Damn. I copied that only 20mins ago. It must be due to the fast pace of information coming out
Possibly. Like I said, I posted that right as the headline flashed, so the full article might have been getting edited as they flashed the headline.

Either way... they’re fired and the FBI is now involved.

The video of the Minneapolis cop choking out the poor man is horrifying. One of the worst police brutality videos I have ever seen. Bystanders were literally begging the cop to stop. Still he continued knowing there are witness around and he is on camera. Its straight up murder, there is no justification at all. I guess he knows killing a person of colour would result in no consequences.

Getting a little ugly up in Minneaoplis. I should note looking at some videos, not all the protesters are this peaceful.

I'm usually against the voyeurism you see with people and their camera phones. But in cases like this I'm glad someone was filming. This would have been brushed under the carpet in the past.

Cop Chokes Man To Death In Minneapolis

Nothing short of murder and they should be charged accordingly. Just waiting for smart-ass cop to give some bullshit explanation about appropriate use of force, correct procedure, cops have a difficult job etc., etc., etc.

I hope somebody makes proper use of those AR-15s over there. Those pigs deserve everything they get.

Just keeps going on and on. How many times has the mobile phone brought people to justice? It's frightening to think what life was like for black people 20/30 years ago.

I'm not sure why the cops aren't under arrest. If a black guy had knelt on a cop and killed him he'd be in jail. Why is it different here?

What was the guy being arrested for?
I've seen people asking this, like "cop killer" or "rapist" would be then be an acceptable answer to use such force.

At the end of the day the police work for the public to keep them safe. This man is CLEARLY contained and not resisting or being physical at this point, they have complete power over him.

It isn't like he's giving him a few sly digs as payback, he's quite clearly trying to choke him on purpose and knows exactly what he's doing. Watch the cop look down at him multiple times to see how he's struggling. Even when the crowd are saying he's not responding he doesn't shift his position once to let up.

This POS is a straight up cold blooded murderer.

The whole city is attacking cops all over the place, city is going to burn for a while because of that. Lots of videos all over reddit. Really hope some justice is served. If he gets let go, the streets will sort him out quickly.

If this is happening in broad daylight in a big city on what looks like a busy street with people watching and filming and calling them out, I don't even want to imagine what happens at other times.

They have released CCTV footages. None of them show the man resisting arrest. Disgusting lack of respect for human life.

Scary isn't it. You've got to imagine this isn't the first guy he's murdered.

It's like they didn't treat him as a living being. You wouldn't choke cattle marked for slaughter like that, much less for so long. For all the rightful outrage about shootings they at the very least are still volatile high pressure situations, where there is at least a shred of a benefit of a doubt that allows you to make a bit of sense of them. But this is something else entirely. And it says something about the relationship between the police and public that four officers aren't fazed at all by being filmed choking a subdued man who says he can't breath. At that point already they have taken things waaay too far already and proven themselves unfit for duty imho.

Means nothing. Eric Garner was choked to death for selling loose cigarettes. The head of the Ny police union called it a perfect arrest. That's what we are dealing with in this country and that's why I shed no tears for dead cops, they are a fecking criminal gang in their own right.

And their actions aren't? You just watched one of them murder someone public while the other three watched. And this is just one of fecking thousands incidents of brutality and criminal actions. Those cops are fecking pieces of shit and guaranteed they will be protected by a blue wall. Is it right to die in that manner?

So, so many extreme-right wing reactions to this event in Belgium, makes me sick to my stomach. Goes from "he probably deserved it" to people coming up with pointless (and wrong) statistics, to "sad accident but the police need to be tight on these kind of people". Not one of them seems to grasp the problem, every one of them compares the situation to the police violence incidents in Brussels, and not one of them feels like the cop did anything wrong here, it seems. Sigh.

I don't wanna live in a country full of these idiots.
