It's time to think the unthinkable - Liverpool could throw away the title

Don't think they'll throw away the title but their performance just now was terrible. Without Robertson and Milner they struggled to play down the left; without Salah they lacked creativity on the right. Their midfield was not known for creativity and the game was pretty easy for Everton.

Putting a bit of realism to this fantasy thread ...

for anyone daft enough, City are 100/1 to win the title.

They've not been great for a while now, obviously the extended break has changed things in that respect.
They obviously won't throw it away but I can see them dropping more points before they win it.
They are too far ahead to lose it but it would be funny as feck if they got a couple of dodgy results and started panicking

Let's not do this to ourselves, they will win the title. For me there is hope in the fact they have not been all-dominating, they had an extraordinary ability to get league wins in what turned out to be an ordinary league with many of the better teams in rough transitional patches. Also though Scousers may relish the role reversal we can also console ourselves that the invincible season and multiple trophies to crown this side one of the very best ever in England didn't happen, and anybody trying to pretend this mob is greater than any of Fergie's top sides can be rightly laughed out of the building. Pretty thin gruel it must be said, but when you're nowhere near the top table yourselves you have to lick your wounds and take your pleasure where you can.

All that being said you've got to take it on the chin, they are deserved winners and the hilarity in their lack of a PL title is almost over.

I think we'll lose 1 and draw probably 2 or 3 more games. That means we'll still win 4 or 5 games. A bit of a fizzle out going for the record but number 19 nevertheless. Hope we do it before any further lockdowns.

Tick tock  You remind me of Mel's dad in Early Doors, so did the City fans who were doing it in 2012.

They will win the title, no problem, lets be serious you guys.

Though, at the shape they look to be in, probably wont break 100 point record.

You mean 18.5 due to the asterisk.

I'll trust what Klopp said

The bigger the asterisk the better. Not only a record season but one that will go down in history. The sacrifice that the world just went though should be enough reason to give this extrodinary season an asterisk. Winning the league during a crisis we have never seen before will let future fans know what Liverpool have done here was work the impossible - a record season with incredible adversity. Amazing 30 years of the Prem and our only win( so far) will be the one most remembered.

They will win the title this season but they won't be anywhere near the same force next season. Unless they are willing to spend but I see a side who's reaching an end to their cycle and I can see a similar fate to what happened to Dortmund. Unable to motivate players after success and his style of football is very demanding on players

Noone thinks they will lose it, so everybody is reacting to nothing. What most of us hope is that they have a complete wobble and need to get say 2 points from the last 3. I wonder if it reached that if the FA would discuss abandoning the seasons with positions as is?

In fact no, what we know would happen is that LFC and their fans would petition for the season to end, I might even be unsurprised to see them suddenly have a massive COVID19 outbreak

The punditry love in for years is going to go off something awful when they lift the trophy.

Time to move to a cave.
