I'm glad he got to see how a United manager sets up his team. If he was still in charge we'd have shut up shop at 1-0 and we'd be bricking ourselves for the rest of the game.

“Jose, what would you do after going down to 3-0 so quickly?”

“Why I’d slump into my chair, look pissed off and say nothing, obviously”

I liked the song though.

Not a chance in hell we beat Chelsea 4-0 if he was in the dugout today instead of the studio. Thank god

Did he really say that?

EDIT - don’t bother answering, surely he couldn’t have but can never rule it out him.

Think he’s been spot on with what he’s said to be fair.

Souness may as well not be there. He's being outclassed at every turn

I remember Souness going apeshit the other day about "low block" and other terms he deemed to be the lingo of charlatans. And now he's sitting next to a much better manager in Jose who keeps talking about the low block.

We would have brought on Matic to see the game out, not brought on James and Greenwood.

Yup.

He really does have a thing for Willian doesnt he.

Not a fan of Chelseas youth it seems.

What did Jose say? The "dig".
Any juicy comments from Jose?
in the first half the winger ran inside and shaw followed him.

Azpi was high up the pitch on the touchline and the ball then made its way out there.

Jose then blamed him because maguire had to push out to him because shaw wasnt there.

He said he will have to learn to do that a lot all season.

The actual issue was rashford didnt track the fullback. Shaw had to match the inside run or you end up letting in 2 goals like azpi did against martial and rashford.

Been very fair and hasn't came across as bitter towards us which I was worried about. His football knowledge and insight is only emphasised sitting next to Souness.

Thanks but I was really hoping for something a little more controversial.

Are you sure he didn't say use the words virus and Pogba in the same sentence?

He's single handedly raised the footballing IQ of the entire SKY corporation today.

Hearing him speak, I am very glad he's not our manager any more. He talks about "meritocracy", but his actual words and comments about Willian sounds like he means his "favourites". You can clearly hear he hates playing and growing young players.

Feck this has been and his opinions. He had a chance with United to prove his football knowledge, don't care a bit what he has to say now.

Hasnt spoke much about pogba.

I think saying he will need to learn to cover luke shaw "alot this season, alot" is pretty cheeky, especially using the example he used. Was prickish

!) Then why are you watching him or in a thread discussing his punditry?
2) I'm fairly sure he had proven his football knowledge long before he was our manager.

At half time he said in a nutshell that shaw has to be covered alot. Or that's how I took it up anyway, who cares we just thumped Chelsea 4-0
Thanks. Dunno but don't have the impression that Shaw needs more protection than other fullback's.

Yep, pretty much.

Seems some posters here are still seething

We got him at the wrong time. I hope he gets a decent club soon and I would bet on him being successful.

The hate is unreal. He's a miserable twat when things ain't going his way but most of the time, Jose is really entertaining, better than most Sky Sport' pundits.
This is the thread for Jose the pundit. He isn't United's manager anymore.

Vitriol on here doesn't surprise me given its Mourinho.

Provided a lot of insight which you sure as shit wouldn't get from Souness and Neville.

Thanks. Dunno but don't have the impression that Shaw needs more protection than other fullback's.
He was essentially saying it's because the midfielders don't track runners or get into proper positions, therefore Shaw gets dragged away and the centreback ends up having to cover. People just decided it was a pop at Shaw.

Thought he was harsh on Mount, Abraham etc and waffling on about experience when Azpi and Pedro were bloody awful today. Jorginho wasn't much better either.
