Even in the face of danger, Ozil is too lazy to act. Kolasinac on the other hand should change his name to Rambo.

Glad the crazy bastard is ok.

P.s. of that were me, I wouldn't get out of the car. So I'd be Ozil in that situation.

Seriously you two are a joke.

You're seriously saying Ozil was too lazy because he drove away with his wife and Kolasinic's wife in the car to get them to safety?

You seriously think Kolasinic would want Ozil to abandon both his wife and Ozil's to help him out? No.. just no.. the priority is getting them to safety.

You might think of Ozil as a lightweight in terms of football, but the man is still huge compared to the average man.

Is Ozil getting those two wives to safety every big game as well?

Apparently Kola was shouting "Mesut, be brave, just imagine this is the CL final.".

The feck is that on his head?
A glorious blonde wig ! I'm more concerned about the guy behind him who manages to be the one with the weird eyes on a photo with Özil :(

Err what? He's 180cm which is the very definition of an average man.

Some absolute gems on Twitter tonight - "typical of Ozil to leave his fullback exposed like that"

Fair fecks to Kolasinac though, tough ol' bastards from Eastern Europe.

Meh people act differently to danger. Maybe Kolasinac told him to drive away.

If Kolasinac had been stabbed, I doubt he’d be getting the praise he is now. He would have been branded stupid for confronting people with a knife. This time it worked perfectly fine for him, but another time he might not be so lucky.

Jesus.. seriously..

You realise that being huge doesn't mean being need to mean that you're particularly tall right? Do you think that Shaqiri isn't a tank then?

If you think that is enough nowadays to spray some passes around....if you are shit without the ball, you are hopeless. That was possible 20 years ago and guys like Özil got carried and their quality on the ball outweighted their lack of workrate, but nowadays you need 11 players in sync, especially with the pressing tactics everyone adopted. I also dont see any hunger in him.

The only options i see for him after Arsenal are MLS, China or Turkey. Wont be missed.
I'd argue that players of his quality should be enabled to have a free role.

Stupid move by Kolasinac, if you can't get away then give them what they want then report it.

Anybody praising him for this, you think being the big man would be a comfort to your wife/kids if you done the same and were stabbed to death? It's just brainless.

Really easy think to say, unless you were in that position nobody knows how they would react. We are chatting about people wielding knives with intent to use them. It's split second decisions with life changing consequences. I don't live in London but with the current knife crime attacks, I'm not sure I would be laying down if I thought they were going to stab me regardless. That said I wasn't in that situation and I don't know how I would react.

The level of hate for Ozil is alarming!
Sead quite clearly shouts something through the window as he's running towards an attacker, probably 'drive away' but obviously context counts for nothing.

Haven't heard anything about knife robberies in London, can anybody explain or point me to articles on that matter?

I don't know the details about those attacks obviously, but usually you aren't in danger if you give them what they want so that's almost always adviceable. Even more so, those guys can buy a car like thise once every week so risking your life for that doesn't seem very smart. I'm impressed by Kolasinac's reaction, seems very courageous and brave, but I'd say his temperament clouded his judgememt there.

Too many internet hard men around these days, feckers probably wouldn't open house door when it's late! Ozil had his wife and Kola's wife in the car, these moped cnuts are vicious and would have no hesitation seriously injuring or killing someone for what they want.

I agree split second reaction, fight or flight. Kola's a fecking nutter for taking them on but he could have got seriously hurt or even killed.

Some parts of London have got a real bad problem with these guys who go around on mopeds robbing people also there is a big knife crime problem. Both political parties are blaming each other (Mayor is Labour & government is Conservative) but no doubt the massive cuts in policing and social cuts have obviously played a role but thats a discussion for another time!

The worrying thing is these attacks happen in broad daylight, people in more expensive cars are told to keep their windows closed when driving around as people have had their watches stolen while at traffic lights.

The knife crime is more gang related, but the robberies are happening (perhaps by the same gangs who knows) by people on mopeds driving around and then either robbing phones/handbags/watches etc.

Hard to know whether they were targetting Ozil's car (Mercedes G wagon very expensive) or just saw some bling on them and thought it would be an easy score.

Most people threatened like that would just give it up, but not Kola

Some of you big tough guys need to stfu.

If I’m in the car with wives etc they are my priority. I’m driving my wife right outta there. I’m likely to prioritize the other guys wife too.

Could just see you lot on the Titanic, nobody would have survived at all.

I can’t stand him as a player. As a person he’s made a few dodgy decisions like having dictator as his best man. But criticising him for not confronting people with knives is just stupid especially with what’s going on in England currently. It’s the other guy who should be branded stupid. There’s no point fighting with these guys. I’m sure most of the stuff that gets stolen would be replaced by the companies anyway looking for free publicity. I mean if their car got stolen, I’m sure the car company for free publicity would give them a new one.

People were brought up differently. Most Eastern Europeans would happily die fighting for what they've earnt, considering some have come from nothing.

I know this seems a strange mentality to some but it doesn't surprise me at all the way he reacted. Tbh it was probably the "safer" option than just standing by and saying oh please mr don't hurt me. They might have shanked him anyway.

You can tell by the way these guys were running around they were probably young inexperienced kids who didn't really know what they were doing.

Ozil driving the feck away leaving Kolasinac there. It's honestly as if he just wanted to reinforce every meme and stereotype about him.
Reports seem to confirm that Özil hid in the restaurant. The idiots attacking was also reportedly targeting him.
Honestly, I like you Kostur, but I think it's a bit small-time to get negative about a escape-reaction when you are attacked.

I would definitely disarm and ninja kick these attackers. We did this self defense class at work once and the nice lady showed me how to take away someone's knife. It was a rubber knife of course, but seemed pretty straight forward. Özil is such a coward.

Damn, Kolasinac has big balls. Also, Özil looks like Megan Rapinoe in his new hair-style.
