I get it, my point is that for these moments they're great but they're forgotten very quickly by the public. I see it every day and they deserve more than applause, they deserve working conditions to allow them to do their work. It's like asking them to juggle with one arm tied behind their back. I mean my other half hasn't been tested yet and she's coming into contact daily with potential carriers, nothing miserable about it - it's reality sadly.That's a very miserable way of looking at the clapping and not accurate at all. At this moment in time the NHS is under extreme pressure with staff feeling pretty demoralised. Things like this can help keep you going at that point. When you're exhausted, upset, doubting what you do. Just that little bit of public acknowledgement makes it a touch easier to pick yourself back up and carry on.
