Any of the main series Pokémon games. Bar maybe some of the 'third' versions they used to do, I always clock into the 100's of hours on them. There isn't a real comparison bar some of the free to play games that people clock thousands of hours on these days, but I guess you didn't really 'buy' them...
This too. I don’t know if you’ve ever played any of the side games as well but Mystery Dungeon is a good shout- I had the red version and even after the main storyline and the credits there are still around 30 or so new caves to explore

Facility on 00 Agent was insanely difficult, the enemy soldiers just kept spawning whilst that stupid bitch took forever to hack the computer!
 that used to drive me mental, trying to obliterate hundreds of enemy soldiers with an KF7 Soviet while she farted about  used to think the Jungle level was mad as well.

Skyrim - on the ps4 I spent weeks on it. Bought again on PS4. On about level 70 at the moment.

SWOS 98/99 played all sensi games but this one with the curved ground pass and developing youth players had me hooked for years.

PES - Would play each version for a solid year until the next one. Through to PES12, then sold my soul to FIFA.

Command and Conquer, hammered dune2 on the Amiga and then moved onto this. Red alert was my fave. I bought the whole set a few years ago but don't have a gaming PC. Maybe time to invest...

Warlords, turn based simple strategy games. Used to have sessions on this with my mates where we would gas entire weekends.

Medieval 2 total war, though most of the others as well. Europa Unversalis and Civilization in similar vein.

For console games probably Street Fighter 4 for hours played and Witcher 3 for how fecking brilliant it was.

Edit: wait, it's Starcraft, forgot about the decade I played that.

Man that would be awesome...I still have the 64 and my brother and I played it the other month and even though it's slow, it is still pure nostalgia feels to be playing it. It was the best around back in the day by a country mile for me.

Heroes of Might and Magic III. A mate and I wasted so so many hours on it instead if studying.

How do people keep playing GTA5, gets repetitive quite quickly and the single player was also kinda average.

Path of Exile - free to play, constantly updates with new leauges and gameplay mechanics every 3 months and large expansions every 6 months or so. Amazing and complex ARPG.

I mean I got the Witcher The Wild Hunt game of the year edition with all the DLC for £19.99 and it was immense but Monster Hunter World. Put 100’s of hours in to it and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Counter Strike was amazing, there were a bunch of us at school who put ridiculous amounts of time into that game. Then they ruined it.

Other big ones for me are Gran Turismo and pretty much all the GTA games, which I lose large chunks of my life to every time.
CS is more popular now than it's ever been. When you say they ruined it I'm assuming you mean the change from CS 1.6 to CS Source. CS:GO is just better CS 1.6.

Think I had 25 days playtime on MW2. I used to just hammer it everyday after school.

I suppose FIFA.

I paid 35 quid for FIFA 20 and will play it pretty much every single day for a year.

PES 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 all on the PS2.
So addictive and oh-so brilliant.

I've never played a Mario game before,though.

Wait, what!!? How? It’s literally the poster game for not just Nintendo but gaming as a whole!
Never played a Mario game to any extent. Maybe a level or two on super Mario and the odd lap on Mario kart. Not a Nintendo fan.

From my youth, probably Civ 2, AoE, AoE2, Age of Mythology, Ghost Recon, Pokémon Yellow just for the sheer amount I played them.

More recently (since I became an adult) - Crusader Kings 2, Witcher 3, Skyrim.

Pubg. It's a mess of a game but I'm still playing it regularly now.

Any iteration of Football Manager always runs into the hundreds of hours and I have over 400 hours in Battlefield 5 so far.
