Important win. It's nice to be able to relax for the last 15 mins. Hasn't happened often enough this season.

Reasonable performance, nothing more. We still have that infuriating habit of a completely ragged 10 minutes somewhere in a match and we always look like conceding. That has to be sorted out.

Plenty of good today though. If anyone wants to question the importance of players, then witness what Bruno did in the last 15 minutes of the 1st half. He'd identified that space that the full back was leaving and started to drift over there consistently. It opened up space and opportunities and we scored from it. Intelligent footballer, and something that we simply wouldn't have seen from the options we've had in that position this season. This 3pts is down to him.

That aside? Shaw and AWB were good. James looks more comfortable and direct from the left. Fred had an off day. Greenwood quiet but deadly. McTominay back.

It's been a great week for us. All the in game moaners and drama queens drag this forum down and embarrass themselves.

Bruno is literally going to double our goals created and scored on his own. An absolute steal of a signing. Worth double the amount we paid for him instantly.

We started slowly, as usual. We need to address that urgently, as we can go 0-1 or 0-2 down in games.

Excellent performance in the 2nd half, we’re very much a confidence team, and blossomed nicely

Really good result in the end. Second half was much improved over the first. It's a game that we gave typically struggled with and not only have we come away with a win, we've got 3 goals.
No coincidence that Fernandes was involved in all 3 goals I think. Did very well to win and score the penalty.Great pass that eventually led to Martials goal and linked up with with Greenwood for his goal.
Speaking over those last 2 goals. Fantastic goals. Bit of magic from Martial for his one. One move took the entire defence out of the equation and great lobbed finish. And Greenwood with a great finish too after starting the move himself with a nice run roo.
Elsewhere I was impressed with James, Fred and happy to see McTominay make a comeback. Clean sheet is very welcome too.

France - can't win anything with Swedish turnips
Comfortable win. Got the correct score.

Enjoyable to see passes going forward. Bruno MoM. Very nice goals from Martial and Greenwood.
Shaw good match.
Other than the beginnings of both halves with the defence dwelling on the ball and giving soft possession to Watford was a fairly good performance.

Hope the cone on a string was directing traffic in the car park, never to be seen again.

Suspect not everyone is happy though, especially the most over-rated manager ever Fanboy Club.

Onwards and upwards, McT back and hopefully Pogba not too far away.

3pts, our football before we score is pure garbo, if we manage to score first somehow, even on mussles, counter attacking mode kicks in and more often than not, we score more when opposition opens up. Good win, thats about it.

Glad for a kid, great goal by Martial, to bad Ighalo couldnt score. Next

No lingard and Pereira.
Why we didn't sign Bruno in the summer?
Magic goal from Martial.
Shaw was everywhere in defence.
Greenwood the best finisher in the club.
At last we can break down team that sit deep.
Very entertaining match.

It looked like one of those games, they pressed us really high up and our guys were flabbergasted. Not sure how Deeney never got that shot or pass away for an easy goal. There's a reason why Watford have the lowest goals scored, I guess. Then when they did score, there was just resignation for me and I had no idea it was under VAR evaluation. Suddenly NO GOAL! Saved again! Then Martial did something weird with his feet, no idea what, and it was a lot more comfortable from there.
Yeah that VAR call changed the game for us, cause we went on to score soon after. If it was 1-1 it could have gone any way.

Shaw was great, Bruno as well. If we can score first, we really are a different team - solid three points
Agree with you that Shaw has really improved the last few games. Competition from Brandon has really spurred him on. We need that competition in all positions.

Just imagine If we had Lingard/Pereira/Mata in place of Bruno, what this game would be.

*shudder*

Felt like one of those performances that we took for granted under SAF towards the end of his tenure (circa 2009-2013). Many times we'd have gone in at 1-0 or 0-0 having been under pressure only to come out in the second half and make the scoreline more comfortable.

Watford set up well in the first half, targeted Fred wth pressing and none of our players, nor Ole reacted to it so he kept getting caught and we kept trying the same thing which was insane. Sorted it second half and we had much less trouble.

Struggled at times against a stubborn and confident Watford side but ultimately the scoreline told and certain players had great games. Bruno was mega, Shaw excellent and Dan James looks more comfortable on the left once he's told to stay out wide.

Hopefully Ole learnt from the first half performance and sets us up more like we did in the second.

McTominay back is a big boost and another clean sheet is great news too.

If Ighalo had scored, just like against Chelsea then it would've been the icing on the cake. I just hope he gets one sooner rather than later otherwise it'll remind me of signing Michael Owen and watching him miss chance after chance.

Yeah. Everton will be tough, but maybe getting pasted against Arsenal can dent their confidence.
Spurs hopefully will draw against Wolves, and well, tough to see Chelsea lose against Bournemouth, so as long as we make it through this next tough patch we have a chance.

We're 9 points behind Leicester now, still have them to play.

3rd is still on if we keep our shit together, keep Fernandes fit & get Pogba back on the pitch.

Bruno a standout today so I don't think we're going to miss Pogba now. Shaw and James had good games too, about time. Great to see McT back at last. Fred was a bit loose but he's had to carry the midfield lately so we can cut him some slack. Lindelof is fine as long as he's not put under pressure (which he is in most matches). We need Bailly back asap. Great finishing on all three goals (loved the little jump by Bruno).

Can we just win the next one too please. Back in the slog for top four. Get in!

Nice to win two on the bounce with some decent football as well. Fernandes was my MOTM, with a special mention for Shaw. A few dodgy moments at the back which a better team would have punished.

Matic had a great game, picking passes left and right.
Fred had some bad passes that could have cost us
Shaw wad good
James is exciting but still not making smart decisions with his passes
Bruuuuno is class
Martial was average apart from that chip. Should have been more around the box to get on the end on some nice crosses
Greenwood was excellent

All comes down to the lack of confidence and fear we seem to have when we enter the pitch. Need a goal to settle us down..

How that changed from an exceptionally poor start into Luke Shaw stood still with the ball three up!

Very lucky to not be 1 or 2 down and then facing the roadblock along their box.

So very happy with that result; but it's imperative we start much better than that and stamp out the sloppiness.

Fernandes looking every bit the catalyst for our revival. Shaw fighting for his spot! Ighalo to get off the mark next game.

So Bruno has not even played 5 games but he's looking like the difference between a possible top 4 push and mediocrity.

He was phenomenal today.

Took a while to get going but was pretty good in the end. Bruno was different class today, looks like he is worth every penny if he can keep this up.

The midfielders are still not finding Bruno and making passes when he was just behind Martial in the first half. Once that opens up, Bruno will be scoring few too.

I noticed that too but the team will get used to working with him.
