I think it's a foul anywhere else on the pitch. Ramos was stupid to pull him like that
No he wasn't. To begin with there's no push, legs get tangled as they run. Contact is accidental, but it is a foul and a red card.

It's also a much better scenario than conceding the third

Juve might as well play their subs in the return leg. Go out now and focus on the league rather than go one round further and get humiliated by the first top team they play

That looked a pretty clear red card for Ramos I thought. Surprised so many think it was harsh

Get the feck in. Thought we'd City'd it up, controlled the game, gave away a stupid goal, looked like conceding a 2nd.

I slaughter the midfield of Gundogan and Rodri on here but the former had his best game for us. I think Madrid's midfield being as slow as ours really helped.
Only half-time though. Etihad will be tough.
No it won’t this Real side will do nothing in Manchester especially with Ramos out. Pep will start Aguero in that game go for the kill early on the tie is over

On their day I’d say City are the best side in it. They didn’t even play that well in Madrid tonight but always use the ball so well.

city deserved the win, maybe even 0-2 would have been a fair reflection, but that red card wasn't correct. he touched him as much as jesus touched him for the goal.
why wasn't var used for the red?

Weirdly I don't think it would be, I think the ref got swayed due to it being last man... He's been telling players to get up for similar things all game

There's barely any contact and Jesus is going down before he's even touched. It's a clear dive.

I thought the goal was a push on first view but it clearly wasn't... And if this ref is saying that contact is fine then he'd got to be consistent here.

I was so happy with the 1-0, and quite pleased with the team. Terrible mistakes, both Ramos and Carvajal. This looks totally over. Time to focus in la liga

Real's dominance must be over, the amount of fouls that were given against them tonight, almost unheard of previous years
Their midfield is really, really slow, later to everything. They were too slow for Gundogan and Rodri who themselves are a pair of snails. Liverpool would absolutely bully the shit out of them.

He was trying to avoid a goal against his team at the end of the game. I don't think it's stupid at all.

I mean there's barely a tangle, and there's only contact because Jesus is slowing down / taking a dive.

Yeah they got away with been poor in the league for the most part last year, not happening this year. They’re finished as a “top” team, cycle is coming to an end for them.

He wasn't even that far away, some of you are acting like it was Ole vs Newcastle. He could have gotten on his left side and nudged him out, instead he got desperate. It looked like the most obvious foul live, and im pretty sure VAR didnt have enough to overturn it.

Eeeeeh...yeah. although gabriel jesus is really good in his goal, great move to shake off sergio

Ultimately, we made far too many mistakes. And we're toothless in attack if Benzema isn't on song

This team needs serious injections of attacking quality and depth

Bayern and Barca.
Atletico, PSG, Dortmund too if Atletico finish the job at Anfield. Truth is this City team could lose to anyone left because of the mental explosions we have at the back.

He didn't. I can't believe i have to point this out to someone who saw the play. He's running, tries to go behind to avoid a collision and unfortunately gets too close and clips his leg

I cant imagine Atletico going through. It's a miracle they scored in the tie at all. Liverpool will annihilate em at Anfield.
