You would be an idiot club owner to let the last 6 months taint your opinion about Poch's abilities.

There are a lot of them. Including Levy in some aspects
I would still take him here at United.

Heaven on earth
Not entirely his fault, half of the first team squad wants out and Levy underspent for years. Would still have him above Allegri.

I think we needed to change now if we have any hope of getting champions league football next season which at the end of the day is vital for a club like Spurs. I hear what you are saying and in many ways, I agree as I do love Poch and would have given anything to see him turn it around but sadly any hope of that ended several weeks ago.
We're a mere twelve games into the season, he had ample time to turn it around.

I think it's an outrageous decision considering what he has achieved. You were in the CL final a few months ago.

I don't think he'd lost the players I think your club lost the players if that makes sense. Poch leaving isn't going to suddenly make Vertonghen, Alderwiereld, and Eriksen performing imo
Completely agree.

Levy refused to meet his players' contract demands, resulting in them becoming discontent and ultimately underperforming for the club. Unless Levy is suddenly going to adopt a new policy regards transfers and contractual demands, nothing will change with a new manager.

Ferguson, Moyes, Giggs, van Gaal, Mourinho and Solskjaer. That’s six and it’s probably a bit ingenious to include an interim manager as well as the last long term manager to inflate the number ;)
Well i stand corrected but holding on too long to a manager isnt our problem.

That I agree with and that's why a sacking is strange, why not just a mutual parting of the ways?
No one will really know, I think.

Maybe it's hard to call it quits or jumping the ship voluntarily when your team isn't doing well, maybe he thought he could turn it around, maybe it has something to do with his contract and sacking clause? Or he already has other plans in motion? Your guess is as good as mine.

Knowing Spurs, they must certainly have someone lined-up for either now or in January. Can't see them appointing a caretaker for the rest of the season.

Wow, I'm actually genuinely surprised by this. Did he resign or did he actually get sacked?

Spurs will regret this.

He must have forgotten to put the bowl of lemons in his office this week.

We're showing signs of improvement at the exact same time as Pochettino is going through his lowest period as a manager. Why the feck would we hire him right now?
Because he’s a far better manager.

Because up until the beginning of the season he was regarded as the best manager in the world we can actually appoint. Pep and Klopp will never sign for this club.

I would trust Poch to do a much better job than Ole will ever do for this club. He goes for the right type of players in the market and his style of football is more how United fans want us to play.

I can’t believe there are people who want Ole over Poch. Are you seriously deluded? A run of two wins against Premier League minnows means we are on turn, seriously? What happens when we invariably lose to Sheffield United at the weekend?

Poch just got Spurs to a Champions League final without spending any money in the year. They are on a bad run. When a manager has achieved what has done with Spurs that should buy him time in situations like they are in.

Give peas a chance.
Speaking to a few Spurs mates, there's been some personal stuff bubbling under the surface in his squad which probably hasn't made his job easier. They'd also love Jose there, which on paper is probably what will happen.

Anyone think they'd give Eddie Howe a shot? Maybe try and poach Southgate from England?

If a manager took us to the CL final no way we would sack him within 6 months of that. To some he might even be given a free pass to relegate us the following year
He did then say he might have left if Spurs had won, which was very odd.

The very expensive summer signings haven’t exactly hit the ground running.

Hope Spurs don’t poach Ole.

It was coming, Poch is still mourning his CL lost final. They should hire Allegri for the next step up, the squad is there, the foundational work laid for him is excellent, they just need men management and pragmatism to win.
Removes all romanticism from the club though, they may as well be Arsenal at that point with their new stadium and characterless manager.

He must have lost the dressing room.. that can be the only explanation.

Top 4 and a champions league final last year, he had Tottenham punching way above their weight.

What is Poch's style of football?

Who’s done that then you clown?

We are above Spurs who have been managed by the guy you want to replace Ole with. Our fans are thick as shit.
Yep. 2 points above Spurs. A club that is literally self-combusting with the 3 most important players all running down their contracts to leave in the summer and, despite that, almost no player investment.

The fans who are thick as shit are the ones who were clamouring to give Ole the job permanently in March. So yes, a lot of them are.

Spurs and city back to back in 2 weeks time lads. What happens if we lose both and Poch still available.

Seemed inevitable. Their performance levels have dropped dramatically over the last 12 months. They've lost more than half a goal per game which is incredible as personell hasn't changed.

If Poch was completely committed to Spurs then I’d say this was a mental decision.

However, he’s flirted with leaving numerous times and openly admitted he would’ve left if they had won the Champions League.

Hopefully this will be the end of Spurs as a force for a while!
