Rashford, Greenwood and McTominay. These guys still give me hope that we can do a turnaround.

It's not even a question, really. Pogba would've been that if not for the constant will he/won't he; I think that even marketing-wise we stepped back a bit.
They've tried with De Gea, but he was never someone to be put on the front page, he doesn't really likes the attention. Woodward also doesn't get under the spotlight unless he needs to (although it looks like he loves when his work is publicly appreciated).

By the way, I think that the creators of this video faced the same problem in needing to personalize football clubs. From United we see a lot of Rashford and a bit of De Gea & Lingard.

Has to be Rashford easily. Pogba could've been it, but he's too much drama, will fit right in at the circus that is the Bernabeu.

Is the most famous CEO in the PL (maybe in global football).

Briefs the press regularly - unlike say Abramovich, City's owners, Liverpool owners, Tan Family etc.

Has overseen every decision the club has made post Fergie - interacts regularly with the first team.

Regularly at games home and away.

The club has been shaped in his image.
I’d have to agree. We barely know the names of the two City executives that came from Barca 9 years ago yet alone know their faces if they passed us in the street, same applies to the transfer people that work with Klopp at Liverpool, or the people that Abramovich lets run Chelsea.

Rashford and hopefully Sancho in near future.

We have close to zero leaders on the pitch so it's quite difficult to emerge perfect candidate for now.

I agree with your point however you compared Ed (CEO) with the owners of other clubs, not their respective CEO's.

Based on the results in the recent years, it should be Eric of course. Djemba-Djemba.

It's Rashford.

The main issue I'm thinking about is, how long are players like Rashford, Greenwood etc going to stick around if the club continues to have its ambitions steeped in mediocrity. These are talented players, and if the club continues this path they would be stupid not to consider going elsewhere in order not to waste their careers with us, because at this rate its going to be long after Rashford has retired that we see any kind of real sustained success again, if ever with the Glazers and Woodward around

Rashford and he's really improved to be worthy of it. I wouldn't want to sell him.

Rashford earns around the same as Kane... and is vastly overrated by Utd fans (see this thread).

Don't get me wrong, he's a decent forward, but in any team aiming to actually win major trophies, Rashford would be a squad member, not the first name on the team sheet.

He won't be going anywhere.

For me it's Lindelof.

The Big Ice Man defender who instead happens to be scared of the football and more akin to a ballerina who defends by neglecting his duties and preffering not to get stuck in.

Just like that - we have a reputation of a big club, possibly forgetting, scared and neglecting its duties of modern day football but focusing on its social and commercialism instead, much more like a theatre or a Disneyland.

Whilst I believe the fanbase overrates him, I can guarantee the actual people who matter in the footballing world have a high opinion of him. Besides, I'm not talking about him being sold, he can easily run down his contract and pick up a big pay day if he so chooses and overrated or not there would no doubt be many teams that want to pick him up on a free

Before even reading your post the answer for me was Woodward, most definitely.

Definitely Woodward at the moment but if you wanted to encapsulate the way the lifeblood, success and soul has been sucked out of the club then stick any of the ugly mugs of the Glazers in the shop window

Interesting question which highlights the fact we're losing our real identity. Would like to think it's Sir Bobby who attends most of the matches with his missus. I'm only dreaming! Nice thought though. No it would have to be Rashford who I believe is our most important player and the person carrying the club at present.

Its not Woodward - he doesn't seek and he doesn't really have a public profile.

If its anyone its probably Rashford.
Due to this catastrophic incompetence, it has to be Woodward.
His terrible decisions haunt the club at every turn and overshadows all else.

Hopefully this guy soon

but it probably is Pogba if he wasn’t injured so much. So by default, it falls on Rashy. Some fans on here seem to forget about Sanchez. If he worked out the way it was meant to be, he would have been the face. Lukaku as well. We have so many talent that it is shocking what happened to them.
