Did all the players 'down tools' late in the season ?
It was all Pogbas' doing, don't you know? He is a virus in that dressing room, he told everyone to down tools.

Some of the guff people post on here. The only reason Ole had a honeymoon start was because Pogba was on fire, scoring/assisting on a regular basis. As soon as he stopped doing that, we went on worst run this club has been on in decades. That in itself speaks volumes about the rest of the squad. Yet, some believe it is all Pogbas fault.

Yet out best performance of the season was PSG away when he was sitting out a stupid suspension.

He has a lot of making up to do for all the guff he allowed his agent to spout, for HIS pathetic performances after PSG and influence he seems to have on certain players who have been just as pathetic.

That PSG performance has become incredibly overrated as time has passed on, it was no different to Spurs or Juve away last season where we eeked out a victory despite being battered all night.

Some of you seem to think Pogba is a hypnotist who can control how rest of the players perform, they are all professionals. If they continuously play like shit then it's on them. No matter how you want to spin it, our season went down the shitter when Pogbas' productivity dried up. Not one single person in the squad could step up to correct the tide and yet some want to bin Pogba for 'downing tools' yet mutter nothing on rest of the cowards who have been stealing a living at this club for several years now.

I have zero problems with folks calling out Pogba for his poor performances but that doesn't mean you can single him out and absolve rest of the squad their equal share of blame.

There are plenty of other players I have my doubts about most of them seem to be a part of pogba’s clique though.

You have inside knowledge? Wow I wouldn't have thought Matic, Young, Jones, Mata were part of Pogbas clique.

PSG was a great result. Was not a great performance or our best of the season. But you seem to imply we are a better team without Pogba ?

I think our performances went down hill after we picked up a raft of injuries. I think Ole realised we couldn't maintain the tactics with the fitness levels of the players and we had to adjust to the injuries with different personal and tactics.

Either that or it's all Pogbas fault.

That was the best result of the season - but it was definitely not the best performance. You're mixing those up.

It’s the only performance I care to remember from last season, spirit, determination and effort that was rarely seen.

To the other poster I was referring to Lingard, Pereira and to some extent Rashford. I still remember that picture of pogba and pereira having a good time laughing and joking in the stands while we were getting beat.

Pogba posting that tweet after Jose got the sack was also a disgrace.

Pogba was sold a vision of leaving an all conquering Juve side to come to United and become the face of a title winning team.

Instead he is the biggest name in a team fighting for 4th place every year.

It's really not hard to see why he is tempted by Real Madrid

That’s what bugs me about footballers these days, we didn’t qualify for the champions league so I want to leave to a club that did seems to be the attitude of players. Are they forgetting they played a part in us not qualifying in the first place.

Oh for the days of a Bryan Robson who had many opportunities to leave for a hell of a better salary and probably more success but stayed for the challenge and the glory that eventually came and is a legend of the game for club, country and football.

Not sure the likes of Pogba will be remembered with the same affection once he retires.

Robson is my all time hero....no Pogba won't be remembered with Robson. That being said Robson has admitted he would have liked to have moved abroad one summer but the club refused. He was disappointed.

we were winning the game 1-0 at the time, unless you think they should have a crystal ball ?

Also Adidas posted the tweet.

But don't let facts get in the way of your blind hatred.

Don’t recall that but maybe because he didn’t have his agent posting telling everyone he wants to leave.

It's in his book. Pretty sure it was Juventus. The rest is down to the changing roll of agents and social media. Sounds like you're yearning for times gone by, that's not Pogbas fault either.

I recall it as a losing game in the league cup but could be wrong about that. Seems to be a lot of tweets, comments and bullshit that come from pogba’s camp that he knew nothing about apparently.

I hope he is a different animal this season but have my doubts especially once the next window opens if we manage to get past this one without him throwing his toys out the pram if Madrid make a stupid offer.

Are you joking?

Today sums up Pogba - capable of some great stuff but fecking woeful the majority of the time. How many times did he give the ball away today? More than most players do in a season.

Can I have my 2 point warning removed because I said it would suit ‘fans’ right if he left after the dog treatment he’s received.

He’s far & away our best player, give him runners & suddenly those Hollywood balls have a purpose - shocker.

It’s one game but honestly he’s been out only bright spark for years; surely fans of the clubs should be fans of the players. . . [except Matic, there’s no excuse for Matic  ]

This is the wrong game to be bringing this type of agenda. He created goals from absolutely nothing. I accused him of downing tools in the performance thread but have no problem eating my crow the way he finished the game

So much for your "I don't have an agenda". This is the second thread you spout absolute crap about him. Go and moan in another thread or stop flapping your gums altogether.

If Pogba somehow changes his mind and stays, it will be a blessing. The fans expect a lot of him because he's our best player but the treatment he received and the way the fans talk about him after a bad performance by the team is so unfair. You can't expect one player to have 10/10 games every week and carry the rest of the team when they're playing like crap.

If he sticks with us and we add a top midfield signing to complement him in January, we can do much better this season.

He was very poor for the first 50 minutes. Against better teams he won't get away with that. But I don't think Ole is doing him any favors. Talent wise Pogba is the best player in the team, he deserves to be played in his best position. We are doing him a disservice by having in a two man midfield. Sit AP bring Fred in and have Pogba further foward and he'll contribute more assists and goals. Pogba in a that free role is the best version of this team.

so a game where we got dominated to the point opposition players were taking the piss with cute flicks and we fluked a win via controversial VAR decision was our best performance last season?

The way people build that PSG game into such a legendary myth is comical to me

Editing my own posts.
Was frustrating at times, but also made the difference when it mattered... because he’s our best player by a distance... duh.

The way people build that PSG game into such a legendary myth is comical to me
It’s certainly bizarre. It was a last 16 game against a side who’ve never won it, and people were genuinely calling it one of the best European nights in our history FFS. Hardly historical for a club like United.

Indeed. That win was fecking memorable, the performance in that win wasn't.

Correction, it wasn't our best performance, rather our best result.
