Via their homepage?Sainsbury's are apparently giving special deliveries to wrinklies, my mum got moved up from 3 weeks to two day delivery. That was today.

He has quick yet gradual road map to enforce stricter measures of control.Up to now, people have been gathering in numbers, continuing social contact with people outside of their household, certainly around here anyway. I know a few people having "corona parties", which is wild. It was in my local news today that some lads have hopped the fence of the closed sports centre and are playing football on the astroturf pitches. The beer garden at the closed pub up the road from me was full on Sunday with people taking their own food and drink, as some sort of stoic act of defiance. I've not seen that pub as busy as that even in the height of summer.
Car boot sale season just started up around my way this weekend too. I saw pictures of the local one to me yesterday, it looked heaving.
Or people will just to their mates or see their family.
It all seems a bit "feck you I won't do what you tell me", and I don't see it ending until there is genuine force. I do hope I'm wrong and people begin to get a sense of the severity of this, but this is the same general public that were punching each other for toilet roll, so I'm not sure they will.
Yeh, that's right...boo hoo I don't know what I can do can the nasty government tell me please but make sure I don't need to go to work ok.No, the lack of detail is a big problem. You have to know exactly what you can and can't do.
I would imagine banks would remain open as that was the case when Italy went into "lockdown", though likely in a reduced state.are banks considered an essential service or will they close too?
They said that there would be food drops for the over 70's and those that are vulnerable and they are supposed to start this week.Anyone know what OAPs can do about getting shopping if they can’t get deliveries? Tesco cancelled the last one on my parent in-laws. They are 73 and 81 ffs
Banks are open!are banks considered an essential service or will they close too?
Hopefully the army is deployed to supermarkets to stop the madnessI think I'm being thick here but I don't see what the new rules do that are different to the old except police officers can disperse groups of more than 2 and ask for proof of there are more than 2 they are of the same household.
It doesn't stop people taking the piss going to multiple stores in their cars. It doesn't stop people seeing their friends/families in their homes. It doesn't stop people going about all day and claiming 'exercise'.
How to get in touch? They said that there would be food drops for the over 70's and those that are vulnerable and they are supposed to start this week.
Don't know about the UK but moving places was branded as an essential activity in Belgium (assuming you have transport in place already, I'd guess). If it's anything like here, they'll come out with a FAQ tomorrow or so with answers about what will or won't still be possible.I have to move out of rented accommodation this weekend to a new place. I assume I’ll be allowed to do that..I hope taxis are still available...
No, as it's not essential and family gatherings are prohibited anyway.I'm due to go up to Manchester for Easter. I'll be driving up, but my brother catches the train.
I guess that isn't happening?

Your mates right - you can't build a new 2 bedroom apartment from your home so you need to go to work to do it. Building sites are fine so get on with it laWhat's the craic with building sites then? My mate seems to think this will change nothing at all for him.
Very essential but do they need branches or can all banking be done online?are banks considered an essential service or will they close too?
You got my vote!Shoot on sight policy for those who sneak out
Yep.It will be much longer than 3 weeks.
It's being reported as essential work only.We make car parts but Bo Jo didn't say essential work he said work that was necessary. What does necessary mean?
Cool, that was really helpful.Your mates right - you can't build a new 2 bedroom apartment from your home so you need to go to work to do it. Building sites are fine so get on with it la
Not everyone has access to online or mobile platforms so some branches will remain open.Very essential but do they need branches or can all banking be done online?
He said one bout of exercise a day. What happens to walking dogs etc? Unless everyone's form of exercise involves walking the dog.Apparently it's been rounded to one hour of brisk exercise but can't remember him saying that.
I wouldn't have imposed such strict measures before someone even died from the virus. Unfortunately, there's a balance between the impact on lives and the long term economy and difficult decisions have to be made and sometimes (in hindsight), everyone's an expert. There were known cases in the UK as far back as January.
There had been a death and over 100 cases just over 2 weeks ago. Tell me the harm in bringing these measures in 2 weeks ago?
They've got the Civil Protection doing it where we live, and people don't even have to pay until the restrictions are lifted - the Mayor's made a personal guarantee to the shopkeepers (there's only one food shop and one pharmacy). They said that there would be food drops for the over 70's and those that are vulnerable and they are supposed to start this week.
But far from the truth. Your rules seem very similar to ours and 90% of the construction business has been put on hold since the "lockdown". I wouldn't be sure about it at all, it's not essential work.Cool, that was really helpful.
I always picture you as literally Frank Drebin (the great Leslie Nielsen)... so now I picture you as Frank Drebin with a bad, homemade haircut!Did my own hair today. Instant regret.
Is he a moderately wealthy Boomer perchance?Any tips for convincing my boss that our work isn't as essential as he thinks it is so I can do nothing by play video games for the next month or so?
It's not essential work. He shouldn't be going.Cool, that was really helpful.
Some branches will definitely have to remain open. With reduced footfall and a likely increase in people contacting helplines, I'd imagine some branches will be closed and some staff temporarily redirected to other roles.Very essential but do they need branches or can all banking be done online?

Doing that before announcing immediate measures for the self employed/builders?It's being reported as essential work only.
It will mirror the key workers list I'd imagine and will be released asap
Not in England the only official person who has said essential workers was Nicola Sturgeon. Labour have ask for clarification on what Boris means by Necessary. Sky seem to think that if you can't work from home you can go to work but it's not clear. It's being reported as essential work only.

Sorry man dunno, not sure if it's because she had proof of her age or something.Via their homepage?
My step sister and I work for banks. I can work at home/laptop bit she works in a branch ... said today the staff told their boss they'd only stay if he marked out two metre marks and let a couple of customers in at a time.are banks considered an essential service or will they close too?
It literally can't be enforced. At the worst of my Eating disorder I'd be out walking/jogging for a whole day. Technically that still counts as once here.I'm curious, i cycle regularly and even i'm confused as to what constitutes once per day....a 6hr bike ride? So many loopholes i can find already.
So it's stay at home and not provide for his family? It's not essential work. He shouldn't be going.
You've obviously got a dog in this fight. But far from the truth. Your rules seem very similar to ours and 90% of the construction business has been put on hold since the "lockdown". I wouldn't be sure about it at all, it's not essential work.
