not enough sources and too many "supposedly" in one sentence for the conversation in this thread to be presented as "will he cause more unrest with the the other players?"

I agree. But times have changed and players are playing at a higher level for a longer period of time. Of course Ronaldo is still doing his thing at this age, but Pogba, even at 27, will still have a good 6 or 7 or even 9 years left in him. So I still think he's an attractive proposition.

I've got a bad feeling about this whole situation. I don't believe we will ever see the best of Pogba before his contract is up, I don't think a club will ever cough up what we want and I don't think we'll ever see a fully focused and happy Paul Pogba here.
So unless we drop our demands, I think he'll continue to be an issue for us until his contract is up, at which point he'll move to Madrid and become and incredibly rich guy. What is the right thing to do in our position? I think is obvious, but many will disagree.

Mbappé has a massive ego, I actually think that he has the biggest ego of all the current stars, so I wouldn't be surprised if he had an interest in joining United just to put it back at the top while becoming a legend. I'm not guaranteeing anything but he has that type of mentality. Now the only way United can have him is by selling him the idea and then show him our ambiton when he is still at PSG.
Noone would ever have thought top class players would go to the French league, so you can't rule things out when top wages are available.
Barcelona learn their lesson when messing with PSG, so Real Madrid will have to really pay high to get Mbappe, and that's "if" PSG want to cash in.

Not really, self belief isn't enough unless we are talking about a fool(Pogba), football is a team sport even the best player need to be surrounded by quality and a player with a bit of common sense isn't joining a "project" where he isn't guaranteed to have proper support. Every Batman needs his Robin and in football they are plural.
If PSG don't win the ECL in the next 1-2 years, he'll force them to sell him. He has the ambition to become the best player in the world. The stars will hesitate to come to PSG now they know how difficult is to leave the club or they'll have to perform in the ECL on a regular basis to keep them happy and build a powerful club in Europe.

Hazard was able to stand out and make a real difference at Chelsea? You act like he'd be joining a 10th place team with an inability to help him. Aguero joined City as did many others when they had achieved nothing. Hazard actually joined a team outside the top 4 instead of us, the Champions!! They were all guaranteed naff all!

Oh the "everyone is shit but Pogba" argument. Pogba did nothing to prove he isn't part of the problem. He holds on to the ball for too long and tries to trick his way out even when there are good pass options available.
He has been a liability more often than not, because he's more worried about showing of his skills than doing the boring productive plays and committing to his defensive duties.

It's not a common situation because world class players are usually at clubs that have a good roster. Still, off the top of my head, I remember Riquelme being a boss at Villareal, where his teammates were far from world class. Not saying they were bad, but then, our players are not as bad as people make out to be. Certainly not bad enough to make a world class player look like shit.
Still, if you're interested, watch some Brazilian league matches involving some old players that retired from European football. Even at a more advanced age they are clearly one or two steps above their less skilled counterparts. Seedorf was an absolute beast for Botafogo at 36 with less than impressive teammates.
