Will be interesting to see what we do with the money generated from this transfer.

SMS provides what Pogba does to a lesser extent and with more consistent and better defensive contributions.
Bruno provides a more steady flow of goals and attacking contributions than Pogba.
Selling Pogba (if he's adamant on leaving) and getting those two in with around £30m-£40m change is a no brainer. If a player doesn't want to stay then unless he's Ronaldo, he isn't worth keeping... And Pogba is no Ronaldo.

Any right thinking United fan recognises that keeping Pogba is essential.
Whereas I dare say most of us are either totally neutral or keen to ship Lukaku, having got sick at his seeming minimal ability to stay fit, and shocking control for a top level player.

Did SMS regress considerably this past season? Remember him being probably the most sought after midfielder in Europe last summer. He was basically last season's De Jong where Real Madrid, City, Juve etc were all after him.
it'd be an interesting look for sure. My fear is that Madrid will come calling for Paul after the deadline though, forcing us to keep him and have an unsettled player as a result. United have to have a firm deadline here for any potential Pogba deal.

That is always my stance no matter the club or player, as long as a reasonable deal can be done where not giving up on value.
agreed, that's what I meant. We sign no replacement, Real come knocking after August 8th, Pogba wants to go, we have to keep him because of no replacement and Pogba is unsettled. That's my fear and that has to be avoided at any cost.
