not Pogba's fan and I want him sold but I don't think it's right to blame him for wanting to leave this mess. Everyone can see we are not winning anything important in the next 5 years, would you waste your best years chasing 4th place trophy? I think it's more to do with his choice of attire in the vid. He's a prickFair play on him on the bottle challenge. He is a athlete, no doubt about that.
No, open your eyes and you will see. By important I mean the league or CL, I couldn't care less about league cup or some international champions cup. That's a bit drastic. Are we getting demoted?
I can understand why he is unhappy, I also think Herrera thought the same, it is the reason we are struggling to sign the top notch players. The difference in how Herrera has dealt with it and how Paul has dealt with it is night and day. Yes they will earn big money, but both want to win things. Some are just happy with the money. We have too many players who are self-satisfied and have no ambition.I am not Pogba's fan and I want him sold but I don't think it's right to blame him for wanting to leave this mess. Everyone can see we are not winning anything important in the next 5 years, would you waste your best years chasing 4th place trophy? Hahahaha no denying that. Although that's just the more established ones. Some of the kids look promising, Greenwood especially.Too bad most of our british players are the shit ones.
I didn't say English players were bad, and there good talents around. We have signed AWB who is a fine player and already have Rashford and Greenwood on the books. As long as we're actually target the best of the current crop and not just signing a player because of their nationality Just tired of the same shitty comments like "fancy foreign player/name bad".It's clearly not as was proved by the post I was replying to.
He used Dalot as an example and everyone was excited by him because he was a total unknown.

I would go as far as 2 years but 3 years is a long time in football when you have a clear strategy. Oh wait a second. No, open your eyes and you will see. By important I mean the league or CL, I couldn't care less about league cup or some international champions cup.

Say if we were this bad 20 years ago, I'm sure Keane would've left for a title challenging club. It's standard.
That's a bit of a problem we have for the past X yearsI would go as far as 2 years but 3 years is a long time in football when you have a clear strategy. Oh wait a second.
