Ole cannot be blamed for the individual mistakes that our players are making. In that sense, the players need to take responsibility for their own poor decision making or when they give goals away. Our two goals last week and one this week were all avoidable.

But, when we are on the backfoot, I never get the impression or feeling that Ole truly knows what to do to go on to win the game. He doesn't seem to have that ability to adapt to what's in front of him and find a way to win games. Unfortunately, I think you need that to be a manager at a top club. Maybe in time this will come, but he needs to learn quickly. Negativity is infectious and we've now had 2 poor results on the bounce. This could quite easily spiral out of control.

Like he had no say in the quality of this squad. He thinks Rashford and co are good enough to carry this team. Delusion.
Ole hands Woodward a list of players he wishes to make United players. He doesn't get a say in who Woodward chooses to pursue beyond that point.

Love Ole and believe he’s doing a lot of good work for the club which we’ll benefit from in the future but I don’t think he has the nous or experience for this.

So many entitled fans. Shut up, sit back and enjoy the ride. It’s a process, Ole deserves at least 5 years.

Matic, Andreas, Lingard, Mata, Young, Lindelof need to go and with Solskjaer also leading them. God we are so shit. How many years we should wait?

I'm afraid he just doesn't seem to be good enough. There's nothing about our football that says we're well managed. Even when we beat Chelsea, they were mostly all over us. Tactically he seems ordinary. He picks players like Lingard and Periera and focuses little of technical class. Our possession football is miles worse than it was under Van Gaal. And the genuinely talented kids aren't even getting chances. It's "kids" like Lingard and Periera who are eating up all the space.

To top it off, his record over the last 25 games is dreadful. It's becoming painfully clear that we've misfired once again. A caretaker had wronglyfully become the manager.

Cant be bothered to discuss about his position, personally since JM that kind of talk with our structure is pointless.

Game today, Lingard and Matic on, what the actual feck, again Greenwood last 10 min or so, he should swap with Rashford vs 10 man. Nobody should have a go at him for picking VL due passing from the back but we are not doing that 24/7, we play on counter because clearly we are clueless at playing football in final third, would be surprised if we would score vs 9 man, let alone 10.

On another note, please stop mentioning those players who left or are on loan, those fecks were part of the squad from last season when we finished 6th, you remember that? Stop making them like they have never been in club before and that they are some kind of solution, wtf.

Of course he would, come on now.

The squad is in an actual transition at the moment, I know that’s been said for 6 years and I get that fans are sick of hearing it but for the first time in those 6 years that it actually feels like real change is happening.

Whilst in this process no matter the manager they’d struggle, we’ve got feck all in attack.

Only an idiot would be think that a 2 man midfield can over power a 4 or a 5 man midfield. We also do not have a striker who can hold the ball so what on Earth is Ole thinking?

It isn’t.

But it isn’t workable with this squad. Not yet. I’m backing the club, for once, to play the long game on this one.
But even in a long term plan you bring in players who can do a job as a plan B. You don't just let 4-5 players go and not replace them properly.

It's the lack of attacking ideas that concern me. Mistakes will happen, but we didn't have a clue how to break down palace and now Southampton.

Plus de gea and lindolof have both made errors in the last game and are still starting
Fair points.

OgS is definitely not without blame here but people are talking as if this squad has potential above 6th/7th which it doesn’t.

Whilst I agree we didn’t have a clue how to break them down, his options at the creative 10 position are Mata/Lingard [1st teamers] & Gomes [a reserve I would rather see play].

If he was equipped with the original Moyes squad I would be calling for his head but honestly sacking him & hiring some other cheap manager isn’t the answer for me.

Romero deserves a run & Lindelof deserves dropping so his choice to pick the 2 that cost us is on him but if you check the Lindelof thread people were calling him undroppable & the clear choice even up to last night.

I though we played some nice stuff in the 1st half but the lack of star quality keeps shining through; then we can’t keep clean sheets so it compounds it all.

His 2nd half subs decision is shocking, just when we need a goal, he brings in Lingard and Matic, what the actual feck.

Doesn't matter what manager we get in this squad isn't good enough, I mostly blame Woodward and Glazers for this.

Where’s Smalling when you need him...

On a serious note I think Ole ain’t up to the job of managing Manchester United FC. He has no idea about tactics on a level that wins trophies which is where United are meant to be. I really want to back him as I love Ole but this is bigger then Ole so he should be sacked on Monday and let’s get another manager...

Sad times.

Should've signed mandzukic like he wanted, we needed someone like that in the box today. Not his fault the strikers don't finish.

Familiar pattern. Played quite well first half but unlike the top teams, we don't come in at half time two or even three up....

Such a brilliant idea to get a guy in that has absolutely no idea what to do for one of the most difficult jobs out there. But he "gets" is right?
But he went to watch u18 on his free day. He is a legend. Who cares about everything else? :wenger:

He took the one man who was playing well Scott and then put in Lingard. He should be sacked for being an idiot.

The squad isn't good enough it's obvious. Put whoever you want in charge you'll get similar results.

Now I've calmed down a little, really don't know what to make of the situation.

On the one hand I can see that Ole isn't currently and most likely never will be a manager of the quality this club should have. Inexperienced, unproven and currently appearing tactically poor.

But then in his defence, he hasn't been backed in the market to the level he should have been, no where near in fact. You get the impression he has been appointed as a 'yes' man and while he has the interests of the club at heart I just don't think he has the respect of those at the club to back him 100%.

Pointless sacking him now as some are suggesting, but a bit like how it was with Jose and Moyes it is beginning to feel like a countdown to when he gets sacked rather than if...

All 3 signings have been great. When he gets sacked, can Ole be our DOF?

I can’t work out if you’re being deliberately flippant or if you actually think this?

Ed, is that you?

Fitness, running, effort, Britishness.

How about retain the bloody ball? We need to step it up and he brings on Lingard and Matic. Wow, just wow. Bizarre management.

OGS pushed them out [and in Lukaku's case alienated him first so there was no going back], not Woodward. Not to mention Fellaini who was the sacrificial lamb to make the fans see he 'gets' it, but was actually useful.
The point is we didn't replace or improve on the ones we let go.

We need a goal. They’re down to ten men with 20min to go. A natural goalscorer on the bench and Ole gives that player 10 minutes.

Also - let’s put him on the right wing.

Ole’s decision making is shocking.

Yeah but we had to get Matic on to protect the 1-1

I like Ole and wish him all the success in the world.

The big concern for me, is that he is blind to when a player is just finished.

Ashley Young not just starting games, but Captain! Give me strength.

Matic still about.

Lingard still seen as talent

More and more each week it looks like De Geas head is gone.

It’s just not getting any better is it? We are in for a long old season

Look we have had moyes, van gaal and mourinho each flop.

We have had all managers come and flop.

There is one common factor in all of these and that is Woodward.
