You still have to pay his salary.Sheffield are reportedly preparing to terminate his contract.
Go go Ole, sign Ravel and give him a stern talking to so he fulfills his otherworldly potential. (For free, this project is not worth money)
Hardly a surpriseSo he did feck all with Sheffield United?
Mainly injured and those ahead of him fully warranting starting ahead of him. Trained well when fit just couldn’t force his way into the team. Odd they’re looking at ending his contract as it’ll cost a big lump sum and weaken their squad. So he did feck all with Sheffield United?
Absolutely. He has a much bigger upside than Lingard and we could loan him till the end of the season from Sheffield United.Buy him and play him in lingards place.
What upside? He has done absolutely nothing to warrant all the chances he has already been given, let alone another stab at playing for one of the world's biggest clubs. He is a joke.Absolutely. He has a much bigger upside than Lingard and we could loan him till the end of the season from Sheffield United.
Shouldn't be too long now.I'll be relieved when he retires so the nonsense talk of him returning can stop.
He's played all of 12 minutes Premier League football, and only two games in the Carabao cup, with 1 assist.Sheffield are reportedly preparing to terminate his contract.

That's confusing, then. If he's trained well then he ought to get some game time, even from the bench, but he's played 12 minutes total in the Prem. Even accepting that others fully warrant starting ahead of him, how do we account for not even getting bench minutes? Sheff Utd. aren't that stacked with midfield talent that the most naturally talented midfielder in the squad cannot get a few more minutes to impress. There's got to be something more to this than performance merit. After all, how can you earn playing merit off 12 mins of football?Mainly injured and those ahead of him fully warranting starting ahead of him. Trained well when fit just couldn’t force his way into the team. Odd they’re looking at ending his contract as it’ll cost a big lump sum and weaken their squad.
Because he’s not actually that good, and no footage of him playing in a youth game ten years ago is going to change that. That's confusing, then. In before people quote you with that one gif as evidence that he had Ronaldinho like potential.Because he’s not actually that good, and no footage of him playing in a youth game ten years ago is going to change that.
Hi, a Blades fan in peace here. He hasn't been injured at all! There was an interview with Billy Sharp a couple of months ago joking about Ravel's fines, lateness and poor training. He's posted various things about being 'misunderstood' and in a bad place (not clear whether he means mentally or Sheffield itself!).Mainly injured and those ahead of him fully warranting starting ahead of him. Trained well when fit just couldn’t force his way into the team. Odd they’re looking at ending his contract as it’ll cost a big lump sum and weaken their squad.
So true. Very sad. What a waste. I read somewhere that Sir Alex was more patient with him than any other player we had. Maybe he had too much talent for his head to be able to handleHe’s never coming back and no where near good enough for United. He had a lot of potential and pissed it all away on his gangster mates
Lingard has a career that Morrison could only dream of. Morrison won't make it at any standard. The continued delusion about this player is laughable. The guy is a total joke and can't make it as a pro.Absolutely. He has a much bigger upside than Lingard and we could loan him till the end of the season from Sheffield United.
It's because he is utterly useless. That's confusing, then. If he's trained well then he ought to get some game time, even from the bench, but he's played 12 minutes total in the Prem. Obviously it's not just poor performance. He must be seen as a bad influence if they're prepared to pay him off to get him out of the club.Mainly injured and those ahead of him fully warranting starting ahead of him. Trained well when fit just couldn’t force his way into the team. Odd they’re looking at ending his contract as it’ll cost a big lump sum and weaken their squad.
It actually won't cost them that much as he's only on a 1 year dealMainly injured and those ahead of him fully warranting starting ahead of him. Not much? He’s on 60 odd thousand a week.It actually won't cost them that much as he's only on a 1 year deal
Yeah he’s been on professional contracts for the last decade, so how isn’t he making it as a pro? Not achieving his potential yes, but he does make an awful lot of money through his profession. The guy is a total joke and can't make it as a pro.
Now why would we do that? Why?Buy him and play him in lingards place.
... are you serious?! That's crazy money for a promoted team on a hopeful punt. What was he on in Sweden? Not much? He’s on 60 odd thousand a week.
There is no upside. Jesus christ guys. What is it with newbies and Ravel?Absolutely. He has a much bigger upside than Lingard and we could loan him till the end of the season from Sheffield United.
Those same folks would then probably start advocating for him to take-over as manager - only marginally more crazy than talking about bringing him back to play for Manchester United in 2019.I'll be relieved when he retires so the nonsense talk of him returning can stop.
Hahahaha is he b****cks on 60k a week, he'd be Blades' best payed player!! Try a quarter/third of that... are you serious?! That's crazy money for a promoted team on a hopeful punt. What was he on in Sweden?
According to https://www.capology.com/club/sheffield-united/salaries/ he is on £25,000 per week.Hahahaha is he b****cks on 60k a week, he'd be Blades' best payed player!! Try a quarter/third of that

That makes a lot more sense!According to https://www.capology.com/club/sheffield-united/salaries/ he is on £25,000 per week.
He's probably unlucky that Sheffield are doing so well with a strict system, he'd have a better chance at Villa, Watford, Norwich IMOWhat happened to him? Is he that bad now he can't even get a game at any club?
He gets his signing fee on top of that over the duration of his contract, plus certain bonuses. Wages are only part of his earnings.According to https://www.capology.com/club/sheffield-united/salaries/ he is on £25,000 per week.
Thanks for the insight; tremendously disappointing that he can’t embrace the opportunity he’s been given.Hi, a Blades fan in peace here. He hasn't been injured at all! There was an interview with Billy Sharp a couple of months ago joking about Ravel's fines, lateness and poor training. He's posted various things about being 'misunderstood' and in a bad place (not clear whether he means mentally or Sheffield itself!).
By all accounts old habits die hard, he's been a nightmare and peed away a great opportunity. There was real goodwill and hope for the feller (in fact a bit too much expectation if anything) but he's wasted it.
He's visibly overweight and not put the work in- made 2 appearances in the cup. He was given MOM in one which was just daft...never deserved it but again, showed the goodwill and expectation. He was given it because of his name; played again the next game and was torn to shreds. Very lazy in both.
Altogether I feel sorry for the bloke. Very lucky to have another crack at the Prem and couldn't take it. I very much appreciate the player he could've been, but there's much more than footy going on, he clearly needs some proper support. But injured and training well...nah mate.
