Does it matter if Wolves winning helps Liverpool to the title? It is going to happen regardless of this result. We will finish above Wolves no problem either

However, as a Utd fan we should take in absolute joy seeing mancity squirm for 80 minutes and the 50 beautiful shades of Pep on the sidelines.

Wolves just gave us a New Year Gift and it is incredible! Well done Ederson

It's December buddy, nothing has been won yet however likely it looks. City certainly not helping things.
I hear what you're saying, but even Liverpool are not capable of a feck-up of this proportion. It's as good as done, the sooner we come to terms with that the better so we can focus on our season.

Expect a bottle job from Wolves this weekend too, they'll probably lie down for Liverpool after playing their hearts out tonight.

So you would rather Liverpool win the title over City?
I said at the start of the season I was done hoping city would win or "cheering" for city. I hated having to resort to that, City can feck off.

You probably aren't from Manchester and don't know any City fans, I do and they've been unbearably smug the last 2 years especially.

Liverpool winning the league is really shit but crying about it doesn't change anything, it's inevitable. City winning tonight wouldn't have meant jack shit to the title race, it's over.

I'm going to enjoy watching City look like shit and lose. You can be miserable about it if you want, it's up to you.

I guess we shouldn't mention that we are behind Sheffield United as well...

I already expect nothing at this point TBF. Everything is just going their way.

Well yeah, but we have been behind them for most of the season.

We are behind a newly promoted Sheff U team managed by Chris Wilder.

But OGS is just unlucky with injuries... or something

I feel the same, but had a bet on a draw tonight which would have won me 400 pounds roughly so annoyed about that last goal.

Title race was long over before tonight and mainly because the current City side aren't a patch on their title winning teams of the last 2 years.

The night belongs to Wolves though, like their manager they are full of passion just a pity they will have nothing left in the tank for Sunday...

To think Arsenal fans turned up their nose at the prospect of Nuno Santo... they can only dream of playing with passion and desire like this

Ralf Rangnick.
But hes not trying to play the ball. How many times do defenders get to stand a yard out from the ball, not try to play it and let it run out when theyre not in control of it?
If Mendy isnt trying to play it then he isnt in control of it.
Just my opinion anyway
Is there a concrete rule that we know of about this? You're right, he shouldn't be allowed to just shepherd it out without being in control of the ball. I'm in full agreement there. My question is, anywhere else on the field, going through the defender is a foul no? It feels like a grey area to me.

No, your opinion is valid. Discussions would be boring without both sides.

I know plenty of City fans and I genuinely haven't really cared about City since they won the first title because they essentially bought it and isn't as meaningful. Liverpool is different.

At the end of the day, this is a Manchester United forum and you're not happy with me for not being happy about Liverpool winning the league title for the first time in 30 years. I don't really understand where you're coming from TBH.

Just saw the replay, Mendy kind of throws his weight back to block Traore and hes just not strong enough.
Just stand up straight!

I think United has a deeper, more talented squad and will add more players in January.
I hope you are right about getting some new players. I don't feel we have that much depth apart from in defense.
Matic, Lingard, Mata, Periera may look like depth, but none of them have really impressed much.

In defense though I think we have lots of decent enough options if they get games and can find form. I know people don't rate Jones, Bailly, Young and Jones, but I think they are good players when avoiding injuries. Under Mourinho we often looked much more solid than now with them. Although confidence might be low now and Ole is not the best coach to improve players behind the scenes really.

We are behind Sheffield and Wolverhampton after 19 games, and yet it's me that gets ridiculed for saying it's not good enough.

United has become a bastion of mediocrity.
You're fighting a losing battle.

If it was anyone but Ole leading us, no one would support him.

Every goal we scored yesterday must have have been like a dagger to your heart. Come on Burnley!
