Haha no worries, I was starting to convincing myself in my head, "yeah, maybe he learnt how to cross like that abroad"...
It's funny how stuff like that can affect your thoughts. You know I'm wrong, but your brain is trying to fill in the gaps that don't exist.

I'm happy to give rashford and martial the lead as the strikers with Sanchez and greenwood filling in for injuries and rotation.
All those players (bar Greenwood) have had a season and failed miserably to shine up top or in any position to be fair. I'd rather Vardy than all those up top!

It's clear Rashford is quality, he needs to be trusted and given a clear starting role for him to properly flourish as a top level striker. I'm all for it personally, I think we need to build a way of playing and establish key players in key positions.
Ok this season we may not set the world alight but as long as we can stay in the fight for top 4 while starting to build an actual team them I'm happy.

Martial has never had a complete season up top. And Rashford prior to his injury was extremely impressive. People love overreactions. I'd love a plan B style striker like Haller but Vardy would be utterly useless.

No problems with offering De Gea a top dollar. He's our best player, we should think about giving too much money to those not deserving it.

That's a remarkable fall upward for Trippier. From what I've read he's been pretty crap since the World Cup.
He has looked unconcentrated at times - the main problem With Trippier in the last season was that second of madness he had against several of the topclubs (like the one against us when he gave the ball away to Pogba - and Rashford scored)

A complete season up top? No of course not he's had games here and there to impress up top and done "not enough" to warrant a consistent run. You do realise we can't afford someone like Martial to stand motionless and not making the runs in behind right for more than 90 minutes? As we lose points each time he does that. The fact he does it so often its a bloody topic of debate on here and footballing talk shows says it all!

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Had to put oul Fridge on ignore for the duration of the transfer window. He's doing a fine job but my word the lower league transfer news spam is too much.

Cool. I also hope you'll be happy with us scraping into the top 8 this coming season. Because those four combined will be lucky to score 40 goals. I'd say 15 for 'Rashy', 10 for Martial, 2 for Sanchez and 1-2 for Mason.

And I'd be happy if those 4 contribute "that many goals". The jump in expectation is unfair to them to expect more. They are still the same players more or less as last year. If anything the focus (pressure) is even more. I agree we either keep Lukaku who I'd wager to outscore them all over a season or replace him with better. Ideally the latter.
