Rondon's actually a decent player, wouldn't be against that at all, then again at this point I'll take just about anyone. We're in dire need of numbers.

So many forwards mentioned now I am getting confused, But Muriqi sounds Ok 13 goals 4 assists in 18 games. Sticks his nose and his toe in where it hurts, Ole.

So we're letting all these defenders go, and fine they weren't that great, but our record with injuries is horrific and we're not replacing them! We need more bodies not less!

I read he was asking for you to treble his wages. Probably off then. Will be a decent free transfer for a few clubs no doubt.
Yeah if it’s true then it’s a shame, Duffy got the boot for similar antics and he was a big part of this side

Funnily enough, towards the end of last season Newcastle had the makings of a tidy little front 3 in Almiron-Rondon-Ayoze. Not world class by any stretch, but it was functional and posed problems. Rondon was a big part of that and was very good at bringing others into play. I seem to remember him giving Liverpool big problems in one of the final games last year. In terms of what’s available, he would be a good shout and he might even surprise a few with his overall contribution.

Could obviously be baseless, but I’d be okay with his signing on a deal like the one outlined above.

I don't really understand this move. He's better than Phil Jones. Are they paying all of his wages - would be surprising.
Could not disagree more. The only thing he's better than Jones at is not playing. Somehow Rojo and Bailly get better on here the less they play.

Not only do I think he's better than Jones, I think he's way more suitable for a back 3, which is something we may end up playing more.

Don't think anybody gets a welcome now. Carrington is that closed off. Loved it when Berbatov was signed at the last minute as was at OT. Stayed up glued to Sky to see that.

Wasn't that the night city suddenly got rich, tried to sign Kaka and ended up with Robinho?

Mad. He’s been awful every time he’s played since that one decent run he had under Mourinho. Glad he’s gone. Bad defender and a bigger liability than any of our other centre backs.

With Rojo, I’m glad something like an organised hierarchy of centre halves is being assembled. If you’re here, you need to be fit good and ready to play. Jones will go eventually for that reason but he’s better than the others. You’re either first choice or back up, no more option paralysis and a wishy washy set of maybes.

I'd take Rondon short-term. We need a different type of striker, we've got enough fleet-footed runners, we need someone different.

Bowen would be sensational but think Newcastle or Villa will gazump us unfortunately.

Bailly, Williams and TFM are the replacements. We're not making any defensive signings either now or in the summer unless someone leaves.

After having an unbelievable season last year hasn’t he struggled this season?
Yeah. Everything he does is neatly executed, but he's been fairly anonymous most of the season, to the point where their fans (also partly induced by frustration about his incoming departure) booed him. Looks to me like he's still far from dominating games on his own. Put him into a functioning team that creates some space/opportunities for him and he'll probably shine though.

Inter inquire for Slimani as an opportunity for the attack. You are looking for a low cost idea within the last 24 hours.

Not only are Inter taking our dead wood, they're now actively stepping in on transfers that they know are wrong for us. Way to take a bullet for us Inter.
