Probably not since the figures mentioned aren't special. People will have a hard time accepting it but it's the club and its circumstances. We may like Ole but he is a nobody in the managerial world and for a team that has struggled to qualify for CL, let alone perform in it, it's a massive issue because outsiders have no reason to believe that this club is on the right track. The club could be on the right track but it's not visible from the outside.
I don't have a hard time accepting it really. We are where we are and Ole isn't a massive pull with question marks all over Pogba as our best player. It is definitely hard to convince some of the bigger names to join us. Also, Dybala as much as I like him wasn't really a priority for us. He would be a massive improvement, but if we are talking about the real issues it's at DM, RW, even a proper striker before. We should have targetted those areas and a bit lower profile of players who are just breaking through and have a massive potential imo. Sure, you could buy Dybala and then fix other areas, but objectively he wasn't a priority.
The only thing what's bothering me a bit was that report about him asking for massive wages as he will certainly sign for less if this is true. It could be the case, but I just don't buy it. That on top of wasting our time chasing him and neglecting clear weaknesses.
