Yeah that's what I thought, but Silva's been excellent this season. I'd struggle to understand why we'd be so ready to just bench Silva, as good as Isco is. We still have Gundogan as well.

Better to get replacement early than panicking when he retires/declines.
But he's also welcome to come to us, if City doesn't want him... ;)

Think Real are gonna sell a big star upfront this summer so there's gonna be a room for Isco next season.
I agree that it would be a very stupid thing to do willingly, but if he's unhappy at the club him leaving might be plausible (not least if Guardiola wants him). I also think it's limited what they can get for the ageing stars. They'd get peanuts for Benzema, Bale might get them loads of money if he's willing to go to China, otherwise I doubt there's a club that would pay more than 50m max for him and Ronaldo...not sure.

Seriously Dumbstar you're getting obnoxious now, no one can talk slightly negatively about Salah without you busting in and screaming rage. Just accept that other teams don't value Salah as much as Liverpool, understandably, and get on with life.

Isn't CR7 unhappy at Real? They could still get a good amount of money for him.

A 10 sec google produced this, I'm sure there are better outlets reporting this.
To be fair, he says he hasn't gained the same confidence with Zidane as he has with Lopetegui. More than a complain, I see it as he accepts his fault. He also says he is very motivated to gain that confidence in Real Madrid. I don't think he want to go because of not playing, when he is the 2nd player of all Madrid with most games this season. And currently champion of everything.

Salah better than Isco?

He plays for Liverpool and Isco for Real Madrid. Even if Isco is not in the main 11, he had been playing a big amount of games in a great level
Salah had not win ANYTHING, Isco had win everything, repetitively
One plays for Egypt, the other for Spain and when he does, he does it consistently and very well
Salah started to look good the last year. Isco was a very good prospect in Valencia, shinned in Malaga and had been in a great level for Madrid since signed for them

Isco and Asensio are the future of Madrid and I am gutted because they almost signed for barcelona.

If that surprises you, you should go check out the Salah thread.
There are people claiming he's better than Neymar and Kane
Or maybe they were just being sarcastic, I really couldn't tell

Well, I understand the hype. Is a very exciting player to watch and he might end having an amazing career that might reach the level of this hype, but isco had been at this level and way longer. And they have the same age

Or maybe he'll have good stats for most of his career rather than a couple of seasons ;)
Sane is a great player and he should have 'good' stats every season. As should Sterling, Isco, Mane, Martial, etc, etc. :)

Isco is vastly overrated. If 20 yo Rashford had a season like this he would be dragged over the coals for it.
He'd be a good signing but I wouldn't have sky high expectations for him.

Makes sense. I'd rather he'd stay at Madrid than go to City, that's for sure.

I don't think Pep is guaranteeing anyone anything. David Silva has been one of the league's and world's best players for several years. He doesn't rely on pace and he's not showing a sign of decline so it would be a huge risk to dismiss him now.

Hope you are not insinuating that Salah is better than Isco because if you are, you are falling into the same trap that many fell into when they suggested that Dele Alli was the better player compared to Isco. Players have terrific seasons mixed with not-too-good ones but before you claim that one player is better than another, it would help a great deal if you look at what they have managed to achieve in the course of a few years at least rather than relying on data from a breakout season. Isco has done it at the highest levels time and again. When Salah comes close to this, only then will I begin to entertain the conversation.

I agree.Maybe the rumors about leaving are true but also he/the club can be beating around the bush to decide later that he'll stay,as Ramos

Wow, I look forward to 30+ PL goals from Sane next season.
Salah at the same age had managed a maximum of 7 goals in a single season and that was in the Egyptian PL. Salah is having a fantastic season but to date in his career this is his exception not his rule, so it’s hard to use this as a definitive benchmark for him. Let’s wait and see. I think Sanè will go on to have many seasons better than Salah, clearly not this one, but every player can hit a purple patch.

If Rashford had a season like Isco did last year he'd be commanding a similar fee to Mbappe.

He's a superb player, may have struggled to recapture the same kind of form as he was producing last season, but you could say that of the entire Madrid side.

If Real are serious about acquiring Hazard from us I'd be quite happy if we got Isco in return.

He is one the one player I can think of who would improve us by leaps and bounds in our attacking play. What a talented gifted bloke. Very good technically. It's a pleasure to watch him play.
One of my favourite players, looks like he is available this summer as well by reports. Should throw everything at him, would transform us hugely up top.

Very little end product for Madrid though. Good technically but isn't a forward player, or wide forward, so would have to be fit into midfield somewhere.

I would expect him to have more than 5 assists and 5 goals in the league, that is a pretty poor stat considering the team he is in and does play as an attacking midfielder. Seems like Zidane treats him as a bit of a ‘Mata’ type player by subbing him off to change games regularly and giving him the last 20 minute of games off the bench.

He's one hell of a player. Didn't see the game last night but saw he went off injured. If he falls behind Asensio in the pecking order could we sign him?

I think he doesn't look motivated in Madrid any more. Personal opinion ofc, I could well be wrong.

I'd like him here because he's a very technically gifted player, but I doubt Real would sell unless he really kicks up a major fuss and I wouldn't even know where exactly to fit him either. Maybe Mata's role in RW but coming inside? Chances are extremely low regardless.

If we were to get a RW player, I'd rather get one that fits Mourinho's style which is high levels of energy and athleticism. A Willian would work better than an Isco the way we seem to play.

Maybe we can get him on loan in January. We need a number 10. Not fully sure about his attitude though.

Possibly to be offered to United in part exchange for Pogba. His performance this season began well, but has tailed off to mediocre. He has 1 goal in 9 La Liga starts. No assists. He can't even manage 1 shot on goal, or 1 key pass per game. On current form he's not worth £20m. God knows what valuation Real will put on him. Bright spots are: good injury record, still accurate passer (like Mata & Lingard!), he still dribbles, lot's of United fans remember him fondly from days when he was much better.

Signing faded stars never works for United, apart from Zlantan, which lasted half a season.

If Madrid wants Pogba, they can give us Odegaard plus 80 million.

I would take Jovic plus maybe 30-40m cash. Maybe even less. Pogba is not as valuable as we think.

Remember his breakthrough season at Malaga. Thought he was nailed on to be Iniesta class.

I doubt they value him under 50M.
Also, the word in spain is that he's not very interested in practicing too hard, so good luck managing a player who didn't feel like football was a priority at Real Madrid, under Zidane with very experienced teamates like Ramos, Benzema, Kroos etc.
