I can’t see it happening either but I would like Rogers to get the job right now! We would be transformed. We may or may not be top 4 stuff but we would 100% look a better team. Rogers would be doing much, much better with the players we have.I can't see it happening, and I'm not sure I'd want it to either, but the idea is an interesting thought experiment.
Highlights gifFixed:
He does come across that wayI think it's more down to the fact he's a bit of a cringeball.
I wouldn't complain if we hired himWould anyone want him here? I've heard a few United fans say they'd take him. He's an excellent manager!
I'm still behind Ole as he needs more time to see if he can take us forward, but Brendan wouldn't be a bad option in the future. I dislike him...but maybe that's because he was at Liverpool!I wouldn't complain if we hired him
Me for one. I have mentioned before that we should have waited until the end of the season to make a decision on Ole instead of jumping too quickly. We would have had the option of Rogers.Would anyone want him here? I've heard a few United fans say they'd take him. He's an excellent manager!
A year or two ago I was joking (partly serious) on here that wouldn't it be perfect if Utd went for FSW or David Brent just so we could revive their old threads on here.Would anyone want him here? I've heard a few United fans say they'd take him. He's an excellent manager!
You're wasting your time backing Ole honestly, we're not seeing any improvement since he was made permanent.I'm still behind Ole as he needs more time to see if he can take us forward, but Brendan wouldn't be a bad option in the future. I dislike him...but maybe that's because he was at Liverpool!

So some in here officially agree with the moron Howson.
CharacterPeople call Heinze a prick because he wanted to move to Pool but now are hoping for an ex-scouse manager to take over whose favourite buzzword seems to be 'mentality'. Rodgers is the current flavour of the month/season, don't think United would be so much better off longterm with him.
Definitely not some guy who hadn’t managed a club team in 5 odd years or the bloke who’d just been sacked by a 12th place ChelseaWho were the best ones available when we hired LVG and Jose. I'm all ears.
Ahh that's the famous word. Would be interesting though whether he'd say it about the french gang.Character
Exactly, they weren't the best available they were the biggest names available.Definitely not some guy who hadn’t managed a club team in 5 odd years or the bloke who’d just been sacked by a 12th place Chelsea
I’m not sure his flavour of the month. As everyone was confident he could do great things with Leicester as soon as he was hired. So many tipped them to break top 4 this season before a ball was even kicked this season.People call Heinze a prick because he wanted to move to Pool but now are hoping for an ex-scouse manager to take over whose favourite buzzword seems to be 'mentality'. Irrelevant as far as I am concerned; if he gets the team playing well here and wins the league, that's what will count. His name should be in the mix whenever Ed decides to get his finger out.I don’t think there is any argument that Ole is a better manager than Rodgers. The issue is his past association with Liverpool, for many that would be too much. However, it cannot be denied he has done a superb job nearly everywhere he has went. Ole couldn’t get Cardiff going.
Now, I'd like to see us adopt a 4141, but it would need us to get some new personnel in.
Martial
Rashford Pereira Pogba James
McTominay
Shaw Maguire Lindelof Wan-Bissaka
De Gea
Do you not think we'll buy a couple of players in January?I think we could try something like this until the end of the season.
Rodgers was an improvement on Puel right in the line of the club's thoughts. Build a team relying on young, talented players mixed with older ones, comfortable in both attacking without giving up on our trademark counter-attacking football (in theory). Said players coming either from our academy or being smart signings.Leicester City are about the quality of Lazio. I used to want Rodgers to fail because he's a bit full of himself, but I did have the feeling that he would improve Leicester a great deal.
Don't rule them out of the title race yet.
Edit: Certainly whenever his teams lose he looks embarrassed... "I should be winning every game" attitude.
Let's be honest even before he actually joined Leicester deep down we all knew that he would be an improvement over Claude Puel who didn't do too badly really. Leicester City were capable of this.
I really don't know, I hope we do.Do you not think we'll buy a couple of players in January?
Let's be real Ole is a joke of a coach compared to Rodgers who almost got Liverpool the title. Would we want him here over Ole from a pure talent standpoint, in a heartbeat! Ole is the most unqualified coach in probably the top two divisions of English soccer. Our team isn't great with injuries to key positions, but the unqualified manager isn't doing us any favors.I'm still behind Ole as he needs more time to see if he can take us forward, but Brendan wouldn't be a bad option in the future. And we could have purchased Tielemans but our genius manager didn't want to - all for 40 million as well. That midfield triangle of Maddison, Tielemans and Ndidi have been superb for them. Rodgers have been very successful at creating partnerships like these throughout his career.
He is a top class manager. Managers just like players improve. He has gone up a level since his Liverpool days and he was already very good then. For me he is clearly better choice than Allegri. But his Liverpool past will cloud peoples judgement here. Perennially I think he will get the city job when pep leavesLet's be real Ole is a joke of a coach compared to Rodgers who almost got Liverpool the title. That being said do we really want a failed ex Liverpool coach? Nope. Many other better options.
I'm not even gonna debate this. 'comfortably' is a ridiculous way of putting it. There's no way he was 'comfortably' better than Jose. Jose won the PL the season before the one he got the sack and his CV talked for him.Conte was comfortably better than Jose at that point.
Wait until the media is briefed by Lord Woody.Do you not think we'll buy a couple of players in January?
