Sassy Colin
Death or the gladioli!
It's certainly has nothing to do with being respectful to your fellow man, or poster. You don't even understand what Socialism is.

I suspect any strongly politically-motivated 17 year old is being pushed heavily by their parents. Borderline sociopath is a bit extremeOne can only assume that they will grow up to be the worst people. Being a Tory is bad enough but being a 17 year old Tory at a time when the Tories have damned your generation to a worse future is borderline sociopathic.
I spend the majority of the time on redcafe just rolling my eyes at your posts to be honest.Just as curious to know why young people would support Labour. Unless they are naive enough to believe in their bribes from the magic money tree.
I've managed to avoid anyone like this. Must be lucky.Have you never met any of these types? All the same they're all arrogant idiots who think being a Tory supporter makes them better than others. I'd assume because their parents also have this elitist attitude.
Not fully sure about that. I agree with @altodevil that a lot of Young Tories I have come across vote as their parents do. But that is the extent of their political involvement. The cnuts who join the Young Tories organisations are a different breed.I suspect any strongly politically-motivated 17 year old is being pushed heavily by their parents. Borderline sociopath is a bit extreme
So perfect to be taken in by Labour bribes of something for nothing? Most teenagers are selfish and don't really think of others. Perfect tories.
What are you referring to specifically? So perfect to be taken in by Labour bribes of something for nothing?
And you? What are you referring to specifically?
Sorry, Col - I was just using you for the sex.Plenty of posters on here with whom I have good relationships with who's politics I disagree.
That is very fair. While I don't particularly like or agree with Jeremy Corbyn, my judgement could well be coloured by biased media coverage. Not electable according to the same right wing media which you (rightly imo) criticised. Maybe the damage to democracy has already been done, making us believe someone like Corbyn is unelectable but Boris Johnson is.
...Sorry, Col - I was just using you for the sex.
No. The point of this thread is discussion. And you?
Can't you just accept we have different views on politics and move on?
Plenty of posters on here with whom I have good relationships with who's politics I disagree.
Whilst the concept of socialism may be very laudable, the execution has, invariably, been a total feck up. The same can be said of the concept of right leaning policy. On balance, I have always favoured a Conservative feck up to a Labour catastrophe.
That's until this Brexshit bollocks came along.
If Boris gets in, it will be far more to do with working class, Northern, voters voting for Brexit, than right leaning Southern voters not knowing who to vote for in this shit show.
Magic money tree...Just as curious to know why young people would support Labour. Unless they are naive enough to believe in their bribes from the magic money tree.
It's all bollocks, there has never been more bollocks in an election campaign.Magic money tree...
Only Labour has one of those ?
Do me a favour and look at what the other parties are chucking around.
Yes. I can understand that. It's all bollocks, there has never been more bollocks in an election campaign.
Labour's proposals to renationalise everything and free broadband for all is what I am talking about.
Free media studies degrees init.Just as curious to know why young people would support Labour.
Discussion is one thing, constant personal insults is completely different. As a member of the moderation team, I would hope that you would put a stop to it. Whether you like me, or my political views, or not.No. The point of this thread is discussion.
I must have missed that one.Yes. I can understand that.
The dental check seems to make some sense if it takes some pressure off A&E.
It's fine, Labour will just take the spending out of the £350 million a week going to the NHS or just add to the ever increasing debt the Tories have dumped on the country.Just as curious to know why young people would support Labour. Unless they are naive enough to believe in their bribes from the magic money tree.
They started it!It's fine, Labour will just take the spending out of the £350 million a week going to the NHS or just add to the ever increasing debt the Tories have dumped on the country.
Brexit and the fact Corbyn is wildly unpopular. Can anyone explain to me how the Tories who have been in power for 9 years, have decimated public services, the NHS is a state, Police numbers are down and have dithered on Brexit are miles ahead in the polls? The alternatives are not great but how many personal and financial scandals has Boris been involved in now? Not to mention the unelected Cummings running riot.
How are these policies bribes? Or, to put it differently, how's it any different to any policies proposed by any political party which aim to woo voters and thus win elections? In 1945 when Labour won and created a welfare state that became the cornerstone of the nation were they bribing voters then? There's this weird belief that for some reason young people voting in their own self-interest involves them being bribed, whereas older voters who go Tory for a decent pension are incredibly rational and logical beings. I'm struggling to see the difference here? At least Labour are trying to devise policies to improve things in areas where there have demonstrably been problems. Criticise the financial math and all the rest of it - but bribes is such an inane way to look at it.So perfect to be taken in by Labour bribes of something for nothing?
This isn't the playground, Colin. Simon the Smell isn't around anymore for you to flush his head down the toilet. They started it!
I think the younger generation see the entrenched imbalances in society more acutely because they're not as desensitised to it. Stepping over homeless people with your shopping bags certainly is not normal. Although from the tone of your posts I suspect you give them a kick.Just as curious to know why young people would support Labour. Unless they are naive enough to believe in their bribes from the magic money tree.
As we all are to some degree. The relentless repetition of stories with similar underlying tones must sink in eventually. That is very fair. While I don't particularly like or agree with Jeremy Corbyn, my judgement could well be coloured by biased media coverage.

They need to grow up.
My doesn't really read newspapers or watch the news, but her bloke is pretty right wing. My mother used to work for the NHS to make it worse. The fact that immigration is framed as the cause for many problems actually caused by austerity/lack of investment, for me is also down to the right wing press.
Edit: to answer your question I meant voting Tory rather than Brexit. From my perspective,I can understand why some people voted for Brexit. I cannot understand how anyone could ever vote Tory.
Jeez, that's seriously conflicted!? If I press my mother on she issue she gets very defensive and says she's sick of talking about it.I can top you. My mum and late stepdad were active UKIP members a few years ago. She’s an absolute leaver..... She also works voluntarily teaching migrants who appear in the country with nothing basic English
wtf are you on about? From the tone of which posts?I think the younger generation see the entrenched imbalances in society more acutely because they're not as desensitised to it. I guarantee they call Raab "a nice young man".
Surprised they do not have a firm belief in trickle down economics after all this time.Just as curious to know why young people would support Labour.
She doesn’t drink (I’m 3 years tee-total)...Michelle Dewberry is standing in Hessle again, but ugh Brexit party.

What have you reported?Discussion is one thing, constant personal insults is completely different. As a member of the moderation team, I would hope that you would put a stop to it. Whether you like me, or my political views, or not.
Nothing.What have you reported?
Well it's on you then, isn't it? We can't police everything.Nothing.
The last time I reported a post, I was told I didn't have a sense of humour. Ironically enough by someone who must be one of the most boring and dreary people to be around.Well it's on you then, isn't it? We can't police everything.
You're being very whiny. If you think you've been insulted then report it. Each report is looked at and judged individually, usually by a couple of mods. We are stricter in the CE forum than the General. The last time I reported a post, I was told I didn't have a sense of humour. So I don't bother anymore.
