Was worried seeing Arsenal in the first half against Chelsea because they strangled and smothered them. Done the same to us and scored twice in the process.

Here’s hoping for the hairdryer of all hairdryer treatments in the dressing room because I can’t see anything on the bench that can help.

I was somewhat on the fence, purely down to hope, but that's me completely off the fence now. You got more progressive managers coming in and imprinting their ideas on the team instantly and getting better and better from that point. You could argue we at best have remained stagnant, gone backwards if you somehow think the early results were in the slightest bit sustainable. We look clueless if we can't counter attack, there is no evidence of players being coached or in game management, over a year into his reign. He has spent a feck ton on the defence and we can't keep a clean sheet for the life of us, I can't remember a single time he was proactive and changed the game with a substitution, he just seems to sit there looking jolly when shite isn't going our way. He needs to go. You have managers like Poch who have shown they can build teams and improve players both collectively and individually, he may not be the man to take us back to the top, but that can be said for any manager. All managers come with risks, he would at least be a huge step in the right direction but instead we are going to dawdle with this decision until it becomes evident to the idiots we got running this club, potentially missing out on the good candidates currently available, which has been the case for years now.

Even if we did see some evidence of progress from Ole, the direction he wants to take this team in isn't where I want to see United. He has an insistence on the United of old etc. The game has changed, that formula simply won't work anymore when you have teams who will have players just as good, who are drilled extremely well. All teams have money, all top teams have top players now. They need to be coached.

He is a legend at the club, no-one should forget that, but his time here as a manager has been nothing short of woeful, he needs to go so we can improve. This complete lack of identity and idea was evident under Jose too, not sure why we are so insistent on making the same mistake again, especially when if anything, given Jose's track record, investing that time in him would have been the smarter thing to do, not in a manager who has a history of failure.
Excellent post! Sums it up perfectly for me.

As I keep saying, in my opinion it is clear he will be sacked soon due to simply not being good enough. So why delay?

I’ve been Ole in for ages but I just cannot agree with his team selection today, at all.

lingard is clearly just a bad player. Shaw too. should have started Andreas and Williams in my opinion. Greenwood would offer more that James too.

The first goal was created because they had a tactic of Xakha going as a false full back. Lingard should have tracked him but did not. Then everyone got dragged to the left leaving Ozil free on the right. Arteta does not have to re coach them. All he needed was to get the tactics right and at this level you do not need months to do it. Look at the way clubs play and the national teams play. Most of the time in two different ways yet they always manage to do it.

Always the same excuses. Fine margins and all that... You guys excuse him for everything.

Well maybe he should have fixed that instead of spending £130m on a defence that still can’t defend. Maybe he can buy new midfielders and still look crap too.
He’s pushing for fourth with the worst United squad in recent memory

Just heard more excuses to be honest. We should sign him the whole Man City team so he can finish 4th.

Pointless. We'll have to suffer a bit more. One of the worst managers in our history and somehow can't do anything wrong. Been shit for nearly a year.

Pushing for fourth? The league aside from the top 3 is in the worst shape possible. Its a crime that we're still so far from Chelsea. We play dreadful football without the results.

He really needs to go. I believe in the vision but not the execution. The results are just too poor.

This club is currently a laughing stock.

One of the biggest mistakes that can happen now is giving Daniel James time at RW over Greenwood when the lad is scoring & made to play next to Rashford & Martial.

James makes Rashford play super wide himself due to the way it stretches our attack out.
.
The fact he can't see these type of things is what makes me doubt his capacity as a manager.

I watched Leeds vs West Brom earlier and the quality of football was significantly better. We are SO bad.

Why does OGS persist with zonal marking on every corners? We’ve been leaking goals whole season but he can’t think of changing it to man marking.

Any manager who continues to play Lingard has no credibility to manage Man United.

He can’t coach. His tactical knowledge is limited. Wrong formation. Wrong players. All the shambles with Pogba. 12 months. Zero progress.

Time to go Ole. You’re not good enough.

No positives from the last two hours, but I expected United to drop more than one point combined on Chelsea, Spurs and Wolves today. That’s the only good news from today.

Post match thread will likely be filled with posts like "the players don't care". Fully ignoring that this guy started with Shaw, Lingard and James, and how badly coached this team still is.

I’m pro-Ole but the continued selection of utter cnuts in Shaw and Lingard will see him in a precarious position. How can you watch that and pick them again. Granted, every single player on that pitch today needs to take hard look at themselves but Shaw is an absolute plodder and Lingard we all know how shite he is.

All part of the plan. Ole's at the wheel and all that

Same old story against a team in the bottom half of the table on a big winless streak. Somehow manage to turn it around against us. Poor selection today and it was obvious those first 2 substitutions would be made at some point, so why not just at half time instead of wasting 20 minutes of the second half. Incredibly uninspiring.

I'll just go on and say it, he just might be the worst UTD manager I've seen during my time.
I agree; I have never seen an incompetent manager like him before and I thought we had it worse with Moyes but he is the pinocle of shit manager.

He's a very weak manager. I don't think he's authoritative at all, I don't see any of the so called "fitness" improvements or tactical nounce required to consistently win games.

James was our best player 2 days ago in a win. He started Lingard now that is criminal

Terrible tonight. Got so much wrong, from the team selection, to the late subs and shit tactics.

It will get much, much worse if he takes on next season. Mark my words, he won't get the players he wants and he won't settle. It will be a disaster

Quite possibly the worst manager this club has ever had, outdated Football and clueless tactics. The only coach to be directly let go by this coaching staff during Ole's tenure was probably one of the most qualified coaches on that staff but also happened to be foreign. Not to mention most, if not all appointments to the staff are under qualified at this level and also strictly British. Backwards thinking all round is setting this club back a lot.
