You know what isn't bad business? Holding out for Dybala's position at Juventus to become completely untenable and leveraging our decision to pull out of the deal to lower his overall price.

I’d agree if we weren’t likely to overspend on the next ‘Fred’ signing. Dybala was a must imo; he’s an upgrade on talent. It makes no sense to give the likes of Mata & Young extensions, then wonder why decent players want to hold us to ransom.
Not signing Dybala will result in a wild overspend elsewhere in the future knowing our club & that’s the worry for me.
It’s baffling that this has been allowed to go on; its to a point now where I honestly don’t get excited about anything to do with this club anymore.
It’s worse than a terrible mess imo, we [& maybe chelsea] have gotten worse vs last season where others have gotten better or at least stood still while already having an advantage.

.If they sign Lo Celso and Sessegnon, that would be a very good transfer window for them. Think spurs fans will be very happy with that business.

Agree with this, caf is slowly but steadily going into rawk mode. If you're overly critical of players there are "are you even united supporter type of post" meaning you have to have blind faith in players and managers (rawk version of closet manc). People thinking that players would come to united just because we're united and not realising that history of the club has feck all with players choosing their next move. Making fun of other clubs in almost rude matter, not by footy banter but more as ridiculing them while those clubs are miles ahead of this version of united. And thinking that liverpool will get found out because of VAR as if they've cheated their way to 97 points in the season or thinking that injuries to one of the player up front would make such a difference when in reality they don't depent on the individuals but on the system which klopp implemented over the years.
Oh and buying 33 old manduzkic for experience is nowdays great bit of business no matter he peaked 5 years ago and is free downfall ever since. Great times to be around!

Edit: just like the season before with people telling us moaners that it’s only pre-season etc, didn’t hear you piping up in December. Suspect it’ll be the same this time round.
Ndombele, Clarke, Sessegnon, (Lo Celso or Dybala) and kept a hold of Eriksen, Rose and Alderweireld. Seems a great window from Spurs if they pull all that off, Levy backing Pochettino, sensible business considering Pochettino is one of the best managers Spurs have had. Has to win something now, it's no longer a 'project' if all this goes through.

Probably the best window of any team in the PL, especially if they get also get Dybala. If they manage to sign all their targets, I will be more pessimistic about our season. Considering how much Arsenal and Tottenham have strengthened, I'm not sure the three signings we have so far will be enough to secure a spot in the Champions League this season.

Given the state of Matic so far, it looks like we desperately need midfield reinforcements (especially considering the surprising lack of confidence in James Garner from Ole [only trusted to play 20 minutes for the whole pre-season!?]). At this point, Matic is becoming a walking strategy for opposition teams to score juicy, mistake ridden goals. Get rid. Sack ole, sign giggs (and some other damn midfielders!).
