Luckily Liverpool are so far ahead it will be impossible for anyone to ever suggest Liverpool haven't won the league this year. If it were closer then you could make another argument, but Liverpool have won the 19/20 Premier League, even if it gets postponed or voided.
No I just think it's embarrassing the way that some people are suggesting Liverpool should be denied the title when it's obvious they were going to win it. I thought United were better than that.
When I was in my 20s I was at a party in London... there was a beautiful, tall, Dutch model there, in her late 20s, utterly stunning.
We spent ages talking and it started to become very clear that for whatever reason, she liked me. She was holding my hand and wouldn't leave my side. She then asked how far away I lived from the party and if she could come back with me.
Unfortunately, about an hour prior to us hitting it off, I thought it'd be a good idea to neck copious amounts of crystal MDMA, which was extremely potent and as the evening went on I became, shall we say, more 'psychedelic' minded than libidinous...
I had no idea what the fecking feck I was doing and after stumbling around the party like Steven Gerrard trying to intercept a misplaced pass to Demba Ba, I stumbled home, back to my lonely room with my dog looking at me and probably thinking 'you twat, not again'.
What should've been a XXX porn scene ended up more like an out-take from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
Now, the above story is true. But what wouldn't be true, is if I tried to say that I DID shag the gorgeous Dutch babe... because, well, I didn't.
I
could've, she was right there for the taking... but I
didn't.
And that's how this season would be remembered for you if the PL is voided - you could've won it,
but you didn't.
And besides, it's worse for Utd - we're being denied the EL and the F.A Cup, you're only being denied a PL title, and trust me, they come and go - well, not so much for you, but for us.
Also, another way of looking at it, is that if you do fail to win it - yes, you'll feel a bit mopey for a bit, but you will've brought so much joy and amusement to the rest of the League at a time of National crisis.
And that, my scouse friend, is a beautiful thing.
